  1. fix'd That sounds....borin to be honest. Well all the battles and reforms to countries would be interesting. RHCP = Red Hot Chili Peppers? They're ok, only like a few of their songs (police helicopter and out in L.A) Anyone do anything interesting at the weekend?
  2. Randy Newman - You've got a friend in me Toy Story is so epic
  3. It was originally a call requiring police - forgot exactly what. But I was upset about a couple of things, so I caused a build up of a crowd then shot them. Forgot to mention that I tried fixing the traffic after the shooting and it's impossible Cars began backing up off the map, which meant they wouldn't go. Out of the 10-15 blocked roads, I cleared 2 LOL
  4. Yay, time to spend more money on this game This is gonna be rubbish: Egypt might be good, most likely comical. France will be boring, probably similar to apartment life but with European buildings and the Eiffel tower. China will just be like Japan in that Sims 2 expansion pack - which was rather boring. (only got it for the dresses). This is only going to be worth it for Egypt. Even then, it's only going to be good for about 10-20 minutes then get boring. EA need to make better expansions, like the "makin' magic" for Sims 1 - That was the best. Animated gnomes anyone?
  5. 19 SHOT AS L.A BREAKS DOWN 8 Killed, 11 Wounded as National Guard are called in Central Los Angeles ground to a halt yesterday as power generators failed and traffic lights failed. The faults were believed to be related to the level of services dropping drastically due to the ever increasing debt of the state. Police tried in vain to redirect traffic away from badly affected areas and choke points. Most of their efforts were in vain and small accidents began to appear everywhere. It was estimated that the average person in a vehicle in an affected area would takeover 10 hours to successfully leave the area, and it would take a afurther 2 days for the traffic flow to come under control. People in the district began a protest near one of the power stations, demanding a solution to the energy crisis and an end to the overuse of natural gases. A small number of police vhicles arrived on scene and arrested the leader of the group, Mike Newfound - A man wanted by police in connection to the arson blaze of the BP storage center last week. Police easily extracted Mr.Newfound from the crowd. After a brief talking to, police loaded him into the back of a waiting police van. However, crowds began to turn violent as rocks and other projectiles were thrown at the officers. The police vehicles were badly damaged as officers seeked shelter in the police van and waited for SWAT teams to arrive. Despite firing dozens of tear gas canisters and almost emptying their water tanks, SWAT teams were unable to move to group more than 30 feet down the road. SWAT and police secured a perimeter and could only look on helpless as protesters smashed cars, shop windows and even burn down an office belonging to Transgas. Eventually the govenor declared a state of emergency in the area and national guard units were called in. A row of soldiers armed with M16 rifles confronted the protesters. Protesters were ordered to leave the immediate area. Most of the protesters did, but over 50 still remained. Before dawnbreak, a projectile was thrown from the crowd and hit a soldier in the face. The projectile is believed to have been a glass bottle possibly containing acid or a similar chemical. The scene of the soldier being carried away in agony was enough to spur on the crowd, who started damaging property again. At this point, the soldiers were ordered to open fire, in which they complied. In the 13 seconds of firing, 67 rounds were fired and cut down 19 people. The gun fire on the civilian targets scared away the remaining protesters, who claim National Guardsmen continued to fire rounds at them - However, this report has not yet been clarified. Among those shot, were 3 children, 2 eldery people, and the remaining 14 were students. Reports have confirmed that among the 8 dead, 2 are children. It is believed that the children were not part of the protesting group and were actually passer-bys. Medical teams were overwhelmed by the amount of casaulties along with those injured on the roadways. It took the first fire engine and ambulance 6 minutes to arrive from the fire station 3 blocks away. The images of people lying in the streets bleeding has caused widespread shock and condemnation of the tactics used by the authorities. The actions have raised more tensions and reopened rifts in communites throughout California. It is expected that more violent rioting and demostrations will take place in the following month. Notes: - I'd been so busy setting up a scene and a permiter that I never realised the huge traffic jam that was taking place. What has happened is that redirected cars go into the right lane (the road at at the bottom of the screen) and then try to turn left, causing jams. And I have no idea what that white van is doing at the left exit of the junction - I don't like the screen capture of the second image, but it was the only angle I could take without revealing that National Guard were already present (I'd been playing it thorugh my head before taking the pictures) -I have no idea how those two cars got stuck in my scene and I didn't see them earlier. -I counted the people shot. It is infact 19 - When I said it took 6 minutes for medics to get to the scene from 3 blocks away, I wasn't joking - That's how long it actually took in real minutes because of the traffic. - I ran out of money to transport patients, so I had to send away the police and National Guards, then fill up the MCU and send that away before I could order a new one. - I got the idea of doing this from the opening scene of watchmen, where the girl puts a flower in the soldiers rifle, who then open fire. The 13 seconds/ 67 shots is based off of the Kent State Shootings, which also gave me the idea.
  6. Just got a text from my friend - He's made it into the army and is now training harder to prepare to join the SAS What are you doing in history? So you're the new John Lennon... Who's the new Mark Chapman Wasn't America borrowing money from other countries before? How would this ruin the USA?

    air balloon

Well, seeing as they had an eye-witness report of the child in the baloon, and that he was hiding in a box, that probably wasn't their first priority. The most likely just checked rooms and large spaces like cupboards - not spend time searching through boxes.
  8. These must be the most two popular men in America: You have to love the muppets.

    air balloon

It's being investigated as to wether or not it was a hoax. Well this is interesting.
  10. Yes, I know, but I thought the rule applied to all armed forces / tactical units carrying the US flag patch.
  11. We're so badass that we don't need videos We don't really have special police though do we? Apart from K9 and armed response, we mainly use normal police. "special" would be SAS. Shouldn't the U.S flag be facing the other way? Or is that just for the army?
  12. I remember this thread Tis a good show.

The boy's been found. He was hiding at his home in the attic apparently.
  14. I love night cops Officer: "I'm arresting you under section 5 of the public order act" *girlfriend steps in* "what do you think you are doing?" Officer: "SHUT IT YOU!" Why is Welsh such a strange language? In countries like Britain, France, Germany and perhaps Italy, you can work out most words or make a well educated guess. But Welsh isn't close to any language on this planet. "Pergyl - ochrau dibyn" - Danger cliff edges "Dim nofio ger y creigau" - No swimming near the cliff Even better: "gwasanaethau" means Motorway services, and "Araf" means slow... Conclusion: The Welsh were brought here by aliens and are secretly living among us
  15. Just a note to MAN007 and anyone else who added me on PSN: I just moved to a new room and my PS3 hasn't joined me yet, so I havn't been on - I'm not ignoring anyone The driving test in Midnight club feels really hard. What is it, wreck 250 cars? That's going to take time. The "win 20 consecutive races" feels impossible. - I got to 14 too But apparently you can do it out of career mode which is what I'm doing - just need a better car (the Camaro looks good, but it drifts too much lol). Decided that I will look for an iconic or famous paint scheme for every car that I own, which is a bit hard if it's after the 90's. But my Camaro now looks like this: Best car in the game EDIT: edit's don't bump do they? EDIT: No, they don't

    flight sim2004

This was probably the best flight sim in my opinion. I liked the user interface more than in FSX. Don't know why but I can't fly helicopters in 2004, but can in any other one.
  17. I like it how the dog bites him again as the kid rolls off the couch
  18. Oh! Start a smear campaign against the boyfriend.. Or maybe not - That would be mean. Complaint 1: I can't get a good radio reception. Complaint 2: I'm such a twit I should be shot <insert angry remote here cause ipod's crap for getting emotes> Anyone know how to improve radio signals? The ariel does nothing and going up or down in the frequency range makes it worse. EDIT: Fixed it. Moved it closer to my bed and now it magically works - A few feet really makes a difference
  19. Hunter42 Can't remember if there's a space in the name or not.
  20. *Bot2:Cool, how is so bored going for you? Can't sleep - spider's gonna get me EDIT: I keep laughing at others misfortune and discomfort - gonna get beaten up or banned LOL... I'm not a very nice person apparently.
  21. The game is meh....ok I guess. I love daytime driving and the brilliant map screen. I'm also glad they kept in things like rage and two wheel driving - really fun on the freeway Pulling away from cops is awesome too. It's such a cool idea. Customising cars is cool, especially if you make them into iconic cars Few things ruin it for me though: 1) A lot of the races are extremly difficult - you tend to finish only by the skin of your teeth. And the power ups are useless. 2) "Three L.A cruisers on my tail! Let's up the game!....Oh, where'd they go?" I did a test and found police can't keep up if you go over 90m.p.h This is a big letdown. 3) Sometimes all you want to do is cruise around L.A and look at the pretty sights. But that always gets interrupts by phone requests to race or remind you to do missions. It's annoying. Currently working towards completing my license to get the Audi. Might buy a set of car pack from PSN - need to be careful as one gas the Audi in it. I have to admire the game's difficulty when you start financially wise. I really had to work hard to pay for car custmposiation and better rides.
  22. I like the brass version of "hey baby" that you guys are playing. It sounds good Don't be stupid. Since when was school productive? They could be in the mines or factories contributing to society instead. ...The what?
  23. That's very true, but in Britain, we have the same/ very similar lightbars to the ones on that cruiser.
