Los Angeles Mod Vehicle Set [STOPPED]
itchboy replied to itchboy's topic in Mod Development and Concepts
HAHAHAHA nice. CalTrans F350 done. All new parts modelled by me. Has a "door" in the bed tool box. Model originally by Ubisoft. Conversion + everything else by me. -
No need. Only copy paste the texture files needed by each model.

A bunch of new LED lights, mostly stuff people asked me to do. If I can finish the CalTrans pickup truck today, I think I can finish the lighting pack as well. -
You would need to replace all their prototypes and copy over the necessary models. Scripts would also need to be changed.
-
What do you mean by switch? You mean replace vehicles in the mod? If you are using totally new vehicles...you must go through this step http://forum.emergency-planet.com/tutorials/article/1-emergency-4-adding-vehicles/ If you are taking vehicles from one mod to another, all you need to do is copy paste the prototypes and rename them over the ones you want to replace.

Los Angeles Mod Vehicle Set [STOPPED]

Follow Hoppah's readme. Lots of trial and error. Luck, skill and moderate scripting knowledge are requiered. You also need to set up a lot of child objects for every fire engine in the mod. -

Thank you guys so much for all these vids and pics. I now have a good idea on what I need to do.

So thats a heavy tow. I see. I will see what I can do since I found a good quality picture of a Heavy Tow Kenworth T800 I have begun working on an F350. If you may have not already guessed, I did these initally for my New LA Vehicles, but I saw and played some of the new US Theme mods and I noticed a distinct lack of new tow trucks in them. And that person looks so small next to that truck. Are they really that big? All of my vehicle bases have no lightbars or equipment on them. It is up to the user to add them in.
-
If I can find a blueprint for one. Is this the equivalent of the LA Mod Heavy Rescue Crane? I think I can use my T800 model for that purpose.
-
Which of the 3 tow trucks in that mod? There's the small one, the rollback and the heavy rescue crane.

Thank you. I see that there's more than one version to this. I am trying to do this type or rear thingy: Seems to be flat and not a rectangle with two "shoes"

Kent (UK) Mod (Dev Release)
itchboy replied to Pottyscotty's topic in Early Access/Alpha Stage Modifications
Yeah, we all have our limits. And the Germans are good, but they can be assholes towards us sometimes. Calling us thieves and whatnot. -

Those mods run on a mission script which would be very very hard to make. Only the best (Hoppah, bma, the Germans) have been able to do it. It wouldn't be compatible with multiplayer also. Command scripts are the only possible method if one desires regular freeplay and MP Support. Your mod, your choice. -

No need to double post but yes, RTS Mod had all of that. So did the Winterberg mod. Have you created this script and does it work ingame or not? I will only combine it if you can get yours working. -

I plan on creating a script that patients are classed according to injury: Red is serious, yellow is moderate, green is minor, black is dead. Would this be something advanced or new? -

Los Angeles Mod Vehicle Set [STOPPED]
itchboy replied to itchboy's topic in Mod Development and Concepts
I wanted to do the tanker LAFD use but I would have to model it from nothing. I have no specifics on what it is, and no reference photos for every side of the vehicle. Got no time either. I understand the need of having tankers because I have the Limited Water script in my personal LA Mod. -
Check out my post in the Mayberry topic for the fix of this scripting issue.

Yes I will plan on adding that. -
Not really the inside. Just the rear. You know that towbar that sticks out of the back. If you are actually getting raw pictures you will take yourself, then you deserve a massive shout out for that. Salamat daan! Thanks ahead. The metal bar thing that is on the back of it. I need the side pics and detailed pics of the mechanism because I do not understand how I it works, therefore I can't model it. I have already modelled the one in the pic but I would like to have a more exact picture because I think I've done it wrongly. Here is the model fully mapped. It is subject to change while waiting on reference pics This gives me the idea of making a tow truck pack or something similar because I am tired of people reusing the original LA Mod tow trucks or bama's Topkick tow truck. There was also a post here complaining about my model, but it appears to have disappeared.

Los Angeles Mod Vehicle Set [STOPPED]
itchboy replied to itchboy's topic in Mod Development and Concepts
There are a few available for download on the German Forums. If you want me to make an American one, some pictures would be necessary. My idea is that maybe I could have the CalTrans vehicle be able to tow this arrow board. Won't be too hard since there is already a trailer script in the LA Mod. -
First post of 2015 Can I have some pics of the rear towing mechanism, the inner parts and the rear tow bar?
