  2. I was considering placing a driver inside inside one of my TV news trucks. Since the truck was created by changing the skins of one of my exisiting user vehicles (dolphin boat), it already has the option of two divers being selected. Can I change these two to civilians (reporters)? But I don't know what their user-id is...

  4. I used the fbi-command file, uscg_boat file, and uscg_dolphin files - not sure if these three are user files...
  5. I created three new television news trucks. I added new skins and editted them in Zmodeler. I did not change their filenames but rather just updated the model files and kept the same names. When I try them in the game, they drive at very different speeds. One of the goes very, very fast and the other moves extremely slow. The third vehicle seems to drive at the correct speed. Where do I need to edit the speed at which they drive? I already changed the Taskforce Vehicle Type and not sure where else I need to make edits...
  6. I deleted a bunch of objects off of a car but it required me to delete each individual polygon which took forvever,. Is there a way to select an entire section and delete at once rather than bit by bit? Kareem

  8. I'm using the Editor quite a bit and I need to understand the differences between vcmdflashinglights and vcmdwarninglights. Also, I need to understand the different items in Taskforce Vehicle Type. Is there a list with explanation somewhere? Been in the Editor all morning and last night but cannot get my lights and activations straightened out.
  9. In the Editor, and while I am configuring a new vehicle's traits, I can never understand what some of those names under the Taskforce Vehicle Types are. I have several new units: Engineer/Caltranz Vehicle, News Truck, and Police Helicopter, Medical Helicopter, and Crime Scene (CSI) Unit. I'm not sure what to list these units as under the Taskforce Vehicle Type. Kareem

  20. Well I can handle that. But how do I get the spotlight to show down on the ground?
  21. I was modifying the spotlight on one of the helicopters. Specifically, I changed the color just a bit to make the spotlight appear more bluish rather than the original flat white. In gameplay, this worked beautifully. Additionally, I wanted to make the light appear to vibrate like an actual helicopter spotlight tends to do when it's being shined on the ground. I planned to achieve the "shaky" affect by just duplicating the original light and making it flicker by increasing the flash frequency to some crazy high number. the problem is that in gameplay, the second spotlight stays up in the air and doesn't show on the ground. How do I make the spotlight "reach" the ground where it should be? Also, this second spotlight seems to lose its high frequency flash rate. It flashes but it flashes slower than the setting I used in the Editor.
  22. Strange thing is that it doesn't give me an error or anything like that. It just acts like either a drunk pilot or that there isn't enough fuel or something like that.   23. Lol. I kind of expected I would get a response like that. Hmmm... First thing I did was download a medical helicopter from another EM4 site (http://www.emergency-forum.de). I simply changed the names of the three files: Christoph_Europa_Suben.v3o; Christoph_Europa_Suben.png; Christoph_Europa_Suben_rotor.v3o. I changed them to the LA Mod name of "helicopter_rescue". I placed them in the correct folders. I used the Editor to place the rotor on the body of the helicopter. I also edited the lights which was easy. Then I edited the commands and traits. Maybe a mistake in the commands? vcmdtohospital, gohome, emptycar, moveto, flyto, and flytolanding. Or maybe in the traits?
