Turn down all the settings in the game. Emergency 3 should be playable on that system. Although 1,83 Ghz isn't much. Emergency 3 is on the same graphic engine as Emergency 4, but most LA Mod vehicles are made in a different way than in Emergency 4. By compiling objects together and making parts of the object invisible (alpha layer) we were able to create new vehicles before it was possible to use 3D-modelling software for the games. Side effect, vehicles could easily reach 10.000 polygons. That's what causes the lag probably. Best solution, ask your dad to buy a new pc.

The original equipment pieces have ID's, not the new LA Mod equipment which are completely based on scripts and objects. Make sure to check your sources next time, Newfoundking.

Even the manual says the helicopter has the spikestrip as equipment. I wonder what your definition of 'bug' is. Software bugs are always unintentional faults, errors or flaws. Officers falling from the roof of the PD station can be defined as a bug, because they're not supposed to do that. But I didn't even add a code to prevent officers from doing that. Just don't click the command, because it's a very minor issue. There are dozens of things like that in game/mod.

I've released a second patch. It should fix the following bugs: - Problems with deploying bulldozer in missions with the transaid plane. - Command 'Sirens' is missing icon for the cursor. - USAR and HAZMAT Squad can be sent into fire station with light mast raised. - HAZMAT Squad gives error messages when it's sent to fire station with civilians inside. - FBI Mobile Command Vehicle doesn't heal people who've entered the vehicle anymore. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Patch 2 (hotfixes) Download the following package: LA Mod v1.8 patch 2 Size: 29,8 k How to install: 1. The server with our downloads is located in Germany. Alaska is like on the other side of the world, so it's possible that you can't download really fast when you live on the American continent. I just checked it, and I can still download it at full speed (main server) here. If you're getting corrupt files, clean your temperary internet files (and cookies). Hoppah I can't seem to replicate your first problem. The Empty Car command works as it should be in the VIP Escort mission. Did that problem occur after a certain event in that mission? Where you able to replicate it? As for the bulldozer problem, I just tested it and you're right. I am pretty certain it has to do with the transaid menu you get in the beginning. The bulldozer does work in freeplay and the other missions (without the transaid plane).

Right now, I don't have much time to respond to all the bugs because of personal issues, but I've checked the possible HAZMAT bug reported by AFEM and there is a small mistake in the script. When you press the 'Go to fire station' command while there is a civilian inside, the game thinks it's an ambulance which should go to the hospital. Although I've never seen the problem with civilians not coming out of the truck after decontamination. That shouldn't happen. Is the command greyed out or does nothing happen when you press it? That should work in (Deluxe) freeplay, but I will check it out. I am almost certain it should work though. There are a few known problems with the wye after trying to pick it up. A floating hose with nozzle remains and you can't do anything with it. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to fix it. This problem shouldn't occur everytime you try to pick it up, it happens maybe 1 out of 15 times. It also seems to happen randomly.Hoppah

The multiplayer map does not include the stations. It IS possible to rename the map so it replaces the current freeplay map, but you need to do much to disable the scripts which activate the stations. I don't know what happens if you use the multiplayer map as freeplay map without the stations.

w00d has permission to do map changes. That doesn't mean he has permission to change the whole layout of the station or even the models of them. -
We're not really bashing people. We're just turning the majority of the posted suggestions down. Why? Because we have several reasons for almost every suggestion to not add it to the mod. If you read the first and second post of this topic you'll see a lot of suggestions which simply can't be realized. MikeyPI might be a bit harsh sometimes, but he did respond to almost every suggestion. Instead of simple saying 'no', he actually posted the reasons as well. As some of you know, I don't work 24/7 on the mod, so I am NOT going to spend my time on things that need to be added just because they're COOL. And: If you all wait a few weeks, I am going to post a nice surprise.

They were supposed to be commands for the convoy in the 'VIP Escort' mission. To speed up or slow down the speed of the convoy vehicles. I couldn't make it work perfectly (in combination with the events), so I decided not to add the commands, but I forgot to delete the icons. Will test it.

Not going to erase cars. Yes, they make the mod bigger and add more files to the mod. But they shouldn't cause lag or framedrops. Someone told me my mod loads much faster than the Winterberg mod, probably because almost all textures have been packed and compressed. Most people won't like it if I delete a couple of CV's. The Ford Crown Victoria is still the most common pd car in LA, so I am not going to change the CallPatrolCar script. Use the CallPatrolCar command in combinations with the battalion chief or the ems captain to spawn a LAPD Dodge Charger. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to create submods for these small changes. Hoppah

If you guys did post your logfiles I could fix the error in 10 seconds! I checked the script several times for errors and couldn't find any. Then I played freeplay and didn't get a crash for a long time until I found out that the game crashes when you try to park a 4th patrol car in front of the police station. Unless you HATE WW2 or modern warfare, everyone should enjoy multiplayer of both games. COD5 is EXACTLY the same as COD4, just a different theme. The campaign of COD5 is just worse.

Unfortunately, I don't have time to support the EM3 version of the mod anymore. I suggest you all move to Emergency 4. The Emergency 3 version is very basic in functions and has quite some bugs.

You're allowed to make personal changes. Search the forum for either 'unpack dds' or 'unlock dds'. Good luck.

Can you post a screenshot showing the same menu (fire department vehicles) as I did? edit: posts moved. This belongs in the bug report section.

Does it matter? The patrolcars have all a different number on their roofs which probably don't exist in real life (100, 101, 102, 103, 104 etc...). Reason I made the older USAR squad (with the white cabin) is that the newer USAR squads look too much like the HAZMAT squad. What we have now makes both vehicles easily identifiable + the variation. I have no intentions to add another USAR squad. Makes the mod even more confusing for new players.
