Its the opinion that most content creators have on people who steal stuff, don't credit, and do things that you did. There are several custom scripts running in the mod. One, you have the Stop sign script, the other is the night sound script, third is the fire hydrant script. Two of those are by bma, the hydrant is by me. Try checking those because those are the most likely suspects. In Em4, if a loop in a script such as the one you posted does not terminate, the game crashes. Stack overflow I guess.

Hmmm..in our C++ classes, we were told that we didnt need to include a initial value if we already had the integer value or counter declared already. The counter in that loop has already been defined as a global variable so re declaring it in the loop would mess it up each time the loop was entered. Lets keep this public so that we can "crowdfund" the fix for the mod and bring out some of the talented scripters on the site.

Thank you for crediting the content owners. I have a Lenco BEAR and Beacat model currently completed but unwilling to share due to recent issues and they are preserved for my mod. I also have a Chevrolet Silverado HD2500 model WIP, but stopped due to the conflict. I would recommend using Nnico's CVPI model instead of mine. Mine was intended for civilian use only. I dont know where to find a link for it but it is still somewhere around the interwebz. The units look great so far. I had many many lightbar and LED packages available previously but shut them down due to the recent conflict as well.

He has a life and a family, and he is in the Army (paratrooper I assume because of user name) so he probably got sent to the Middle East for a couple years and only was able to come back to his home now. Have you forgotten all those vehicle bases I did, those Fords, Chevy's, Dodge's, Ambulances, Random light equipment packages, and my own Los Angeles Mod? How about the Montana mod which I've worked on contains the first functioning (albeit buggy) American style volunteer Fire Department gameplay? The way you say it makes it seem like Dyson and Raf are the only people who have made 'innovative' things here. How about MikeyPI's NYC mod? It has SO MUCH new content, over a hundred genuine new models, a custom map, and progressive gameplay, which no other mod has. There are plenty of other things that have been done for this aging mod. Please be more open minded about it. If anything, NYC2.0 would have kept this series going way more than any other mod (even mine) could. But unfortunately, the community has decided it doesnt need that mod, so the moderators have just ended it. Ey, don't forget me. I value my time just like you guys do. I have my own set of models and buildings I wanted to share but right now, naahhh, I think I'll just give it to other content creators such as yourself.

It also means that it would be the end of the english speaking Em4 community. Pixels and polygons are only insignificant if you're not the guy who made them. I dont believe you've commited a mistake there, but apologizing and owning up to a mistake is good. What you have done is more mature than most of the community at large.

It will last as long as it needs to. As long as the community feels that its okay to disrespect us, then it will be this way. Don't forget that the only reason this thing started is because the forum browsers decided to make it an issue. The content creators then watched as the fingers pointed at them and decided, its not profitable or worthwhile to put our blood, sweat and tears into a community that simply doesnt give a damn about us. All the people want is a constant stream of 'new' content regardless of quality. If someone breaks the chain, they are hated and railroaded. Since the community wants 200 reskin mods with the same vehicles over and over again, this is what they will get. Which is why most of the model makers here have left. Its also why I've shut my things down, because like people have said, that my models cause problems for them. Content creators don't need to invest time in Em4 because we have lives outside of it, and we could choose to take our talents to other games such as GTAV. More importantly, if people say that the content creators are the ones destroying EmP, what incentive do we have to continue making things for these people? Its also terrible that OC makers like us have absolutely no security over our content. Any random chump could just reupload it somewhere else and slap their name on it, and nothing could be done about it. If you call us greedy for thinking this way, then you probably are part of the problem. If I stole your car, then the police caught me, and then I were to blame you for having a car in the first place, wouldn't you be mad too? The boycott is basically our way of saying that we have rights as content creators. Now here's the flipside to that. People here feel so entitiled to be able to get to play a mod that they will take anything that is given, stolen or poor quality, and bow down to that author as long as the flow is constant. The sense of entitilement is what has ruined this site. "We are the community so we deserve new mods everyday" attitude is the root cause of the community going this direction. The moderators are only there to enforce the site's rules that these entitled people feel are unreasonable in every single form. The audience who aren't able to make anything besides reskins are gonna have one long boring summer without original content (OC). Its their choice and there is no one else to blame but them. If you think a content creator standing up for him/herself is ridiculous, then don't expect us to want to mod for this place. This kind of attitude scares of potential OC creators as well. The truth is, that the moderators are enforcing a rule that has existed for years. Only now have they decided to act upon it. There could be a variety of reasons, but the most likely one I assume is that the site has been sued because of some content here that belongs to someone else. Due to the way lawsuits work, the moderators and Stan aren't able to speak about it publicly. That is why they have started the crackdown, probably because they don't want to get sued, and so the site doesnt get shut down. If anything, the lawsuit should go after the author who stole the things and not the site itself. Sorry for hijacking THVFD's thread. Well said. Now for my all caps and bold statements: The moderators WILL BE making their final conclusions about the various authors. They aren't able to respond often or even occasionaly because they are so busy trying to trace down EVERY SOURCE FOR EVERY MODEL AND SKIN. This is why they haven't said anything yet, FOR THE SIMPLE REASON THAT THEY ARE NOT DONE YET WITH THE INVESTIGATION. I see posts on FB and various media saying the site is ruled by children. Well, if you don't like it here, then GTFO. Thats it. There are many other sites you can go to for reskinned, rehashed and stolen content. When these disrespectful people are gone, me, helijumper, the NYC Mod team and the rest of us will come back to making mods full swing. I can at least promise that on my end.
