zmodeler won't export in same size
itchboy replied to RestingVermin's topic in Modding Related Support
Save it again and see what happens to the filesize. Make sure you are in administrator mode because that might have been the problem. -
zmodeler won't export in same size

Check the size of the Z3d file itself, not just the v3o. On my end, I noticed the size discrepancy there. -
zmodeler won't export in same size

I checked their Zmod file. No obvious issues at first glance, but I did an axis centering just to be sure. The exported file was consistent in size to the source. Okay, I looked again and noticed something weird: The original z3d file was 5mb. As soon as I saved it, it went down to 240kb. -

Send me the z3d file and I'll give it a try. -

Try checking if the axis is aligned and in the correct orientation. I recall hearing about this issue several years back but i cannot remember how it was dealt with. -
The Em4 editor automatically sorts objects by putting them in the Objects ->VehicleParts section if they are named with 'wheel01' or 'door01'. Note that your wheels and doors need to be named correctly for them to not disappear from the editor.

Go into the editor and double click on the listing for the aerial ladder. Once the prototype editor menu appears, be sure to untick the alpha reflections button.

We will need to see your logfile first before we can give a definitive answer as to what is causing your problem.

Katy Modification[WIP]

Let me clarify: This is your final verbal warning before any warning points get applied to your account. I'm actually doing you a favor here because as far as I'm concerned, if its a verbal warning, it didnt happen. Once I catch repeated offenses though, that is when I will start paying attention. -

Asking for release dates is against site rules. Consider this as your final verbal warning. -
As promised, I've created some D&R sirens courtesy of the samples provided by @Golden Helmets. Here is a preview of one of them. dnr_magnum01.wav dnr_magnum01.wav

I'll let this one pass because there's been no updated information regarding Em4D and Steam.

Thank you for the information. The pictures are very useful. Its been a month or so since the last update, so its time for another one. Here are the unfinished EMS units going into the mod.

Strangely, your logfile contains no traces of the Jackson County mod, at all. The logfile also has a clean shutdown where the 'destroy' lines are, which indicates the game didnt unexpectedly CTD. I see you're running a GTX650 which is pretty alright for Em4, but the logfile also says you're running a Pentium 2 or 3. Unlreated to your issue but having an older CPU will become a hindrance to playing some mods.

These could even be used for Em4 map textures. Thank you for making this compilation.

Amity Island Modification
itchboy replied to Oberfrankengamer's topic in Mod Development and Concepts
The only exception to the rule would be a joint city-county government such as Butte-Silver Bow in Montana. They have their sheriff and police as one organization, but they call it 'county police' instead of just sheriff or police. As for the high end spec debate: If that's the direction you wish to take your mod, then thats totally fine. I still believe that your models would be more appropriate in Em5 because of that game engine being more suitable for the LOD of your models. -

Those look great. The most glaring issue is that your cruisers have both 'police' and 'sheriff' logos on them. 'Sheriff' and 'police' are not interchangeable. They are completely separate agencies. I'd also like to ask about the polycounts on those cruisers, and the number of textures that each model uses because those lightbars (while quite nice) are too detailed for what Em4 needs. They're perfect for Em5 though and would be a big boost to the New Creek Mod. -
These scripts have been modified. What exactly have you done to it. We also need the logfile to better help diagnose your problem.

Refer to the 'adding units' tutorial. You may have made a mistake with one of the XML files. Check if the unit names, prototypes and UI icons are all correct.

No worries, just be careful next time. -
Okay, to make things clear here: Should I hide that link from this page or not?
