You'd be surprised. A month or so ago, we caught someone trying to sell models that are owned by MikeyPI. There were a lot of German and British made Em4 models that were also being sold on this marketplace. We informed as many as we could, but its really up to them whether they would like to take legal action. I hoping people would have learned their lesson but it seems that people still dont care, 3 years down the road. Anyway, the model itself looks accurate. I'd advise cutting its polycount down by half. Such a simple lightbar shape wouldnt require 1000 polygons, or 3600 vertecies.

On this topic, consider doing real life lightbars that are common to Sweden, but haven't been done for Em4.

Persons not spawning when calling vehicle via script

Its because the prototypes you assigned to be created are incorrect. Make sure the listed prototypes correspond to the prototype names of your mod. -
Because this mod topic was created before the 'modding concept' page was created. The rule is not retroactive to it only covers posts made after 2015. This topic is from way back in 2009 so it doesnt have to be moved. On the other hand, if you find something from 2015 and newer, let us know. Please avoid off topic discussion, keep it about the mod. If you have issues with the organization, use the site help section instead.

The Beiberfelde and Winterberg ones are actually more complicated than people think. They're a constant check script (not good for low end users) that relies on the other game commands for each call to be marked as 'passed'. -

Monida Pass doesnt exist IRL. Its nothing but prairie and a highway. Here's a video of the portable pond functions. This should make firefighting easier in the mod.

It says 'authorized emergency vehicles' though. That part confuses me. I have no idea if that includes POV's or not. Another function we've decided to implement is a PA system for all siren equipped units. It includes multiple variants for both male and female units. The command is intended for perimeter and scene control. When you press it, all nearby peds will turn around and leave. Combine this with the 'halt' command on police officers, and you should be able to lock down an area easier than before.

Going by the rules, there is nothing that says they aren't allowed to post a private show-off thread. Everything checks out in here. There is a clear marker on the topic title, all of the content shown has credits, THVFD has been responsive to credit change requests, and people in here have been civil about their discussions. On the other hand, if anybody posts other people's content and then claim it to be their own, thats where moderators step in. I have not seen anything of that sort in here so we have no reason to take action against this post. You dont have to worry about offending anyone. There are no rules about offending anyone either.

I added it into the poll. Does anyone know if Montana volunteer FF POV's run sirens or not? Ive figured out they're allowed a non specified number of (only) red lights. There is no information on siren usage though.

As my tutorial says. Select each vertice and move them in such a way that the flat model turns into a proper side portion of the vehicle. Check this out. Its a good angle for seeing the flow of the body and how it moves along the length of the vehicle. Wheel arches stick out a bit and the fenders are flared because its a sports car. Make sure the side body narrows a bit as it goes higher up. Note how the side of the car is from this angle. Note that you do NOT have to follow the shape exactly 1/1. Just try to replicate it to the best of our ability. In Em4, only the most jarring features matter. Minor stuff like smooth curves arent really visible ingame.

Realistically, the Caprice was only a 'demo' model. It never saw a day of duty. The Impalas are long gone from service according to my sources. I did manage to spot an unmarked Impala in an older video from OnSceneTV (or loudlabs, cant remember which one). Assuming this project is set in 2017, a lot of older stuff like the 06 Chargers would be replaced too. You'd also lose the MX7000 equipped police units.

Gonna make a poll out of that so that people can decide which setup they want. I'll be limiting suggestions to the vehicles mentioned in previous topics so that we're not making out of place combos like a 2017 truck but with a 1990 car, or a fleet of HEMI Chargers.

Oh shit, my mistake. I meant to say Lumina not Cavalier. Not super famliar with that part of the GM product line, so I got the two mixed up. The Taurus I'm doing is probably an 03. The 98's look ugly, and I dont want to be staring at this for hours as I build up the model. Looks like a Dodge Neon rip-off. I'm still unsure whether to make it 2 Lumina marked units or one Caprice, one Lumina. The Tahoe we're using is the model thats been in the LA mod for years now. Here it is in my LA mod. Ill take this model, shorten it, remove some parts and add an overhead lightbar to it. Should look good once its finished.

On that topic, I've settled on a marked Chevy Cavalier for the 2 sedans, one marked Tahoe for the higher rank officer's vehicle, and then the unmarked is an early 2000's Ford Taurus. I'm interested in replacing the Cavalier and just doing Caprices for marked patrol units but most have been shifted elsewhere as you've seen. This has since been changed to a 97 CVPI and a Dodge Intrepid, as per the poll results.

HAZMAT will come from the off map Dillon VFD. I'm just showing it off in the video for presentation's sake. Not all firefighters will have that ability, and they can only change at a particular vehicle.

Another development I've been able to figure out. This is as far as I'm willing to take HAZMAT calls. The game wont allow much more complexity than this. The portable pond function is being worked on. I just have a few more things to finalize before its ready to present.

This isnt a 'politically correct' website unfortunately. Can't ban people because their usernames offend people. Now if a user calls for violence against a certain group of people, then we take action.

You can change the color mode in the graphics settings menu of Em4. Its 16 or 32 I believe.

Try changing Em4's graphics settings to 32 bit. If not, try messing with your graphics driver's color settings.
