Its not, its from GTA SA, and in all honesty that doesn't really help at all with models, because its completely different.
-
I can't tell because the pic is very small, but it looks like a BMW, they are also used by CHP.
-
In all honesty you don't need to have 4 people because if you grab a second stretcher then the stretcher bearers still only counts as 1 person and you aren't taking up two spots, and aside form that the heavy rescue ambulance in the AUS it can carry two patients, and the national guard ambulance can carry something like 4 patients, so yeah, really depends on what your needs are.

wupertal and budapest mod arent on the list because they are already out this is for mods that are yet to be released.

Could be that hes not playing on the LA Mod freeplay map, he could be playing on the default deluxe map or something I,m not sure.
-
Yeah, just to let you know in real life, that is generally how its done, I know a good deal of police officers, who love to jerk around with the manual and will go crazy with it most of the time even if its for something as minor as clearing an intersection, I mean have you ever seen a copy going code 3 to a call, they never just hit one siren and then let that go the whole way, they usually mess with the manual a good deal as well as the air horn.

to the forums, and one thing I would defiantly suggest is do not redirect traffic if you can help it, instead try having an officer stop traffic and hop to god that it doesn't block an intersection. Also if you have an accident in one lane on a big road only stop that lane and keep the others free to open traffic and keep the rest of your emergency vehicles above the accident in the same lane to keep traffic flowing, also do not ever redirect a bus if you see one it tends to head strait for the bridge and gets stuck on the end.

Yeah the Pierce site, as well as the one for E-One, Seagrave's website should have it too but it really depends on the make and model of rig that you want dimensions of.

The grand daddy of them all: This if from the neighboring department, Name: Ladder 4 "Big Sexy" Year: 2004 Type: Pierce Arrow XT Tiller Ladder with a 100' heavy duty ladder Equipment: Body and Aerial: 300 gallon water tank. Hosebed capacity for 800' of 5" LDH. Gortite rollup doors. 161' of ground ladders. 1500 gmp Waterous single stage pump. Outlets: 1.5" tank fill, (2) 2.5" left side, (1) 2.5" right side, (1) 4" right side. (2) 1.5" speedlays, 200' of 2.5" deadlay. Harrison 10kW hydraulic generator. 100' heavy duty ladder. Akron 3578 electric monitor with stow. A little about this unit: Ladder 4 (formerly Ladder 1) Was housed at Raleigh Fire Department's Station 1 along with two engines and a field command truck. The truck was on the front line from 2004 to July of 2009 when the rig crashed enroute to a small structure fire. "Big Sexy" as her crew dubbed her was a beast of a machine and could handle multiple jobs at a scene including filling in as a pumper when needed. A video of Engine 1 and Ladder 1 en-route to a false alarm, notice the co-ordination between the driver and tiller operator, you can also see Engine 13 outside of quarters for an unknown reason.

Yeh the new fed bars, are not as nice as thier older onces, itd be really cool if the units could have Fed Sig Jetsonics, now those are some kick ass looking bars: Examples for all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
The sad bit is that in july that rig flipped taking a turn like that too fast, about 30 MPH
-
Okay, who here has seen tokyo drift, I know I have and it was pretty, cool, but I bet you guys have never seen a fire truck drift. Video of a 2004 Pierce arrow XT drifting, bet you've never seen that before
-
A tiller has the same benefit as a strait stick truck, in that they don't have the basket to block their patch with a direct entry into a building say through a window or balcony, with a basket you would first have to be raised up in the basket and then climb over the edge of the basket and into the entry point which is very dangerous I might add, and the advantage of a tiller over a strait stick is that they can maneuver better in city streets because the wheels on the tiller can be turned to provide easier handling. In fact if you watch this video you can see this in action: This video is of the Raleigh Fire Department's Station 1, at the station are Engine 1, Engine 13, and Ladder 4 *Formerly Ladder 1*, which had a crash in June taking a corner too fast and flipped.
-
I meant a 1970-80 model of tiller from them similar to this: I know, I know, its lame that I would like this but hey it was a kick ass movie and this rig looks kickass no matter how you look at it.

When i say cut down on confusion i just use the standard LAPD patroll officers and only call in swat from off map when theres a hostage situation, I mean having to deal with all the dif CHP, LASD, LAX PD, and LA port authority cars is just kinda a pain in the ass i usually just roll out about 3-4 CVs with 2-3 chargers, and try to keep the unit number down
-
just noticed this today looking at this thing its a tiller truck from the neighboring city to mine, which in co-incidence is the capitol of NC, but yeh The tiller has a pump on it, never seen that before, dont know if you guys have, btw its a 2004 Pierce Arrow XT 100' ladder
-
The reason it dosen't work is aside form the unhooking bit, it cannot be deployed so that you can raise the ladder, and I really love the tiller trucks, they kick ass and it blows that they wont work in multiplayer.
-
Okay, I have not read through all 11 pages of this thread but is it at all possible to make the tiller work in multiplayer, its a pain in the ass to have to work with the tower because there are no hoses so whenever you dispatch the tower you have to dispatch an engine with it so that the FF doesn't have to run across the map to the nearest fire station, its a minor annoyance when I play multiplayer with that fact, and in all honesty I like tillers better.
-
Yeah well I just hope there aren't any missions that require the dog, cause I don't use LASD, maybe CHP, but mainly LAPD just cause its too anoying to fuss about with all the different officers and everything.
-
Would not be a bad idea to replace the SAR dogs with bloodhounds, I like the idea, I'm just wondering how difficult that would be, also I think the Ford F-250 would be the best solution because it can hold more than one dog, while most of the SUVs and CVs only carry one, its not very practical to have to tone out multiple units for a task like that.
-
A tiller usually refers to the tractor drawn aerial ladder that many departments still operate, here's an example of one from LA. many FDs from major cities operate these because they tend to have a longer reach than most of the tower units, as well as not having a bucket to interfere with the extrication of someone from a balcony or window.

Wish it would be, I am very interested in the mod still and frankly having learned a good deal about the Japanese culture from learning how to speak Japanese to becoming an accomplished student of kendo, this is just a really great idea and would love to see it finished, (although the odds are against it) NANDESKA!?!?
-
I'm pretty shure the F-150 is a transport for more than one dog, because in the back it does have the space for it, possibly for search efforts where they need more than one dog. Also, LAPD is really the focus with the mod, and I hate to put a damper, but I never use LASD, they are just an annoyance to me, LAPD patroll cars and SUVs work fine for me.
-
Hoppah, didn't know and it has been driving me nuts not being able to figure that out, and again is it really popular out in LA, because its only used by one dpt in my state that I know of. *Quick Note*: The most popular lightbar in my state seems to be the whelen justice, although there are still units running around with whelen edge bars, but they are being fazed out.

What we have here is a United States Coast Guard High Endurance Cutter (WHEC) more specifically of the Hamilton Class of cutters. Their primary missions are High seas search and rescue, and the enforcement of laws and treaties, meaning these ships are usually deployed away from land and support bases for extended amount of times, they are equipped with a 3 inch main deck gun, as well as several RHI (Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats) and these class cutters have a flight deck that can accommodate a MH-65 Dolphin. The current USCG helo in game is a HH-60J "Jayhawk", and these are not able to land on the WHECs, so that's a no go right there. Also to be noted the USCG Defenders that are going to be coming out in the additional units sub-mod are not carried aboard this type of vessel, and are generally launched from the shore as a port security and mid range search and rescue craft. Sorry if I went on a bit of an information deluge but hey, someone has to straiten out the facts.
