  1. A year for the verification email? I wish we had been informed in the tech support section. It would have been possible for one of the other admins above me to resend the thing, or I could have manually set your account up. As for how to start: DL the LA mod and modify one vehicle. If you need ideas, google search your town's fire trucks, police cars or ambulance service. Optionally you could start from absolute zero and modify a vanilla copy of Em4 by creating a new mod package in the editor.
  2. Not sure. What they got looks like a high riser, while the PowerArc is just a static lightbar. Paging @Terrow, he might know about it.
  3. Proof of concept for the poaching call. I will be taking into account the suggestions given to me with regards to loading up the animals on the back of the truck. I just need to model a tarp over the bed I guess, or something that looks like the carcass on the back.
  4. You can load mods directly by making a shortcut of Em4.exe. Go into "properties" by right clicking the shortcut. Add this line in the "Taget" section immediately after the path of Em4.exe: -game -mod "Name of the mod folder here"
  5. Open up the e4mod files using the modInstaller, and not winRar.
  6. The mod is alive and well, I just haven't had anything noteworthy to share. Besides, I dont like showing off unfinished units, but I'll at least let these ones through because they have textures. The Explorer is mine but is based off an LOD by EA Games. Dodge pickup and Mack truck are all new models by me.
  7. Follow EmCs advice for the connectors. The siren script needs to be modified to include the new vehicle you have created.
  8. Both the beta and 2.1 had their share of CTD issues that end users cant fix.
  9. You're still technically paying for these mods even if you're only being granted access to them. If someone does pay you money for them, I'd like my fair share no matter how little it is. I'd also have to bring in the other modders and let them know that they're entitled to their (literal) 2 cents. From what I remember of the mods you listed: The W00ds maps have been lost to time. Haven't found anyone who has it. Montana still exists and a new version is WIP. I don't advise downloading the old buggy version. Please wait while the new version is being made. The LA upgrade mod is WIP and has not released their versions of the Taurus and Charger yet. Be patient as well. They have a lot of LAFD stuff coming too. LA Mod+ is a private mod. Not sure if it was released but I'd like to know if it was.
  10. Good find on that site, its very informative. I'll set the POV's up accordingly. I found out that one of Lima VFD's brush trucks is a donated rig from the Montana DNRC. The old GMC brush truck also appears to be one because of its apperance being similar to other DNRC trucks stationed elsewhere in the state. It now answers the color scheme question Ive had for a while. Here's a newer DNRC truck which appears identical to a brush truck that Lima VFD has. This leads to a question. What vehicles are these and what is the DNRC's role in supplying vehicles to departments? Do they act as their own department or are they the umbrella under which all FD's work?
  11. I need some guidance with this statute. Does it mean that volunteers are lights only? I dont see the law prohibiting sirens, but it also isnt mentioned.

  16. Thats a bug with the game itself, not a mod. You need to blow up the vehicle by shooting it, and then towing it away.

  18. The way I would do it is create a gameObject as the target. This gO must be positioned at the point where the user clicks, so using the "GetCommandPos" line works. From there you have a permanent (or temporary, your choice) variable that you can extract a user set position from.
  19. CmdPos is not considered a valid target in Em4. You need to use an actual gameObject as the target so that the script doesnt crap out.
  20. Minor update. I added bama's SCBA tank models to the firefighter models. I realized it would have been inappropriate that the mod didn't at least have some part of his firefighter models. Person textures by Hoppah, SCBA tank model and textures by bama1234.
  21. You need to create copies of the door model for every vehicle you have reskinned. Then you need to go into the editor and make prototypes for every door. The last step is assigning them to the desired vehicles.
  22. Try manually pointing the installer to your Em4 directory. This thread has been inactive since 2016 so I will lock this. Next time, don't bump dead topics.

  24. Its interesting that the water supply is an issue. I actually sent the mod team an edited LWS script that had much slower drain values for the tank. Water lasts much longer than before, but I also reduced the amount of water flowing in to balance things out. Its up to them now to either add more tankers or find more clever ways to solve any water issues encountered by people. As someone who helped with this mod in an unofficial capacity, I would like it that people keep their edits of the mod private. I think its good that people are learning how to change vehicles and make them work with scripts but please don't re-release the project as something completely different.
  25. It could possibly be these. The incompatibility issues are why I dont advise doing custom coronas in general. Sadly, my even my Montana mod is guilty of using those, which is why I had the presence of mind to bundle them into the (unfinished) final package.
