Alright when I get around to it I'll put them in my game. And if anyone else is having problems with them let me know. I'll attempt to get them working tomorrow if I have time.

I just make mine the 30seconds of shorter. You'd have to ask hoppah or another mod maker how you change the length but I'd assume that its scripted somewhere. I wish I knew how to change it to multiple tones, One for EMS calls and one for fire calls specially for the FDNY one so you don't have to hear the whole station tone every time you call out personnel. So if anyone knows how to do that and can pm me with instructions I could change that up, if its even possible? I'll look for some but if you could find some and send them to me that'd be alot easier. And I'll edit them and get them set up for you.

I know what your saying. You want pager tones, I have to listen to them all the time bc I am a firefighter and they are annoying haha. But if I come across any I'll see what I can do for ya but idk where to come across those because on scanamerica.us and all you can't record the live feed you can only listen and the countys have all the rights to those incidents so I dont think its legal to use them and release them, maybe for personal use but idk about releasing them. ps: so you've tried it ingame and there are no problems?

Excellent idea, that way I don't have to send it to everyones email. incase you don't know where to put it its, C:\Program Files\sixteen tons entertainment\Emergency 4\Mods\Los Angeles Mod v1.8\Audio\Fx\misc or whatever drive you have it on, just replace the old fire_alarm.wav with the downloaded one and it should work fine. Let me know if there are any problems though because I haven't tested it in game I just slapped it together. NEW FILE ON NEXT PAGE! GIVE ME FEEDBACK IF IT WORKS NOW OR NOT.

I couldn't agree more and like I said skinning IS a form of modding. Once he downloads something he has every right to do whatever he wants to it because it is in HIS pocession and he can do whatever he wants for personal use. And nowhere did I read that he said this is HIS mod hes just taking credit for the reskins which he can because they are his, he took the time and effort to reskin them which isn't as easy as people make it out to be if you wanna get every little detail. He is giving credit where credit is due and not taking any responsibility for making the cars just the skins so let him do what he wants, people like their own variations of things.

Not to bring that back up, but... NFS as in Need For Speed? Because if thats the case they aren't your cars anyway they're EA's cars. and as for that, everyone is giving credit where credit is do to the LA Mod Team, no one is out there saying they made the models just the skins, and skinning is still a mod, because you have to change/modify the skin to reskin so therefore it IS a mod hence you have to MODIFY the old skin into a new skin, yea its not the hardest mod to do but its not the easiest either and everyone has to start somewhere.

I use a house siren as my tone because thats what we use around here being volunteer we dont have station tones in out station just on our pagers.

i just made an fdny tone that starts with a tone then says "Engine, Ladder, Battalion, Division, Acting Engine, Acting Ladder, Special Unit" and ends with a tone. If anyone is Interested PM me and let me know.

same with me because changing a sound file is like 3 seconds of editing the length and then you just replace the original. You get me the tones and send them to me and I'll make them the length for the game and all so they work for you.(pm me with questions and if you're gonna send me the tones pm me for my email.)

I already have the dds plugin and i've opened dds files with photoshop before but they just dont wanna work for this game and before people start asking yes i've unpacked them and still no results i get an error everytime. If you wanna help tho don't use this post, I've made a post called "Skinning With Photoshop" in the Modding And Mod Help section.

Oh definitely some skinning is really easy it all about how much detail you want and how much you want it to look like the REAL thing, thats what takes forever is getting every little detail right to make it look just like the real thing. It takes alot of patients to get everything just right. I'm not saying its as hard as modeling because I can't model if my life depended on it haha but skinning still isn't the easiest thing in the world to do like some people are saying.

I beg to differ on that, I've skinned for a bunch of games and some of them were near impossible to skin. And to get everything lined up right and everything takes some work. I wish I could get photoshop to work with dds files so I can see how the skinning process is on here so I can make my own variations.

Yea the government doesn't really do alot for volunteers unless you apply for a grant and then actually get the grant. We are always doing fund raisers for more money so we can do repairs because your chances of getting a grant are slim to none being that every volunteer company in the country is applying for them, specially with money the way it is now.

The ambulance at our company doesn't get paid through us, they are a differnt service but are housed at our company and it is staffed 24/7. If they got paid through us and part of our company then we wouldn't be 100% volunteer company but since they are only housed at our company then we are still volunteer. I don't know anyone that would want to be a volunteer paramedic on an ambulance because I'm thinking about being a paramedic and its way to much work to not get paid for it.

Never had to unlock/unpack a file for skinning before. I use to be a really good skinner but idk if I still have it in me haha and thats why I wanna try it out for this game. I just read how to unlock them so lets hope that solves my problem if not then I'll try what GB619 said even though I tried dds convertors for other games and they seem to hate me. I have Photoshop CS3 and I select "Load Using Default Sizes". But then I get an error box that says "Could not complete your request because the file-format could not parse the file". Any idea why I'm getting the error or any way to fix it?

I know this I've stated I'm a volunteer firefighter and we have an ALS Ambulance at our station. I don't think anyone gets what I am asking... VOLUNTEER(as in doesn't get paid) is there any ambulances companies with paramedics that are an all VOLUNTEER company meaning that the paramedics and emts don't get paid at all.

Oh I know I wasn't saying anything about that, I am a volunteer firefighter and we have a few fires that get a really good start on us. What my question was, is there any volunteer amublances because you stated about the persons being hurt. I think he was just talking about a basic bls fire company being volunteer which would be a great idea as long as you could slow down the rate that the fire spreads in the game but idk if thats possible or not?

Is there such thing as a volunteer ambulance anywhere in the world? And the volunteer fire company idea would be awesome if there was a way to slow down the speed of the fire but other than that it wouldn't be fun at all because you'll have a whole block on fire kinda like where I live because we're all volunteers here and its all row homes which sucks but luckily we have a fast response or this town would be burn to the ground.

what is the default settings for e4_maxcampitch, e4_maxcamz, e4_mincampitch, e4_mincamz in the em4.cfg. I changed them and forgot to back it up and I want if back to normal bc it doesnt work too good with w00ds freeplay map.
