New Mod- police vehicles will not appear on map when called
itchboy replied to ENG51INE's topic in Modding Related Support
Did you give the freeplay map spawn points in the Map Properties Menu? Or is this referring to the backup call commands? -
The german forums have this: http://www.emergency-forum.de/index.php?page=DatabaseItem&id=2218 But you have to create the ambulance box yourself.
-
Unfortunately no. Freeplay is limited to just one hostage taker. The hostages can be as many as you like though.
-
The yellow green hybrid thats being pulled over? By Ubisoft converted and converted by me.
-
I'm also giving you options: P.S. The front parts on that new one are all 3D
-
Hands down, the best anyone's made out of my Tahoe model.
-
Thanks for the advice guys. I have fixed my issue by adding some compensation to the mapping (moving it a bit to the left than intended), which is explained by what Hoppah said about the mapping being rounded off. I never thought that the numbers in the .v3o file could have meant that much to appearances. Thanks also to EmC and bma for trying to help also.
-
How are you doing this? Using a mission script or is it in freeplay?
-
I'll give that a try. Thanks for the help from the both of you.
-
I see. So that is the cause. I have been moving some parts because I modified the shape of the rear a bit and had to change the mapping. The problem has been slightly aleviated by adding a bit of "compensation" to the mapping. I moved it a bit to the left of where I want it to actually be and when it was exported, it came out much better (but still a bit curved).
-
The line is quite visible when I play, especially in the E350 I have modified to be used as a playable unit. Also, any text or lettering on the rear side would be skewed a bit. Basically, this texturing issue would cause issues when people start putting their "decals" and emergency logos, stripes etc.
-
Yes. Many times I have tried, and nothing changes. Neither does copying the object into a fresh .z3d file.
-
That would be it. The line was set straight in Zmod yet in the v3o file it is curved.
-
I have been stuck with this problem since yesterday. Zmod fucks up the mapping of the E350 model when it is exported. Screenshot: Can anyone help. Fixing this problem would make the release date of my mod come faster.
-
Just a sliding door texture in the van pack, but not an actual playable sliding door.

Yeah. I see. Wasn't there a ban on sketchup models here many years ago? My only issue is that people often forget to credit the game studios who made the orignal base models which I converted. At least some mods were kind enough to include the readme files from my car pack which had lists of authors in them.
-
I make sure to credit the original authors on all of my converted models despite the many modifications I do to them. Often times the current state of the model is very different from the original, but I at least make sure to give credit where it is due. Unfortunately, many modders who use my models forget to include original authors. Its nice to be credited for something but it just feels wrong that the respective game companies/authors dont get their names included. Maybe you mods could make it a rule or something. Suburban looks great. Just credit me for the model. Although its pretty obvious its my model, some first time visitors to the site wouldnt know who made it.

SketchUp to V3O file for Buildings or cars?
itchboy replied to Commander Rasseru's topic in Modding Related Support
You got to carefully attach only what you need. What exactly are you trying to convert? A pic would help. -
For me, it did seem a bit offensive. We should remember that this mod has been in development for several YEARS now and that in a way, he's saying that the shootings would make release date even longer as if it weren't already long enough. It also sounds like its trivializing the death and suffering of people in a sense that this mod is just a videogame whereas the events happening right now are frighteningly real. We should refrain from commenting about these kinds of events before they pass. Instead we should offer hope and support to those affected and comfort for those who need it. Just my opinion on this.

SketchUp to V3O file for Buildings or cars?
itchboy replied to Commander Rasseru's topic in Modding Related Support
You should name the object you want exported in Zmod to "Razorback". You need to export objects with matching names in Zmod and the output files. So if I want to export econoline_body, I name the desired object as that in Zmod. -
The chassis version (E450) will have one driver side door and a basic interior similar to the vanilla EM4 cars. Most of the cars, trucks and vans will feature this except for the vehicles made by Sixteen Tons and Turn10 Studios. Here's a screenshot of 2 of the three buses that will be out. The third bus is still tentative. Not sure what I should make. The vans with interiors is still very WIP. E350 done. Will be making the version with black front parts.
-
I've finally taken the time to do something that has been bugging me so far. The Econoline vans now have rooflines: I'm gonna have to update all the versions of that van.
-
Scores have started to appear on the leaderboards. Closed beta testers perhaps?

It was made. Just not on here. http://www.emergency-forum.de/index.php?page=DatabaseItem&id=1472&highlight=g36
