Either way, all the scenes that I've seen in LA after having lived there for a number of years and dealt with those scenes, I have seen those yellow ones. In fact, I have never seen white ones unless it was in another state or outside of the larger cities. LA, Richmond, San Jose, San Francisco, Sacramento has used yellow disposable blankets. I'm not saying they don't ever use white; I just saying that normally it has been yellow. So I would assume that Hoppah would want to try to get it as close to "realism" as possible which is the reason why I posted the original topic. Exactly right; which is why I was referring to the disposable blanket used in Los Angeles (in addition to Richmond, Ca).

I thought FD carried it as well. I've seen them use it for multi-casualty calls. I know medics and PD use them often for sure. It may not be a listed item because it usually comes stocked in a trauma bag. For instance, you may not see gauze listed as a supply item but you can bet it's on a fire engine. Just trying to help....

Also, I was only suggesting the way it is not only in Richmond but also in Los Angeles. All one has to do is just watch television news to see it. Afterall, this is the LA Mod thread and so I was posting what was real in Los Angeles. I know the tarp changes color from place to place, however, it remains yellow in Los Angeles because the emergency blanket is yellow. And this is not by choice;units dont carry a variety of colors of tarps in their cars. They use the emergency blanket which happens to be yellow. Just to be clear, the body bag is quite different from what's used to cover up someone who is deceased at the scene. The body bag is only used by the coroner some time later after they arrive on scene and that is usually black, grey, or blue depending on the coroner agency. After the corpse is placed inside the body bag (basically a large vinyl bag), it is then placed onto a gurney before being loaded into the coroner's van. Occasionally the coroner may even place a white or blue blanket over the body bag while its on the gurney. But that's not the same thing as what is used to cover up a body BEFORE the coroner arrives on the scene. Many times an incident will occur where someone was killed (shooting, car wreck, stabbing, etc..) and the body needed to covered up immediately. This is why police officers, medics, and firefighters carry this "tarp" to put over the body until the coroner arrives to handle the body more efficiently with a body bag. This "tarp" is yellow and is basically a plastic blanket with a white absorbent/napkin material underneath to help absorb blood and other bodily fluids. Civilians will often refer to it as a body bag when technically it is not a body bag. The correct name is Emergency Blanket. There's a photo of one below. And its name implies that it's used to cover up an unsightly corpse before the coroner can get there to do their work. Sometimes medics have used them to keep rain off of their patients while moving them to the ambulance. But this is what is usually used in the LA. This is an emergency blanket used in a fatal train accident. They kept both bodies inside the car until the coroner arrived six hours later. BOTTOM: Suspect killed by CHP

Had a quake happen to me twice - one moderate quake (no damage but hurt people probably from heart attacks) and one major one where there was damage and trapped/injured people all over the place.

Just discovered this yesterday: Right after I had received the call about a subject planting bombs in the area, I dispatched the bomb squad to the scene. Suddenly, just as I was scrolling the camera view to where the bomb was located, I saw a man running with a gun and shooting at passing vehicles. I hadn't even received the call yet. So, then I had to send 2-3 police units to arrest this guy while the bomb squad was enroute to the bomb call. Guy was arrested but bomb exploded setting off a huge fire that burned about three homes. It was a sad day in LA - many lives lost. We need those yellow blankets to cover those bodies. That was pretty cool. Having fun with this Hoppah!

yes, I have. Well, I have two accounts set up on this pc. One is the default admin and the other is a created admin account. I made the changes under the created admin account. Shouldn't this be okay or do I need to edit the config file under the default admin account? //Please use the edit button

This doesn't seem to work on my system. I have made the changes to the camz and campitch on the em4 (config) file several times even using some extreme numbers and there is no change in the camera views. Has anyone gotten this to work? I have tried all settings recommended in the FAQs as well as others. I was able to save the file successfully and copy it to the main directory of the game overwriting the original. But no change. What am I doing wrong here? (All other mods worked beautifully)

What are your settings for this? I cant seem to get my there...

I know that there are posts on this site about what settings to change and where to change them, but no explanation on what each of those numbers mean. Does a higher number on mincamz mean how far out the camera zooms, thereby increasing the wideness of the shot?

That Patch 2 has really cleaned up a lot of problems. I've been involved in more and more diverse calls.

I figured I would post my sirens. I just tried to compile sirens from various places and came up with this new set. You may or may not like these. Hopefully, I posted these in the right place. Installation: All you do is copy all of the sirens into the following path: Mod/Los Angeles Mod v1.9/Audio/Fx/sirens/ That's all there is to it. They will overwrite the original sirens. Always remember to back up the files you're replacing or modifying. This works for the 911/FR version but not sure about the other versions. I often wondered why that occured; it wasn't until I looked at the vehicle's left turn signal that I discovered what was going on. And PD can't do anything that either. I just wait until it eventually clears up which half the time it doesn't ever.

Despite those issues the new mod is still fun and last night I played the game much longer than I've ever played it because of the new mod. I even managed to not get my other house work done. Hurrary! Thanks for your hard work in this, considering I didn't pay anything for the mod.
