Were you able to load the mod using the desktop shortcut? (installer gives an option to install a shortcut) Even if you are using Vista 64bit you should give it a try.
-
People actually wanted the roads FULL of traffic. This is what happens when there is a little bit more traffic compared to the older maps. It works fine as long you keep checking the roads for blocking objects including your own emergency vehicles. Hoppah

Ok, try this: 1. Remove all Los Angeles mod versions from the Mods folder. 2. Reinstall v1.9. Not sure if it helps though.
-
When you right click the folder and go to the properties: Does the LA mod folder contain more than 3800 files in at least 280 folders? If not, you HAVE TO reinstall the mod because something went wrong during the first time.
-
You can also remove v1.8 folder and any other older version you have. Each LA mod version I release is standalone and does not require an older version.
-
Did you install it? If yes, how? Make sure to check your Mods folder and see if 'Los Angeles Mod v1.9' is present. If not, you selected the wrong installation directory. If you get a 'Could not find a valid game' error, the game can not automatically find your EM4 or 911:FR directory, so you need to select the game directory yourself. It's NOT hard if you read closely. The installation directory window clearly says it needs to point to your game directory. Hoppah

Burning trailer of the tiller will be fixed. As well as SOME of the choking points. I added traffic lights to 3 intersections. Unfortunately, I can't do much about the patrolling vehicles. They ignore traffic lights and will collide with oncoming traffic. I don't know about the static water though. Hoppah

Nothing better than waking up at 9 am and finding out there is a long list of bugs to be fixed.

I followed the server status for a couple of hours after the release of v1.9. Some stats: - v1.8.1 was downloaded more than 32.000 times in 4 months (v1.8.1 was released in May 2009) - The servers crashed within 20 minutes after release of v1.9. - At the peak, 450 people were trying to access our servers PER SECOND (not necessarely downloading the mod btw). - The mod has been downloaded more than 1000 times within the first 12 hours. - That's (1000 x 150 mb) = 150.000 mb or 146 gb traffic. - Server capacity exceeded 124%. The tiller requires map and script changes to make it work, so I can't help you. Just get v1.9.
-
Unfortunately, I cannot check that out myself. Can you start the editor, load the mod, then the map and see if you can find a few of these missing vehicles? (they get replaced by that 'missing object' box). If you do, make a screenshot of that and post it here. Then I can load the map myself and can find out what vehicle is missing.

You will get that message when the installer DOES NOT find the registry keys of EM4 or 911:FR. Without these registry keys the installer can't find the installation directory itself. You can still click OK to install the mod. Make sure you select the correct installation directory yourself now. That message can appear when you have an illegal version of the mod which installs the game in an alternative way. That's why: Vehicles in this game do not have any AI (artificial intelligence). They just follow paths and stop sometimes. In my opinion there is even too much traffic on the new map.

Look closer, it's there. The command has the same icon as the Follow command of the police helicopter. Will be fixed in a patch today. It's not a bug, but I forgot to add the icons on the mini map. The FBI vehicles should be available in multiplayer now. You just need to buy them yet (the big + button). I'm aware of the chase command bug, a similar thing happens to a few other commands. Fixing the multiplayer bugs is not really high on my to-do list now. Thanks for mentioning them though. I have mentiond the tiller bugs a couple of times before the release of v1.9. It's one of the many reasons I didn't want to make a tiller in the first place. I can't fix that, but did add all known tiller issues to the first post. You need to adjust the script to spawn the trailer as well and attach it to the tiller. Did the bug with aerial ladder (the tower) happened more than once? You need to adjust the start script to spawn a tiller and attach it to the trailer. Will (probably) be fixed in a patch. Please take some pictures of the points where they get stuck, but I might take a look at the physics of the vans. It's not static here. I just checked it. Do you have 911:FR and do more people have this problem? I think it's a 911:FR related problem. I will release a patch today which fixes most of the bugs mentioned above. Hoppah

It also looks for the directory of 911:First Responders. That has been tested and should work. It finds the directory, by searching for the registry keys. When you don't have these registry keys, the game can't find your 911:FR directory. You can still select your EM4/911:FR directory yourself though. Will release a fix for the cinema (it's a cinema, not a stadium) later today.

I have just released Los Angeles Mod v1.9 and I'd like to know what your thoughts are about a couple of things. I want to start a discussion about the following things: - What are your thoughts about the new installer? - What are your thoughts about the new freeplay map? - What do you like/hate about the new freeplay map? I have plans to improve the new freeplaymap by adding new buildings and other objects. I can't do that without other peoples feedback. Personally I think the new installer is a great improvement, because it has a better compression rate (size of the .exe file) than .e4mod files and the optional choices what was the main reason to release v1.9 as an .exe file. My least favorite area/district on the new map is the industrial area between the LA river and the port area. My favorite part is the parking lot at the stripmall, bank and Wal-Mart. There are also about 8 easter-eggs on the map. When you think you have found one you can post that here as well. Hoppah

No modding today. Already got hooked on the Forza Motorsport 3 demo.
-
Update: Added a USCG HH-65 Dolphin to the submod and Voodoo_Operator is reskinning that large ambulance to LAFD (the paint scheme).
-
Yes, I made the video. I still have the original videos on my computer. Stan uploaded the final video to youtube for me. Edit: You can find the post containing the information about the chase command here: http://forum.emergency-planet.com/index.ph...6964#entry96964

+ an aircraft carrier which already makes it a superpower because of its great mobility.
-
I know. Thanks for showing the pictures, but that's the exact same thing the German guy told me. I quoted this: In this post on the previous page. Haven't really tested it yet, but I suppose it works. Thanks again though.

The Netherlands is not even close to a superpower army with its small army. We have an obsolete airforce, which main force consist of about 30 AH-64 Apache's and 70 F-16's (30 years old) . Keeping them up-to-date is almost more expensive than replacing them. It's not really impressive. The government has plans to buy 85 F-35's which are going to replace the F-16's, but a final descision is still not made.

You both got a PM with more information. Hoppah
