I believe that's one of the few changes I've made to any LA model files. That and a new steel-rim texture for the CVPIs. This is why I added the model folder as standard for each update.

I've gone ahead and fixed the issue, and the fix will appear in an update coming out soon. Thanks for noticing that.

Los Angeles Mod Vehicle Set [STOPPED]
EM4life replied to itchboy's topic in Mod Development and Concepts
Itchboy, are you on a mod team? I'm sure someone would love it if you made vehicles for them. You're far too good to just be pumping out new cars willy-nilly like. -
First, thanks for the approval. I always aim to make creations worth using. Second, I do believe that most, if not all units, have some form of radiation. If you think I can improve I ask you to suggest specific changes or general concepts to consider to make it easier for me and better for you. Third, I'd be willing to help lighting any way I can. I'm always looking for something to do and stay sharp. Thanks.

Hearing this makes me think a great deal will be replaced (upgraded), which is better in the long run in order to add greater variety and technical ability. I've always liked, and had high hopes for, this mod for those reasons. Thanks for your continued work, guys, we all appreciate it.

Happy to see the community getting together to play the game we all mod and enjoy. We should have done this a long time ago! Here's to future multiplayer memories.

No, they won't. Those are Nnico's Crown Vics as well as they have different models for some cars.

So, it's been a while. But here I am, and I brought a gift... E4LM: LA v2.0 It's back, and it's better than last time. (I made sure) Since I've switched almost completely over to the new coronas, I've updated the submod with the new lights and enhanced all of the units. Also, I'm using Mega to host as the in-house downloader isn't always very fast...and I'm not talking about download speed. I understand that most people have moved on, and that's expected, but if you were still waiting... Here's a thing. Change log: - Re-light for all LAFD units (fire and paramedic) - All lights display in similar style- New patterns- New textures- Fixed Bugs DOWNLOAD: EM-Planet download: http://forum.emergency-planet.com/files/file/547-e4lm-la/ Mega download: https://mega.co.nz/#!ONBAVKxB!TY2QKaKrQBxa7wJ7lH8bsJ-oOBITk_l7jDsdmEbYuAU

Something is coming... ...version 2.0.

Good things come to those who wait. (Shut up about dates while we work.)

Here's some pictures I've taken using the mod.

Since we've been shown the tower ladder, would it be possible for you to release only updated units sooner and hold off on the "super secret" stuff?
-
I don't have many newer FDNY apparatus, nor a way to get newer models. NYPD is easier because it's mainly light bars and skins.

Released: Version 2.0 (The New Look) It's here! Finally! The update we've all been waiting for! (Obviously) This update brings E4LM: NYC up to par with the LA version, redesigning how lights should look. Using a new corona and new lighting technique, lights look better than ever! LEDs look more realistic, lights are brighter, and patterns are more colorful. If you like the more recently released mods and submods with newer styles of lights, you'll love these! (Please, read the READ-ME, installation steps have changed.) Change Log: -ALL units received new, better lights -Many units & skins were updated, making them more realistic-New units; such as NYPD Traffic van-Bug fixes Download: EM-Planet download: http://forum.emergency-planet.com/index.php?/files/file/527-e4lm-nyc/ Mega download: https://mega.co.nz/#!nZI03DgC!N5RPmH6_qH66cnU3SJgb4m49v0sYDiVb50wDMkcOfFM Gameplay video coming soon!

Version 1.4.5 (The FDNY Update) released! Change log: -Rescue 1 texture update-Ladder 26 redesign, LED package-Engine 23 is now Engine 58 (E58 is housed with L26)-EMS Ambulance light update The FDNY focused update is here, to help make the aging units look a little better. I'm trying to get a hold of newer models for the FDNY, to modernize the fleet. Hopefully, by the next update, newer units will be introduced. I hope you guys enjoy the changes, mostly aesthetic aside from Ladder 26. Let me know your opinion on the update! Download: EM-Planet download: http://forum.emergency-planet.com/index.php?/files/file/527-e4lm-nyc/ Mega download: https://mega.co.nz/#!mUoXyCRT!cQFVtxWP_GP1bXesEQu1lk-P3Odwd3Ur8yH06AGAHD0 New video coming soon!

Well, I'm sorry to say, the download for the new version is still not available yet. To alleviate the stress, I've created a download on Mega for anyone who wants to to use instead of the downloads section here. I understand some may not want to venture outside the realm of the downloads section here but, unfortunately, the process for verifying files is much longer than I had hoped for. Sorry for the delay, and enjoy the update. Cheers. Download: https://mega.co.nz/#!2ZA0VSBB!cYquWWUI0osOxZthkLjkfCeLsMZVY4jKNGIqppQSkcY TL:DR: Sorry for delay, alternate download available.
-
Not much, I highly doubt hardly anyone uses all 20 or so unmarked units, let alone wants even more lights than absolutely necessary. I'll do some more in the future, but it's good enough for now. TL:DR They have decent lights already.
-
No, it's not approved yet. It could be 5 minutes or a couple days. The staff is slow as molasses as you know. (Just kidding, love you guys. <3)

Version 1.4.4 (The NYPD Update) released! Change log: -Both DCU (Disorder Control Unit) vans redesigned: new 2009 Ford E-Series Vans-A new 2006 CVPI replaces the old 2000 Impala-Main CVPI received a light update-ESU ESS (Pickup) new lightbar and newer LEDs-All PCT (Precinct) units received light updates: Code 3 and hazard lights At long last, an update! So, what have I been doing since the last update? Quite a bit, actually. With school out, I have much more time to work on the mod (between real work) as well as devote time to compete overhauls such as models and textures, not just lights. I took time to replace, remap, and relight vehicles using new techniques, patterns, and models available. Thanks to everyone still supporting the mod. Download: http://forum.emergency-planet.com/index.php?/files/file/527-e4lm-nyc/ Be on the lookout for 1.4.5 and a new video soon!

If you are in fact using 1.0.1, and installed it properly, there should be no white boxes. Make sure you installed the two coronas into the EM4/911FirstResponders folder, NOT the "mods" folder.Separate link just for coronas: http://forum.emergen...-2-new-coronas/
-
Yep, thanks NFK. I just wished things had gone more smoothly in the first round. P.S. I'll ship you some Bud Light, you know, the good stuff.
-
Well, I goofed. I didn't remember it, but Coronas Red 5 and Orange 5 must be downloaded. Here it is: http://forum.emergen...-2-new-coronas/ I'll release v1.0.1 with a fix ASAP. Again, major apologizes. News: A new update (v1.0.1) has been uploaded but is awaiting approval. As soon as it's up, please re-download it to fix the problem. Again, I am very sorry for all of the confusion and the error in general. I hope you can forgive me and enjoy the submod once it's back up and bug free.
