  1. I might as well admit that I'm using it in conjunction with MikeyPI's random car script. I can't share it because I don't have his permission of course. The script basically spawns either a Taurus, Caprice or UMPC version when I send a regular CVPI through the game's default unit selection screen. I can still spawn CVPI's but I modified it so that CVPI's still spawn, but at a lower rate since CVPI's are dead now.
  2. Take note of my ambulance pack. The rear doors have been grouped. The front doors aren't.
  3. Manhattan mod comes to mind. There was some drama when Hoppah and MikeyPI wanted their tow truck models out of the mod. It eventually turned out to be an accidental inclusion.
  4. Yeah that is correct. Grouping them makes them open/close at the same time. The script function though is limited. It opens all doors of a certain type at once.
  5. Have this working in the WIP version of Montana Mod. I will need bama and Dyson's permission to release it, but I can show it. Utilizes heavilly modified stretcher script. Ambulances are coded to have one and only one stretcher. Once you get it, you need to return it otherwise you wont be able to get a stretcher from said vehicle. Paramedic can lift and drop patient on ground. He can also leave the stretcher on the ground. Once the patient is treated, paramedic can put the patient in the ambulance. He is unable to drop the stretcher at this point. He will put the patient in the ambulance and then he is free to do whatever. Note that one cannot get a stretcher if a patient is in the ambulance. The patient cannot be removed from the ambulance either. EM4 is hardcoded to prevent this. The main issue with the script is that the person is never properly set on the stretcher. Another issue is that it causes lag because the script updates the location of the person every half second. Third, this line ends up spamming one's logfile causing it to grow into 30mb after an hour or so of gameplay. The script isnt MP compatible either because it would probably crash servers due to the insane number of processes it needs to do.
  6. I agree with your sentiment. I only came along to make models because I was getting bored of the LA Mod content being thrown around along with bits and pieces of the Montana Mod and Nnico's 3d Models. But I do not agree that scripting is useless. The other side of those models would be to make them functional ingame. That's where scripting comes along. As someone who can do both, I'd say that they are of equal importance.
  7. Looks amazing. Though the fact that my converted F350 cab looks square-ish bothers me a bit. Maybe its the new rear bed being so nice compared to the front? If this is what you are trying to replicate, I'd be more than happy to lend my services to you guys to improve it further. It would also be a good idea to update the Moddb page with all of the new reworked PD units.
  8. Yeah. Nnico's F350 was getting repetetive IMO, so I decided to do these ambulances just for that. It's great that you find the ambulances refreshing and new. Hope to see them in more mods. And I don't think godlike status is deserving to anyone but Hoppah, bama and team NYCERU. They are the ones who jump started the American/Canadian EM4 modding scene. The only thing I can credit myself for is that every vehicle in the Whelen lights website picture can now be put in the game Left to Right: Taurus, Caprice, Tahoe, Ram, Durango, Charger(by bama, Ausavin and Nnico), Explorer IMPORTANT: My ambulance pack http://forum.emergency-planet.com/files/file/572-ambulance-pack/ has been updated to fix the wheel bug on the F550 ambulance. The new E350 roof has been added alongside the recent one.
  9. You deserve a medal. This is how I did it, except that most of the new patrol cars are "new instances". Meaning, they don't replace the original CVPI's
  10. The Passat appears in this pic Appears to be a game asset from Police Simulator 2013, another game from Sixteen Tons. The BMW M3 coupe also appears in that game as a useable police car. That model in turn is recycled from Emergency 3, specifically Traffic Car 01 White This car reappears in EM4 as a yellow wrecked version carwreck03.
  11. My initial intention when I released the ambulance pack was for people to swap out the provided LED lights with their own custom setup. The one I did is very low poly and has rough edges and was intentionally done so that people would actively try to make their own setups. I was surprised when people actually took the ambulances as is and used them despite the poor LED models.
  12. A lot of 0.5 is missing content. Hopefully I can get everything up to speed in version 1.

  15. Problem with EM4 editor as a whole. Doesn't seem to like OpenHouses. Encountered same issue when I was converting EM3 buildings to EM4 several years ago. Went around the problem by copy pasting the prototype files the moment they were created to another secure folder. Then when EM4 deleted them, I would just put it back in and keep trying until EM4 would recognize it. The game can be a bitch sometimes.
  16. I technically am on the team so I guess I can show some WIP screens. Firefighters now have reflective stripes. No more brightly glossed fire fighters. Fire stations and police stations now ingame. Vehicles spawn at start. Please ignore the badly cropped pic. Very many parking issues so far. Most if not all FD vehicles cannot park properly.
  17. Very nice screens. And only 3 days left. Editor screenshot makes me hopeful this gun be good. Well so far, I can see that EM5 uses REAL traffic cars. I can see an Audi A4, Smart Car, Range Rover, 7th gen Passat, 5 Series BMW, Skoda Octavia, and a few other Euro style vehicles. Welp. There goes any chance of straight up converting my cars. The models in the new game are already better than anything I have.

  19. Amazing. Beautiful. Wow. I really like what you've done with them. I hope my assistance made things easier for you guys. I would recommend using the Suburban model with doors. What unit is that supposed to be btw? I also recommend putting some shading and contours on the side windows of the ESU truck.

  22. Sorry about the double post but I think this is important. For the last two days, it has been bugging me that I simply abandoned the old ambulance roof model. So tonight, I decided to rework it heavilly. Barely anything of the original remains. Here it is: Still WIP. Needs light parts.
