The Suburban is also a 3/4 ton while the Tahoe is a 2WD 1/2 ton. Little bit different looks between the two.

No. It has been discussed several times that the helicopter behaviour cannot be ported over to patrol cars.
-
I'm not looking to transport 30 prisoners - just 2+ away from a scene without calling multiple units off patrol. Does the LAPD not use paddy wagons of some sort?
-
In the Deluxe freeplay version - is there anyway to have a sound when a call comes in? Some events come up so quick or sometimes you are busy doing something else and don't notice something new has happened. I also have my event frequency turned down, so sometimes I'm not paying 100% attention to the game during the down time. With the 911FR freeplay, the video coming up was good to have.

No disrespect to the fallen officer at all, he was truly a hero. But I also fail to see the worth in making a tribute inside the mod.

The black and "police interceptor" are there - but you are right, there is more chrome on that car than the typical interceptor. I guess that's part of the "We're better and flashier than you" package that LAPD buys.
-
Mike, is LAPD running the fancy wheels on all their Crown Vics? Don't most services have the black police wheels with the small chrome cap in the middle?
-
We run hydraulic towers here.

Anyone else try to use the middle mouse button and rotate the map? Looks great Hoppah!

That's too bad, thanks for the reply Hoppah. It would add a nice touch of realism to force the trucks to wait in traffic. So the Police cars were modified to act as civilian vehicles when they patrol? Another thought, (although doesn't sound like it would be do-able), would be to have EMS or LAFD units be able to respond "cold" - (no lights or sirens and obey all traffic laws).
-
Here's a question/request for the LAFD trucks in the mod. When they are returning to the station, they force all cars to stop and they pass them like they do if their lights and sirens are on. Can you make them behave like the police vehicles do when they are patrolling and stop at traffic lights and follow traffic flow?
-
Are you going to add the side strobe lights? There are 4 on the side of the LA Engines.
-
Sure, take a look and see what you think. Again, you might want to check with Mike on my modifications to make sure they aren't completely wrong. I've attached the requested file for Fire Truck 1. (The other trucks are similar, but not exactly the same to add a little variety, so let me know if you want one of the others as well.) fire_truck01.rar

New textures look great. The only thing I can suggest is that you look at your lighting. I found it to be a little slow on the flash rates which made it look unrealistic. I edited the lighting on my personal files and I think it really adds to the game. Maybe check with Mike and see what he thinks as I'm not from LA.
-
It looks like you've updated the light bar. Have you updated the flash patterns at all? What are the other lights like on the those trucks?
-
I've edited most vehicle lights in the LA Mod - how can I keep my personal changes when 1.5 comes out?

Some ideas for the freeplay map. I've edited my own map so that units called from off screen take a more realistic amount of time to show up and don't just magically appear on the map edge. I personally like the realism this adds and was thinking you should incorporate this into the mod itself. Police vehicles now take longer to show up inside the Police station, (which is good as well), but was thinking the CHP and LASD units should also come from off screen for additional realism. Perhaps a new entry point from the East side of the map?

Finally found it! Thanks for the help. :1046275747_biggthumpup:

The value has to be able to be changed - in some of Hoppah's missions, you call the units from off screen and they don't appear right away. I realize I can call them later if I wanted but I am going for realism, not convinience. If I call a unit from the fire station on the freeplay map and it takes longer to get to the scene than an off map unit, then that isn't very realistic. We have to presume the off screen unit is forced to wait for staff as well and then drive to your protection area, not just magically show up.

Nobody has any idea? Is this something that needs to be changed in the Editor? I've looked in every xml and script and can't seem to find it.
