  4. Hello! I was just wondering, because I like the mod but I always like to go scripting and optimize it for myself, is there a patch coming anytime soon, if not I'm going to script some stuff to my wishes. Thanks in advance. Kind Regards, Niels / Maffegozer.
  5. Mod leaders should be able to model themselves. Tell me, what have you done for the mod? Not that much is it? It's not a surprise to me that the mod went dead. First try making a vehicle. If that goes, try skinning it, uv mapping etc... Then put it ingame. If you manage to do that, try some editor work. Then try again... Getting enough experience to create a mod atleasts takes a few months.
  6. Good luck. But, do realise what you are getting into. Tho, I keep having this thought: A mod leader should atleast be possible to create models. Skin/UV-map them and put them ingame...

  8. Uhm, not to be irritating or something but... You say you have no experience at all with creating mods. So how are you going to make the most complicated thing EVER! It would be easier to create a whole new game! Think of it, you'll have to create: New vehicles (No problem), New buildings (No problem), New persons... Now that last one is a problem! Try to open a emergency 4 person in a modeling program... Good luck creating something similar... Other things; New map (Not a problem), New animations (Not a problem), New scripts... Now here you got a small problem! You can't use the standard move and get scripts. This because you got new animations. You'll have to change or recreate these scripts... Now a normal mod which is released in about 2 years contains only: -New vehicles -New map -New scripts -New buildings (Sometimes.) That is by very experienced people. You say you have no experience, so good luck creating this mod. For experienced people it would take years... For you... I think a decade or more. Regards, Niels.
  9. Hmm, I kinda solved the problem. Instead of DUMMY_CALLCREW, i mistyped and has DUMMY,CALLCREW Fixed. Lock this.
  10. Hmm, I edited the script on my other computer (just as I did with the map). So I don't got the file here now, but I will post it when I get on my other pc.
  11. Hello, I started editing the LA mod, and the first thing I did was add a VO called 'fsx_usar'. I added the following lines to the firestationstart.script: const char VO_USAR2[] = "fsx_usar"; and a bit further.... ActorList l19 = Game::GetActors(VO_USAR2); for(int i=0; i < l19.GetNumActors(); i++) { Vector Usar2 = l19.GetActor(0)->GetPosition(); Vehicle m = Game::CreateVehicle(OBJ_USAR, UNNAMED); m.EnableBlueLights(false); m.SetPosition(Usar2); m.UpdatePlacement(); m.SetMaxPassengers(4); m.SetSpeed(9.0f); m.PushActionExecuteCommand(ACTION_NEWLIST, DUMMY_CALLCREW, Caller, 6, false); m.PushActionWait(ACTION_APPEND, 0.5f); m.PushActionExecuteCommand(ACTION_APPEND, DUMMY_CALLCREW, Caller, 6, false); } I get the error (don't know it exactly): "Undefined DUMMY in current scope" (or something like that.) When I press ignore, the vehicle is where I placed it, but no crew goes in it... This is obviously because of the error. Anybody?

  13. I'm at my 3rd mission (every week has a new mission) It's a nice game but it does get boring after a while. The fastest speed isn't that fast and it can take while till something happens. I still only got these 3 crimes: Stabbing, Robbery and Homicide. If I had to rate this game: Gameplay: 6 Graphics: 6 Variation: 4 Overall: 5.3
  14. lol. I meant that I expected it to be released this week. This is not stated by the Berlin Mod Team. It is not said by them that it will be released this week. What is officially stated by them is that it will be released in Q1 of 2011.

  17. Well good news. Today I downloaded SQL Server 2008 trial. And got a server running now which i am connected to. So now I can start working on my database
  18. yep... If you think mw2 is too expensive... Well it is... Just download it... Not giving any information of where or such because it's illegal.
  19. Long time since respond. Was a little busy. I now got an error: Obviously I need to reconfigure the SQL server. Any tips of what program to use? -Microsoft SQL Server (expensive) - ??
  20. epic failzor. But uh, MW2 sucks. Call of Duty 4 has great graphics (for the time it was released), Great multiplayer, Balanced Weapons. Great multiplayer in comparison with MW2. (Good points of cod4) -No lag -Dedicated Servers -Balanced Weapons -Nice maps (Tho MW2 has nice maps too.) -Able to run mods without being banned. 'Cause it's allowed. MW2 low points: -LAG -Host system sucks. It doesn't look at who has the best internet connection. It's just... baaaaad. -Weapons inbalanced.
