cant add lightbars to vehicles.
itchboy replied to starkiller1337's topic in Modding Related Support
To move the child vertically, hold ALT key when moving. To rotate, click the right mouse button. Scroll wheel is zoom and to make the child "snap" to the vehicle, tick the "Snap to Objects" box. This should help you get it centered. It wont be exact, but from above it would look sufficient. If you are using any of cops' lightbars, they have already been centered so it is only a matter of you adjusting its height and position on the roof of desired vehicle. OPTIONAL: As a guide, you may draw a line on the exact center of the vehicle. You can do this by modifying the texture provided with the vehicle. If you want 100% precision with that, you would have to attach the lightbar in Zmodeler2. This is a 3D model editing program that allows you to make/modify EM4 models. There are tutorials on how to do this. -

What do you mean by they wont attach? They do not appear in game? Or the lightbar does not center itself to the vehicle? -
Los Angeles Mod Vehicle Set [STOPPED]
itchboy replied to itchboy's topic in Mod Development and Concepts
Pdn. Not really Ps but it did the job. -
It wont be. I purposely modified its axis and rotation so that it appears straight when fired, but pointing in the right direction when the unit runs/walks. This was achieved via script that checks whenever moveto command is executed and replaces the taser model on the person. Probably going to need permission from the original authors due to the number of changes in the taser script.

Vehicles turns green, 3D-Sound bugged in-game?
itchboy replied to skrunkdk's topic in Technical Related Support
For the green vehicle, go to your em4.cfg and go to this line: <var name="e4_doocclusion" value="1" /> Change 1 to 0 For the sounds, I am unsure of the solution or the cause. Must be an issue with your hardware. -

Looks really nice. Where in Europe does this mod take place? Really liking the volunteer personell script. Where did you get this? -
Release day is November 28. http://em5.world-of-emergency.com/news/2014-10-28/14-new_release_date_emergency_5 So its actually 26 days left.

He is. Well....technically I'm the one making it but it will be in Montana v2.
-
Well.....they couldve modified the .v3o and then put it to use as a vehicle in the prototype editor. Just wait for the authors to answer your question.

Unless they removed the wheels from the original model and put them back on as separate and working wheels.

When EM4 came out, it took several years for actually good mods to come out. Most of the early mods were just skins. Many people only started modding once several authors who mastered the capabilities and limits of the game released several "pivotal" mods. For EM4, especially on this site, that would be the Los Angeles Mod by Hoppah. A lot of new mods coming out are based from the groundbreaking (at the time) content that was created for that mod. Once EM5 comes out, I am pretty sure it would take quite a long time for us to begin to grasp the capabilities and limits of it. Perhaps a year or so before a major mod with many changes to the original content would come out. Most seasoned authors of EM4 mods would have to learn everything they know from scratch when upgrading to EM5. THE BOTTOM LINE: EM5 is way better than EM4 in many ways. But it will take a lot of time for modders to fully utilize the EM5 editor. EM5 will be released at the end of the month. Learning to mod any game takes much longer than that, so learning how to mod EM4 well is sorta out of the question. Starting on modding EM4 is quite easy though due to the vast amount of content available for download here and on other websites. But you can choose to learn EM5 when it comes out and mastering it completely. You can then use your experience and knowledge to create an awesome mod that could jump start the EM5 modding scene around the world. At the end of the day, it is your call on what you want to do with your time.

How to get unit pictures in game in unit dispatch menu.
itchboy replied to matthew's topic in Technical Related Support
Wrong topic. Is this for EM4, specifically the WHITE unit selector screen? If you are using Intel cards, this is apparently unfixable. More info: http://forum.emergency-planet.com/topic/16308-blank-white-unit-icons/page-2#entry229159 -

White Impala = Unmarked car? A suggestion also. It would look cooler if they had spotlights, antennas and other equipment on them.

SALT WATER SPRINGS MOD (FIKTIV)

Yeah it appears to be the one from that mod. Model originally by helijumper. So far, two strikes on the vehicles including my own claim. -
SALT WATER SPRINGS MOD (FIKTIV)
itchboy replied to emsfan112's topic in Mod Development and Concepts
Some of these appear to be from my LA Police Upgrade mod. Specifically, the Caprice, Taurus, HD Charger skin and Tahoe. CFD only allowed me to use and release his lightbars, antennas and spotlights. Do you have his permission for release? Besides this, you have basically taken the skins I made for my vehicle pack and simply replaced the LAPD and LASD logos. At least change it to something more original. Even the roof numbers are the same. You do get my permission to use the models I made/converted. -

I like what you did with my ambulances. Always wanted to have my own factory of ambulance makers. I also like the backstories of each vehicle in the Facebook page.

Don't tase me bro! Just a little something I made while waiting for my college's online enrollment. Not really a car but I think it could be useful for the taser script. Download me here for only 0 payments of $24.99
