Well, I don't own an Xbox360, but from what I can tell from what my friends say, the RROD is really just a crash and probably 7/10 times they just need to restart. Just like on my PS3, sometimes I have to restart because of a game crash. Although the NVG goggles are most likely crap, at least it's better than most special editions that get released. "HEY! PAY £10 MORE AND GET A BOOK FILLED WITH ARTWORK AND A BEHIND THE SCENES DVD!!!!111" No thanks. Apart from GTA:IV and Sims3, hardly anyone gives customers good special edition games.

Why? I can't stand games with a rubbish multiplayer menu when you're ingame. Consoles are ok thought cause I never know the button to press COD:MW2 should be good - I just hope it lives up to the expectations people have, but something tells me it's overhyped already Mafia 2 got a release date???

I own a PS3 (60Gb) and I think they're good. Sony just screwed it all up though - too late, not as many features at the start of release etc. And the emulation software is only for 60Gb models - and is kinda rubbish. It all just boils down to personal reference in the end Another factor to consider is what your friends have. My "friends" own Xbox360s, so I went for the PS3. They're tiny! I think the issue is that the playstation controllers go off at an angle, and the buttons are a bit more spread out. The 360 controllers don't do this as much - if I hold the two grips, I can cover pretty much the whole controller and I don't like that. May I suggest the Ferrari Thrustmaster challenge racing wheel? The wheel is considerably smaller, but it has all the buttons you expect (including gear change flaps on the sides) and pedals. It's cheap too, and reliable. Unless you have cash to blow and want an expensive, big one with a gear change. Thrustmaster 5-in-1 wheel Really good too as it works with all consoles and the pc. The one reason I don't buy GTA games for consoles - The mods really improve the game. Duh, Logitech stuff always break. I broke lots of their headphones before Madcatz do the best 3rd party technology Wait, what? That's better than my computer! (7600) EDIT: 2nd higher poster, and I don't have an Xbox

Get a PS3, cause I said so OR upgrade your computer, probably better in the long run. haha, what? The controllers are crap man. I bought a 360 controller for use with my pc, ended up plugging in a ps3 controller....ended up buying a steering wheel instead xbox controllers are too small anyway. miked, if you do go with a PS3, make sure you sign up to the psn with an american account too (if you're not already from america). You can get demos days before they reach other stores. If you want some unbiased reviews, then go to Cnet - they are the only ones I can find that are fair review 1 review 2

Emergency medical services in your country
hunter42 replied to 917893678251's topic in [EN] Off Topic
In the UK, our primary medical service is the NHS - National Health Service. Introduced after the second World War, the idea was that the NHS would help anyone that needed care from the cradle to the grave. The NHS was to be free at point of use, and paid for through taxes. However, there was such an overwhelming usage after the scheme was introduced that certain things had to require the person to pay for them. Most notably glasses and.... certain perscribed drugs, I think (e.g asthma inhalers). Despite what a lot of people and the media says, the NHS is a really good service, but it really needs an overhaul with it's managers and more backing from the ministers (haha, yeah right). There's still private hospitals too, like BUPA. NHS ambulances tend to be either yellow or white, with a yellow and green checks (forgot the real name) There's also emergency ambulances/fast response vehicles, which are basically similar to the EMS car in L.A mod. You also get doctor vehicles. I noticed this differs from place to place. They tend to be marked vehicles with either a blue or green light, like this: But we also have unmarked vehicles with just a single green light. As far as I know, the unmarked vehicles are simply the vehicles of doctors and have no siren, but they can still respond to an emergency. We also have volunteer emergency ambulances - The British Red Cross and St. John Ambulance. If you ever go to an event in the UK and see medical personnel, then the chances are they are from St. John Ambulance. Wikipedia: St. John Ambulance Wikipedia: British Red Cross -
You could choose to do something that you like, but you still need the required grades and possibly a required subject such as chemistry or biology. complaint: I just threw up a little in my mouth. Now my stomach really hurts

Complaint: My maths teacher won't shut up about how maths is the most important subject ever. I have three English teachers every week, all of whom are useless. And most of my friends are d***s I've only just received information for UCAS (system in the UK for applying for universities), I'm 2 weeks behind everyone else and I have no idea what I want to do. The only thing I'm good at is History... "Oh, so you're going to be a history teacher/lecturer or work in a mueseum?" No, I'd rather die, thanks very much.

Hahaha, harsh NFK - nice, but harsh What's your mascot?

I'm not good at pranks, but the best I ever managed was to convince my friend he had to go and get the HPV immunisation jag - sadly he did have the smarts to figure it out ounce he arrived at the nurse station at the school (For those unaware, the HPV immunization is to help prevent cervical cancer)

The company that made this also made/contributed to America's Army. Video from the game:

If I knew that, then I would've answered my own question Actually I just figured it out. On Road Wars, if there is a clip from another country, they never talk to the police involved like they do with the UK clips. Obviously they don't research their facts either. This is a similar video, but with a different narrator and no policemen interviews. The chase took place in Texas, No L.A.
-
As far as I can tell, it's not in the UK yet, so I'm going to have to wait. Probably gonna cost 40% more too
-
I'm sitting watching a police program called "Road Wars". At the moment, there's a clip from L.A, but the police vehicles at the start were White instead of the usual black/White scheme. Where are these units from? (The program just stated L.A and the clip is from 2004 - If that makes a difference).

I would never joined the Armed Forces - our family doesn't have a very good history when it comes to wars and we tend to end up dead (although I would be the same as Ami and maybe join the air force, but I would only fly helicopters - too scared to be in control of planes) I have a friend in the Armed Forces, he loves it. Says it's a lot of work, obviously, but better than schoool anyday and everything has a purpose. He's hoping to join the SAS too, which would be interesting. Not quite sure how well he'll cope, but you'll never know

By the way, what age is "Adult" to Americans? With the laughing smiley and the picture, I thought it would've been obvious it was a joke and not serious - I guess you need to know the guy to get it
-
No, I think Taylor is referring to how you constantly go on about how cops go on power trips, have something against everybody and that it's not just a few, it's ALL COPS. He's saying you do find good cases for abusive cops, but that's just very few compared to the rest of the police forces which do good work. To add to the thread http://weinterrupt.com/2009/08/man-dives-i...e-nagging-wife/ Man jumps in river to escape his wife's nagging. Now that's either some really bad nagging, or really stupid

Any pictures of you getting absolutly hammered at the pub?

It is not a game, it is to teach you to kill, to enjoy killing. - It’s a murder simulator
-
Don't have that issue in Britain - PEGI and BBFC only go to 18+ Even better, there's a legal loophole that allows minors to buy adult games that'll be open for just under 3 months Don't know what's wrong though. Interesting question though. Really depends on what age you consider to be "adult".

Soda - All alcohol tastes horrible.

Probably better than ArmA: 2 though.

The only place I can find selling it is Amazon.de. But Söldner - Marine Corps is an addon, so you need Söldner - secret wars too. Any north Americans looking for the game need to watch out for "Semper Fidelis: Marine Corps" as that's it's new name or get it from amazon.

I like the big, chunky ones police used to use before they swapped over for the ones Randomperson posted. these

Judging by the mini map, the new L.A map is gonna be great Don't you need a medic on scene before you are able to transport a victim? A terror suspect is being transported from the police station across town. The convoy moves through a junction blocked off by patrol units. I forgot how much slower the prison transport van was and the two units in front quickly outpaced it lol The grey unmarked police vehicle in the pictures is the LAPD slicktop. I was considering giving it a battenburg pattern and making it marked, but we don't have slicktops.
