Beginner's Questions - Scripting
TheAxeMan33 replied to avenger___'s topic in Modding Related Support
Here's how to add car accidents, enjoy. -
Can you give more information? I can download it fine, and play it just fine, downloaded my version from the website. You need to use another browser like firefox or Microsoft Edge / Explorer. I'm assuming you're using chrome, which can sometimes false-flag certain types of things for numerous reasons. Although mine works fine w/ Chrome.
-
Download it from here, the link is for v3.0.0, you can move back to Downloads and pick a earlier version if you wish. http://www.moddb.com/mods/manhattan-modification/downloads/manhattan-mod-version-300
-
Try contacting the mod author, it'll be a issue with the modification, he could fix it entirely for everyone who downloads it, instead of you just fixing it yourself with what it seems like no script knowledge it'll be harder for you.
-
What modification is it that the button does not work on and did you modify it? if you did modify it, was it working previously?
-
^^ In addition, I thought that LA Mod came with a application that does the installation process?

RESOLUTION CHANGE BROKE GAME, DONT KNOW HOW TO FIX.
TheAxeMan33 replied to EmergencyFan2's topic in Technical Related Support
If you don't know your screen resolution, I googled a site for it and came-up with this. http://www.whatismyscreenresolution.com/ in the future do not modify anything that you are not aware of what it does or if your computer is right for it. If you cannot fix your game with inputting the right resolution for your screen, download this into your main EM4 directory and configure it to your proper resolution. -
that's the first call I had upon the download being fixed, what steps did you do, and do you have a logfile for the game that got crashed? -- The Modifications download was fixed, I encourage everyone to use the unpacked version, as some are reporting issues with the packed version.

I think something happened to the download after a-few hours of it being uploaded, Chrome won't alert you that the file unexpectedly ended but Microsoft Edge will, when I downloaded both versions I got the error for the download unexpectedly ending, same for Firefox and Chrome. http://www.emergency-planet.com/profile/79999-firebuff319/ not sure why you said nothing is missing, because it's obviously missing a lot of of the main required folders, like Prototypes, Objects, Specs, Scripts, etc, etc. The Downloads page is currently under maintenance for the CPH Modding Team, I believe there was a server issue that was causing this, as the reason why it was missing the required files to be playable. Hopefully it will be working soon. "Hello anyone, this is the web-developer here. The download site will be takedown until 7 / 2 - 16 2 / 7 - 16 And it will get up again at (UTC +1) 21.00 danish time. "

Well there goes my paycheck, great thing I have "sick leave"

They already are in his file, he just is new to EM4 and doesn't understand how it works. Just load your game and click Modifications. Any parent-file in Mods are fully installed mods.

I think all of us would've appreciated if you included more information, and even followed the category rules by doing the following. 2).Have your logfile from your game so that it may be reviewed. EX: C:\Program Files\Wizardworks\Emergency 911 First Responders\Logfile.txt. 3).Get your DirectX Diagnostic Log Start: Run: Type in dxdiag and press ok. After it does it's diagnostic save the information and upload it. 4).List your system specs if the information of your hardware does NOT match the DX Diag or information was omitted from the report. Please also remember to use the "Upload" file or "Wrap in Code Tags" options to attatch your DirectX Diagnostic log or your Logfile.txt so that they can be viewed without consuming a large quantity of a page. To upload the file, just browse and select the .txt file and press "UPLOAD" and they will be attatched. The alternative will produce a code box around your choosen text, preserving all coded information as it belongs. To do this you can hit the button found to the left of the "youtube" button and [code}{/code] (replace the }{ with ][) appears, copy and paste your logfiles into the space between the ][ symbols and post. Any post that has the log file directly written in the post without either the code box or attatch feature WILL Be edited/removed. Assistance Requests that fail to do the above mentioned tasks will be virtually impossible to diagnose and assist in repairing. As such, they will most likely remain unanswered or be deleted!

The Download is just corrupted, nothing that can be done unless it's reuploaded. What? Please be more specific, what are you trying to do?
-
The only thing I could really think of is that there are not any start points for said callouts, which could lead to this issue.
-
Not that I know of or seen, typically if people give youtubers modifications they aren't really considered beta-testers since they play a more variety than the normal EM4 player. Sorry for the late reply, been having trouble connecting to EMP lately.

LAtofirestaion script error.
TheAxeMan33 replied to RestingVermin's topic in Modding Related Support
Shot in the dark, but does the error popup state anything substantial or important? (or upload a screenshot) -
v2.0 has the additional station, not sure about v1.0. Links are on the first page.

In all fairness, they made it very clear in the first place that the mod has bugs and is still in development / work in progress, it's still honestly a very playable and great modification, I average 2 hours a day, with very minimal issues. Even though it wasn't in the bug list, it should be expected, plus it was stated previously in the topic if I remember correctly.

2 parts that teach you how to make enterable buildings.
-
When you double-click it, it uncompresses it and allows you to install it using whatever program you have set for .e4mod, also you cannot start a installation of a rar file, due to the search ability being set to search only for .e4mod type files. I believe that something occurred during the installation, (unlikely but possible).
-
I just tested the file again and it's fully working, the corruption issue typically occurs when the file is breached in any way, or as I stated, the modinstaller path being off. Try to re-download the modification again and see how that goes.

both for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and HKEY_CURRENT_USER 1. Re-install 911 First Responders to C:\Program Files (x86)\sixteen tons entertainment\Emergency 4 instead of the default directory. 2. Start regedit by selecting Start - Run, typing in 'regedit' and then hitting 'OK'. 3. Select 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE' and press the '+' button to its left to expand the list. 4. Next, select 'SOFTWARE' and press the '+' button to its left to expand the list. 5. Right-click on 'SOFTWARE' and select New > Key. Enter the new key name: sixteen tons entertainment 6. Right-click on 'sixteen tons entertainment' and select New > Key. Enter the new key name: Emergency 4 7. Right-click on 'Emergency 4' and select New > String value. Enter the new key name: Installdir 8. Right-click on 'Installdir' and select Modify. In the 'Value Data' field, C:\Program Files (x86)\sixteen tons entertainment\Emergency 4 Now, exit the registry editor by selecting the File menu and then clicking on Exit.
