Import Animations to Zmodeler | Export those to .V30?
itchboy replied to Pottyscotty's topic in Modding Related Support
My edit says thank you. This post also says thank you. -
That would be that one Spanish mod. They achieved that by putting a "dummy" hydrant in the water and having the FF's connect to that. Its not actually "true" taking water from a water body.

Import Animations to Zmodeler | Export those to .V30?
itchboy replied to Pottyscotty's topic in Modding Related Support
Wrong section again Moved by moderator. Thank you. Short answer: No. Long answer: Blended uses a different animation system than Em4. Em4 uses separate individual frames, I don't know what blender uses. When you export it to Zmod, the bleder animations might not make it through due to different systems of those programs. Now, the biggest issue is that when you export a .v3o in Zmod, it does not keep animations. It only exports the static model itself. Any anims you have will be lost. So even if you do get anims into Zmod, you can't get them into .v3o. -
Los Angeles Mod Vehicle Set [STOPPED]

We could use the rear part of the model. PM me for details. We have our own KME Engine that we can use for the cab. -
Kinda looks like it. He could take my lightbar and recolor it, but it appears he has his own already. To the author: Will this mod feature some of the older NFS police cars from the really olden days from my childhood like these: From Need For Speed High Stakes/Road Challenge

Check if the file is read only. If it is, make it so that it isnt.

So because my name was mentioned and to avoid any fallout from this: Listen, this isnt about who has the better mod. Absolutely not. This is about you not crediting us, me and those people that I mentioned and Xplorer4x4. It doesnt matter I have better vehicles or whatever. It doesnt matter that your mod has YouTube videos or a cult following or whatever. Its the fact that you failed to credit us, and thus leading your audience to assume that you created all of this by yourself, when that is not the case. I was alerted to the lack of a readme for my vehicles (as per our agreement) and you also did not include the readme for the LA police upgrade mod. When you asked to use my LA vehicles, I didnt know you'd use them to create your own LA Mod. While I am fine with you doing it, I was irked by the fact that your credits were often vague and made the end user assume you made everything. See those YouTube videos of TheNorthernAlex, AceAlphlax, Patar1441 and WildcatsMike. Your mod is the first search result for "emergency 4". Its a coveted position that earns thousands of views. Now wouldn't it have been easy to at least clarify that not all content was yours and then relay it to the YouTube presenters so that the work of CFD, Goog, Me, Xplorer and others could be recognized? In your excitement to release a mod, you forgot these documentations. Had you simply included these files, your mod would be not in trouble. I did not go out of my way to shut your mod down. Neither did Xplorer4x4. None of us did. We only did what I felt was right and took ownership for the many things that we owned in your mod. I gave you an alternate solution. You could continue your mod, but without my vehicles and Xplorer's scripts and map. It would be easy for you to do that. By your own you have a map you can use thats unique. You could start from there. But it is your choice and only yours to cancel the mod. At the end of the day, it is your mod and your decisions into what you do or put into it. Good luck with your future modding endeavors. To everyone else. Just dont forget to credit people upon release of your mods. WIP's here need to be credited, though not as prudently as an actual release. There's nothing wrong with reporting wrongdoing. All you needed was proof that there was no documentation and then you could have taken it to a mod. This guy didnt get banned or anything, so there is no harm in doing what you feel is right. You just need to be 100% sure that you have a valid reason when you hit that report button or send a message to MikeyPI or NFK.

Unfortunately, this is something that plagues ALL lighting put into the game. Its an issue that cannot be avoided. I've had many many light setups ruined because of this. The only thing left is to deal with it. The reason the game does this is because it "rounds off" the coronas' position to the nearest whole value. It doesnt seem to like some setups, especially those like yours where multiple coronas are lined up.

They look great. A lot more lively looking and the lane marks get the NY feel. Asphalt looks smooth and has better contouring. Map overall looks less gloomy. -
No. Its a "kind" of .dds .dds is the file extension.
-
I dont know if GIMP allows you to save in that format. Give it a try.
-
Is this for Em5? Use DDS Converter to convert them to another format. Any will do as long as you can see everything in the whole texture. If you're using paint.net, save it as X8R8G8B8 .dds. It should show up. Then save the final texture as DXT3 because Em4 does not support X8R8G8B8.

SWAT Heavy Rescue model + template. Waiting for skin and lights. Original model(s) by LA Mod team, cab and rear heavilly heavilly edited by me. Some more previews of finished units -
I like your films so I'll help you out. They are in: Emergency 4\Data\Textures. There are 4 .dds files. They are called selector_m1, 2, 3 and 4 DO NOT DELETE THEM. Instead edit them to be completely transparent. Some hints for your LA series. I have some (a lot) of LA themed vehicles available for download. Get you and your leader to group PM me for additional details.

Houston Mod(ON HOLD)
itchboy replied to willowfork fire capt's topic in Mod Development and Concepts
The author of the model was never made clear actually. The fact that it has 26k polygons and a lot of defects lends me to believe it is converted (rather poorly) from GTAIV. A car mod specifically, like this:
