  1. Another thing to check is the edit dates on the scripts folder. See which ones are the LA originals (dated 2009) versus the ones youve edited which would reflect recent dates. Also check the commands of firefighters. Something may have been removed there which caused the rapid deploy to stop working. Does manually installing and removing hoses work?
  2. As the topic says at the top - This discussion is ONLY for showcasing the edits made and for taking suggestions.
  3. Thanks for the information. The Ford unit is a recreation of this truck.
  4. Perhaps it could be. Nobody will know until someone from there tells us. For now Ill just put an old halogen lightbar on it and it should be good. I have a question regarding animals. If a cow or similar animal were to go loose, how would it be dealt with? I am considering giving FWP officers a tranquilizer gun so that they can load the animal onto their trucks. I am aware animal trailers exist for a reason but Id like to know what the details are on those. Another call I have in the mod right now is confiscation of hunted animals. How would FWP go about disposing of the carcass? The FWP vehicles have been pushed to near completion. All I need are doors and an interior and it should be good. F350 cab by Ubisoft converted from Driver SF.
  5. Did you also revert the prototypes to the originals? What about checking if the hose connector dummy vehicle is present?
  6. Now I am confused as to how thats happening. Did you delete the existing LA mod and replace it with a fresh copy? Or did you just copy paste certain backed up files?
  7. Original mod, yes. Overall LWS isnt that hard to install as long as you follow the instructions in the LWS package. The package also contains examples you need to follow to make a vehicle compatible with LWS.
  8. Textures have been added in to the 2 fire engines.
  9. Did you include the rapid deployment script found in LWS? If you didm the most likely reason rapid deploy stopped working is that the vehicles in LA mod are not configured correctly. The fire engines need to be set as GTF vehicles. Next up is that they need to have the connector superchilds added in. Afterwards you would need to add the water_supply child and also the pump_controller childs.
  10. It would appear that the 80s GMC brush truck is in service. This photo from FB is dated April of this year. If you squint enough you can see what looks like a white pickup with white boxes and a yellow stripe on the rear flatbed which means its probably the same truck.

This is the longer version of the Streethawk that would usually be mounted on fire engines or tankers. Credit me if you wish to use this in your mods.
  12. Ill be working on a Twinsonic later. For now I have a Streethawk which will go into two of the Monida VFD units.
  13. You need to send a diver to the spot where the vehicle is. They will dive under the water and resurface a few moments later. An orange marker should float to the top which will allow you to lift the vehicle with a crane.

This is a car length FS Raydian SL lightbar. It has the optional hotfoots in the mounting. If you wish to recreate the version with no hotfoots, use the lightbar mounting from the LA Mod arjent lightbars. This model can also be reskinned into the S2 version without having to edit the model. Credit me if you will use this in your mods. 894 polies on a 256*2 texture.
  15. Here's the LP6000 lightbar as suggested by @mercurygrandmarquis1 Unrelated to Montana mod: For funsies, I also created an FS Raydian lightbar.
  16. For simplicity's sake Ill release the mod when everything's completed, and all major flaws taken care of. I want to throw a lightbar on it, an old school one specifically. Ill probably use what was suggested to me in previous posts.
  17. I like it, especially the texturing on the rear body. I think its time I shared the fix for why Blender exported v3o files have very high vert counts: Its because the exporter that you guys use splits all of the models polygons into individual sections.
  18. Blender has some weird texture assignments and material assignments compared to Zmod. In blenders case you need to ensure that the UV map channel and material you are working on is the same. Ive had cases where my material was using a texture that was completely different than the assigned material of that object, so be careful.
  19. Not necessarily. It would be a disservice to everyone If I released a mod with unfinished assets.
  20. Another one down. Needs a texture obviously. Is there a reason why the real truck has no lightbar? Is this vehicle retired or is this truck a POV with a detachable mini lightbar.
  21. The LP6000 is one of the lightbars I had planned for several units. I already have an Aerodynic model setup for the Lima VFD engine. Stay tuned. Another lightbar Id like to bring attention to is the SVP Impulse 2000 which will make an appearance on a tow truck I have planned for the mod.
  22. Rolling back your drivers to older ones might actually help because Em4 may not work with the newest drivers despite the advice given in past threads. Another thing that was brought up by others was an older copy of directX needing to be installed, but it was only needed in fresh installs of Win10 and not upgraded versions. DXGL is something I personally use for old games from the mid 90s for them to work in Win7. MikeyPI reported success with it, but he's running a very high end setup which is not the case with you. One more thing to try is turning off UAC. That thing always gave me problems in Windows 7 so I turned it off. It may still be the same with Win10.
  23. Im guessing you want something like this in Montana. For now, we're not interested in doing something like this. Bama and myself are already happy with the water drafting and dump tank setup we've created. If I am to do something like this, I would set it up so that the connection point wouldnt be from the hose bed (which has no connection to the pump) but to the pump directly. Ive been told its unrealistic to move a fire engine when connected to the pump because the engine is running the pump and not driving the vehicle forward, but its the only way to get it working in Em4. For any modders watching...the scripting in that video isnt that hard. All you need to do is modify Hoppah's LWS so that the invisible firefighter's position is constantly updated with the movement of the engine. You also have to allow the engine to move even if the water supply is installed. Major find. @Reaper found this video of the real life units for Lima VFD. The Ford truck is apparently retired but Im glad that I at least have guides for the ambulance and brush truck.
  24. The logfile says that the screenmode couldnt be set. This could be caused by the resolution in the config file being unsupported by your GPU...although I cant see why 1024 by 768 wont work. Looking at dxdiag, I have to let you know that Em4 doesnt really like Intel HD Graphics. Your CPU also could be an issue with its 1.6 clock rate. That spec might work for default Em4 but modded assets require more computing power. What files need to be validated? It might give us a clue as to what isnt working with your PC.
