I think it's the ugliest thing around. the vehicles currently used by the police forces around the world are what we should stick with. crown victoria's are beautiful vehicles, and so are dodge chargers. the one here looks like a piece of shit. I personally hate it. plus the lights are brutal. oh, and this isn't that new, its been around for a few months.

Well if you just want to make sure that no cars go into the construction zone, place a police cruiser just outside of it and turn on the directionl arrow (there is an opening between the east and west bound lanes that the cars will turn in to) and they will go the other way. They do go, you just need to give them time. It may take up to a minute or so, but they do go into the hospital

I agree, take your time man. I'm so happy you have put this much effort into it already. I'm very excited for the next one. Do you think it would be possible to make it so that if you have to turn vehicles around then you could just have them go around the scene instead of turn around?

Yea. Personally for gas explosion, depending on the area, I will use like, 5 engines, 2 ladders and a rescue on standby with extra men. I don't like to use the water tender because they aren't realistic in my neck of the woods. For car accidents, depending on the area (say a car into a police on the blocking the right lane on the north and west bound traffic. I would send in 2 lapd cruisers to control traffic, plus there would be an engine (or light equipment truck) for the EMT's to assist with the injured person, and a rescue truck (USAR) for the extrication, which would be manned by 3 guys. This would build for some realism seeing as most trucks are manned by about 4-6 guys, depending on the size of the truck, and the call there going on. For the gas explosion. I would set up a perimeter with multiple LAPD cruisers (between 1 and 2 per intersection) and leave some room for the trucks to respond in. Then I would have a few engines stationed in the left lanes so that the ladders can take priority with an aerial attack. Then I will have 2 BLS ambulances on standby with a light equipment truck also on standby with 2 EMT's. Anywho, that's my basic run through of a gas explosion, or a single vehicle mvc. Every situation is treated differently...just like in real life

I usually send out 3-5 LAPD cruisers to patrol, plus an unmarked cruiser. I also send out my ambulances all on patrol one at a time so they don't get to bunched up. For fires I try to stay realistic by sending decent amounts of trucks (for a regular house fire send 3 engines, a rescue and a ladder). and for accidents I send either an engine and a light equipment, or a rescue (depending on the severity) I don't have any special tactics, and I don't know how to use the hotkeys yet. But otherwards I try and park everything/make everything as realistic as possible. I think everyone else's ideas/tactics are awesome!
