  1. Thank you very much. I think I can get started on this, hopefully soon. For now I'll be doing additions and simpler vehicles. Yes that's it. It really is hardware dependent, down to the system because I am a Ryzen CPU user and Em4 runs mostly perfect for me. Yeah if it has no cause for me but a problem for you like the City of Angels/Montana dispatch menus, then it might just kill the entire concept before it can be fully realized.
  2. If you can please send me to the site where you got this last pic, I'd really appreciate it. I think I'll get to doing this when I am able. Seems that there is (almost) enough for me to get this started.
  3. I'll play with paths to make this happen less frequently. I may be wrong about what I said. There could be a script causing issues with MP but I won't know until someone tells me. If you don't mind, have a run with it again after I release the bugfixes and more vehicles. I would like to hear the specifics of when, how and what crashes the game down to the actions done by each player. Also I am on AMD myself, though with an NVIDIA GPU and I can say that it is really hardware dependent. I've tried Em4 on Intel systems that ran poorly and I have no clue what specific thing makes the game choose to not run well. It's been over a year and I still have not found pictures of the rear of that tiller, or the sides I need to model it. I am hoping those pictures surface someday, but I am at the mercy of the private collection owners who release pictures at a snail's pace. There is no cure for this, it's just how Em4 works. Montana mod will have the same thing with the rotator lightbar equipped units in that mod. Sadly it's this or nothing. I cannot replicate the issue. Even if it works fine for me, I will still try to find the cause for your crashes. I will alter some code and see if it changes anything for others.
  4. I have no experience with Apple products. I'm not even sure Em4 runs stable on the newest versions OS. HOwever I am sure it is possible but I don't have the specifics, sorry. Personally, it doesn't hurt buying a desktop or new system but don't buy a new system just because of Em4. There are many better reasons to justify dropping cash, especially in this economy. If you need a new system anyway, go for it. If you are going out of your way to get a new system just for the game, don't bother.
  5. I will look into these issues, thank you. I believe I made a mistake in the uploading of the maps, which is why multiplayer crashes. For the dispatcher, I am not quite sure what's causing it because it works fine on my end. Might be one of those "WinXP compatibility" things that Em4 likes doing.
  6. Work continues on the mod, even if it's slow. If all goes well we may have more content to show. For now he's an old video from last year.
  7. This is a bug I've heard a bit of but I'll have to look into it in the coming days. I don't know why it crashes for you guys while it does not for Miami mod.
  8. I don't even know what I want for the utility. Should it tow, or should it be a recovery vehicle that can pull things out of ditches? I also noticed a few bugs myself, and some additions that I want to try. I'll get to those next week. I'm pretty tired as is.
  9. https://www.emergency-planet.com/files/file/1313-project-nostalgia-90s-style-la-submod/ It's finally released.
  10. It was supposed to be all that but I didn't have time or opportunity to make any of that.
  11. Posting LAFD retro spec references for anyone who may need them, Em4 or otherwise. This isn't an update to the mod, just sharing intelligence information with others.
  12. And this is where I step in as moderator and ask politely: Stop it with the "it's dead" assumptions. Seriously it's annoying. If it's dead, then the authors will say. Just remember that I've been gone all year up to this point and as you can see it is _very much_ possible to be gone for an extended period of time and still have content made for a project, even ifi progress is not shown daily. And if they don't say, and you think it's dead, don't go in here starting flame wars over it. There's better discussions we could be having than that. I'll start hitting people with warning points if they can't adhere to forum etiquette.
  13. I've been away due to circumstances beyond my control. I won't be as active posting for the foreseeable future but I will still continue to make content for this project and Montana Mod, and I will still manage the obligations requested of me from other content creators. In the meantime I've been able to make some progress on the submod. I do not have any civilians or aircraft, helicopters finished currently.
  14. I'll see what I can do with those tailboard firefighters. There's a problem with game balancing if I had this on certain models but not on others (due to scaling issues). I won't be making these units but it's likely these are fleet services or part of transportation division. The airport PD Nova is in, and both vehicles have been lighted. FS Aerodynic by EmC Unit and rihis.
  15. One out of four. The Nova is the next to be made. Lightbar by EmC-Unit and rihis.
  16. No. That's kind of where we're at, at the moment. The most unique thing is the boat trailer script, and I can make additions to the trailer scripts to enable the SAR trailer to have functions like spawning more personnel, or healing anybody who enters. I could also turn it into a fictional MCU trailer if I so want, but I don't know how realistic that would be. The ECG monitor has a functional display now. To be clear about things, this is a static image. It does not scroll or update like a real machine. The open cab logic has been added to two fire apparatus in the mod, so that firefighters appear on the rear facing jumpseats on those vehicles. I have also done some code optimizations so that your sessions will run slightly smoother.
  17. That's amazing. Thank you so much, You've helped us immensely. I can wait for the translation by the way. It's not that big of a deal as long as we have pictures. When I get a break from working on Montana, I will work on making these assets ASAP. Are there magazines/pages on other agencies? There might be some other modders who will need the pictures. For me personally, I'd like to ask if there is Los Angeles Port Police or CHP documented. I'd also like to ask if there's a feature for Miami, San Francisco, New York, Las Vegas or Chicago. Those are currently the "top" cities that I've been helping research for.
  18. The one in the FB group is what I'll make. I might do an Aerodynic CHP Fury or St. Regis. I am not quite sure yet where I stand with regards to those units. I have higher priorities like the Camaros, the 1982 SSP Mustang or the CVE units (Ram, Silverados etc).
  19. Hey man, thank you so much for posting this. If you can, feel free to send the whole magazine in this thread. I'd also appreciate translations where possible. I would like for this thread to be a historical reference for vintage/retro LA services. I will be adding your name to the credits among my "thank you" list. The vehicles in your pictures are a 1977 Ford Maverick (left) and 1978 Chevy Nova (right). This means that I have to make a Maverick model to fill the slots. I have a Nova model thankfully, so I will be reusing it. AIrport Ops in 1979 did use the Maverick, so I had a feeling that police would have been the same. Your amazing photos have confirmed that to us. They have a Malibu in 1979 (in the picture with the crash tender) so this really helps solidify the setup. That is another car model I have to make, but at least won't be too difficult. LAPD also have another version of that SWAT van except it is fully unmarked. I'll probably include your version of it in order to fully round out the fleet. I have confirmed with the LAPD fans group that the Plymouth is a 1975-76 and indeed is authentic, and they did test out those Aerodynic bars in 1978. You are correct about them being on limited basis trial prior to 1980.
  20. Not all of the COA scripts will make it in. For the first release of the new mod, it will be disappointing. I intend on improving it significantly by next year. Change out some banners and make everything a lot more low-tech and Asian, and that parade would be identical to what happens in my parts,...and I'm not American. Probably not a good sign for us. A new update to the medical treatment menu. These graph readouts do not work yet. I plan on getting these setup and corrected soon.
  21. Some really great news. I've found early 80's Airport PD units. These are Chrysler LeBarons. I also have a picture of this 1979 Malibu which I am now sure is also AIrport PD, because the spec with the lightbars and spotlight matches up with these units. Both of these are now being added into the plan for the next update of the mod.
  22. I just had my mind blown. This parade video has given us some lighting references, new Dillon PD cars (that are not relevant to the mod) but most importantly, SAR vehicles. I will not be making these new SAR vehicles until next year, however I am happy to have them here.
  23. Instructions included. Bama has got it written down thankfully and I've converted his instructions into .pdf
  24. I've decided to re-implement advanced healing into the mod. It is still quite rough and isn't the most user friendly. However I believe people will come around to it over time, and I might be able to improve it in the future. I'll also be updating the left hand GUI to be themed with the mod. I have re-added
