Trouble with changing models in mods.
itchboy replied to CanadianFrog's topic in Modding Related Support
Can I see some screenshots of the childs you put together? I am assuming you did not edit the fire hose script in any way, so the fault must be in the childs. -
There isnt anyone who will do this for you. I would suggest learning how to model in 3d, and then creating your own model of this helicopter. Optionally, you could reskin the texture of an existing game asset. Give it a try.

Asking release dates is against site rules. Please be careful next time.

Yes. Be sure to press enter after typing the name in the box. Em4 has issues with saving the names of childs. -

You need to add them in. You can use that golf ball that I showed you as a child object. -
That looks like an error on the part of the mod itself, and not anything you did.
-
I think it would be massively helpful to your mod if you learned how to use the editor. For starters, what do you need to do in the editor that you cant do?

Have you added the "water_supply" child? You also need the "pump_controller" child. -
You cannot because the exporter splits all of the model's vertices. You need to modify the exporter by removing the vertice split line from the code in order to smooth the model out.

It might be caused by the LWS you implemented. Though, why would you need to add it in if you're using Montana? Or am I missing something? -

Montana's scripts are easier to work with. The original LA ones were configured in a very unusual way. The model shouldnt matter, the steps will apply for every vehicle you put in regardless of vintage. -
I am unsure but police officers in the LA mod already could call ambulances. If this is the LA mod we're talking about, then the script can call ambulances that are on standby or ones that are at the station.
-
What exactly is it that you want it to do? Do you want them to call any cop car you placed on the map or have you made a functional police station for it?

Stupid dog, you made me look bad! *Puts on tribal mask* Did you set the vehicle as a GTF? What is the base mod you used? Which scripts are you running? LA's or Montana's? *Takes off tribal mask* -
The original LA mod has it in the LABattalionChief.script file.

Go into the editor and enter the "edit children" section. Then go to the "superchilds" tab and add connectors. They must be named "connector0", "connector1" and so on. You can only have a maximum of four. -
On that topic, I discourage people from using LA mod vehicles in 2018 just because the textures haven't aged well. They often have distortions caused by the dds texture format that was commonly used...10 years ago. I was lurking for a long time, just like you. Nothing to be ashamed about. I just wish I had come sooner because maybe better mods could have resulted from my presence.
