This workbook has a few tools which should make it easier and faster to create animations. There are still things that need to be done manually though. Documentation which explains what to do is included. I can understand that, I just don't feel like adding another police vehicle like a supervisor's car.

In simple words, you still need to make the animations manually. But Excel offers features to make calculations between large amounts of data. Using VBA (Macro's) I made buttons to import and export .v3o files, Excel does the calculations and can export the new animation to a text file.

What OS are you using? Vista/Windows 7? Try checking the following folder: C:/Users/[Name]/Desktop/ If it really added the icon it should be visible in that folder too. If it's not there, something else happened. Maybe you installed the mod under a different user? I can't really look into your computer, so there is not much I can do.

This stinger? Or this sting grenade? The grenade in the LA Mod is more like a flashbang grenade btw. -
And, what do you think would be the purpose of this? You can't just import models from that game, because they are high-polygon and you are going to need to make new textures for each model. You sure you are not going to complain when Emergency 4 can't handle the high-polygon models? The Emergency 4 engine is not build for high-polygon models. It's also not possible to import persons from that game. All vehicles in GTA 4 are not even real existing vehicles. They are based on real vehicles, but a little different.

*Facepalm The US National Guard can be called up for active duty by its State Governors to help respond to domestic emergencies and disasters. The President can probably request it too, because the President is the highest official in the US and leads the federal government.

A supervisor does not request FBI, nor does he call for a specific vehicle make and type (wtf?), so the only useful new commands would be the 'Call bomb squad' and 'Call SWAT' commands. But because there is no SWAT station I don't think the commands would be that useful. You don't really need SWAT and bomb squad alot either. Why not add the governor so you can 'Call' the US National Guard too? Hoppah

I can happily announce I am working on a better animation tool. It's still in Excel, but has a few great improvements to make making animations much easier. That doesn't mean it's going to be easy though. More information later.

He was right. A second tiller would also require new prototype files. The scripts in the LA Mod are build for only one (tiller_cabin.e4p), so like I said it would require quite alot of changes to scripts to make a second playable tiller and you do need to change the LAFireStation script if you want to add a second tiller. It's not even a restriction, it's the way I made the scripts. I would advise the creators of the new cab to replace the current cab. Nothing have to be changed to the scripts then.

You think you're the only one studying? I had to write a report of almost 10.000 words in one week and I still have time to do some modding, going to work and going out. It's mostly dedication what is necessary to learn scripting. To answer your question. It cannot be done easily, because cars follow a path. It would require a script to change the path of the car. The problem is which path they need to go. You can tell them to go to the path on the other lane, but other problems WILL occur. These cars will get stuck in the cars which are already following the path on that lane. Take this picture for example. If you pretend the black Cadillac DTS is changing lanes it might get stuck in cars which are already driving on that lane.

Servers Can't Be Found In Multiplayer...

Maybe one of you forgot to load the mod before finding or creating a server. I have EM4 Deluxe and could play online with MikeyPI (has has 911:FR I think) without problems. I don't think the submods could interfere if you both install the exact same things, but you should try to make it work without the submods first. Routers can be a problem too. There are a dozen topics about that subject on the forum. -
