  1. Additional updates are being worked on for both Boston and Manchester mods currently. We are fixing lights, replacing some vehicles, and working on new maps and features. We hope to have some sort of updated Boston Mod out by November/ December of this year, and a Manchester update shortly there after.
  2. Why are people continuing with this non sense?
  3. Is there a way with the above script to change the spawn location of each of the vehicles?
  4. Tried it, didn't work. Not sure what the issue is.
  5. I currently have two separate scripts in my mod to dispatch a 2nd Alarm and 3rd Alarm each consisting of three off map units. The scripts work and the units come onto the map, however, they come to the same spawn point at the same time and end up in a pig pile on top of each other making it impossible to move any of them. Does anyone know how to change the spawn location for each of the vehicles?

  7. I have checked the editor and nothing seems to be missing in the editor. I added lightbars, wheels, and doors to the vehicles and they are all there in the editor without any dummy files.... Also like BBAILEY298 said, there is nothing in the log file and no scripts that are causing the issue. We had some scripting issues initially, but those have all been fixed. The issues at hand now are with regular vehicles like tow trucks, police cars, and fire chief vehicles.
  8. I am looking for some minor help. I have created a new mod based of of the LA Mod, and when I click on a unit from the list to bring them on to the map, the whole game crashes. I have edited the LAFireStation script as well as the specs, portraits, and language files. I am not new to modding, but this is my first time building a mod from the ground up and this is a major set back. If anyone has any ideas for what files I should check, please let me know. Thanks
  9. The problem has been resolved. I added the VcmdWaterSupply command to the trucks..... oops.
  10. I found that water_supply_main is disappearing from the map after it is saved as well as certain commands for vehicles and persons. I have the auto save button checked so there is no reason for it not to work. The limited water supply portion is not working to begin with. The firefighters exit the engine, 3 grab the hoses, 1 connects the hydrant to the truck and then gets another hose and connects to the truck. I added all the scripts and added the vcmdpumpswitch and pcmdpumpswitch commands as well as vcmdcannonswitch commands. The engines are all GTF models. When you disconnect the engine from the hydrant, the water level does not go down. Im stumped.
  11. My issue is that the mod works fine on my PC, but nowhere else. Kinda strange.
  12. We added the same scripts and followed the instructions from Hoppah's demo. I added the commands to the trucks and personnel and added the water_supply_main to the map. All other additions were units already/previously in the mod that have operated without issue. The mod runs fine on my computer (where all the files were compiled and added from). I have no idea what the problem is. I had the issue with CTD last night, and this morning I redid the whole thing and added the info to our base mod, then changed the info file to the current description. No troubles on my computer, but when others download it, it crashes after loading 99%
  13. Hello again, I am looking to see if anyone has found of created a script to have an engine work as a tanker and an engine at the same time. For example, an engine that is able to attach to a hydrant, and supply another engine while firefighters are still able to use hoses to fight fire. I have tried tinkering with Hoppah's Limited Water Supply scripts, but I keep hitting dead ends. I have tried to add the engines as tankers, but all this is doing it keeping it from operating as an engine. Thanks!
  14. I am trying to find a way to script this simple concept. I am creating a new mod based off of Manchester, NH, USA. In real life, like with many other cities and towns, many stations are staffed with 4 people that crossman an engine and a ladder. I am looking for a script that will make it so that vehicles can only be moved if they have at least 1 person in them (driver). I have looked around and have not seen any other scripts like this. If anyone has any ideas or can offer any assistance, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
  15. I edited my LAToFireStation script to reflect the new mod I made. All the vehicles go to the stations and pull into their spots... however... after parking, they immediately say "no room in fire station, vehicle returned to base" and drive away. I have tried resizing the virtual objects, and that does not work. Any ideas?
  16. Thanks, I found the portraits file in the language folder that i forgot to change. I wish I had a mod team, but right now it has been just me and one other person, no one I know of had a computer that is good enough to run the game and that deters them from wanting to help out.
  17. I created a new mod based off of Hoppah's LA Mod. All I have done so far is add new vehicles. I rewrote the portraits scripts, infotexts, and all the others as well as created new unit files for each new vehicle. When I start the mod to test it out, everything loads, but when I enter freeplay, it finishes loading, goes to a black screen, and crashes. When I roll the files back to the previous version I made a few months ago, all works fine. Can anyone help? I can provide you with my files to take a look. It is not displaying a script error and I have never had an issue like this before. I have a moderate understanding of mod building and scripting and have never had an issue in the past.

  19. I am stumped.... I have been trying for days to move some trucks around on a personal mod I have been working on, but nothing is working. I have reviewed Hoppah's tutorial at http://forum.emergency-planet.com/topic/7020-replacing-a-vehicle-in-one-of-the-fire-stations/ and have done everything stated, but I am still getting error messages and script error messages. I have been playing around with the FD Command mod and am trying to move around the ambulances out of the large station and replace other units in outside stations. I have moderate proficiency at scripting as well and working with virtual objects in the editor. Again, I have looked through the threads and can not find a solution, hence my post. I have attached the script file that I have been working with as a text document LAToFireStation.txt
  20. Well I'm new to this forum and was only asking a simple question as I have been working on a similar modification on my own for quite some time now which will be available hopefully in March 2014.

  22. Some friends and I are trying to play Emergency 4 on multiplayer. I have tried hamachi but am not having any luck. I make my own network and we were all able to connect, but when I host the game, it does not show up on anyone's screen, nor does the direct IP work. Keeps saying server not found. I have read many of the other posts, but many are from 2012-2009. Looking for something more current. I have used a few different computers. Do I need to open my ports on my router? I have a comcast/ xfinity router. No one else has has been able to host due to time constraints. Any ideas?
  23. I have tried installing mods for EM4 besides the LA MOD V2.1 (which works) and nothing will install. I keep getting an error message stating the mod package is not complete or stating that the package is corrupted. I have tried on 2 different computers with different operating systems and specs and have the same issue. I finally got the modinstaller to work as I have a copy I bought off of Amazon and the registry keys had to be fixed for the modinstaller to work. any help would be greatly appreciated!
