? Not a valid reason to blame v1.9, its installer or even me. When my videocard broke down last June, I was playing the game Empire Total War. It's easy to say that the game killed my videocard, but it was already starting to break down before that. It was a coincidence. Coincidences happen. It's theoratically impossible that v1.9 fucks up your game, as the installer does not do anything else besides copying files to a location (and making an icon on the desktop). It did not happen to other people also. I am not responsible for any harm done by the installer anyway, as stated in the TOS of our downloads and forum. It only seems some people have a hard time reading the instructions in the installer. I bet less than 10% actually read the License Agreement which was made by Mikey. I took the time to investigate the desktop icon, to find out why it doesn't work for some people (never found the exact reason though). I made a topic about that 6 months ago. I added the warnings to the installer that the desktop shortcut does not work on all systems and that it will freeze the game in a black window for a while. And what happens after the release of v1.9? People start reporting these same problems. That's just dumb. I spent hours in trying to fix that problem, I added the possibility to install the icon (because it's useful) including the warnings and that is what we I get. Hoppah

You need to edit the LAFireStationStart and the LAFireStation scripts to make it also work for the fire stations.

That might cause the problem, although I wouldn't know why. The Battalion Chief car is working fine here. Why don't people test the mod without ANY submod before posting problems at my door? It's even too hard to go into the details this time. Prototypes 1.9.1, like wtf.

You don't need the ModInstaller to install v1.9 at all.

What's there to script?

Does it always happen or only when you send the Battalion Chief car from a particular location on the map? And on which map does it happen, the new freeplay map? Or does it happen on all maps? Did you install any submod?

Make sure the Streets (that's how these paths are called in the editor) are all connected. When they are not all connected, they will turn red and that might cause problems.

Did you actually save the .zip on your computer?

The installer of v1.9 SHOULD work fine, but I might release LA Mod v1.9 + patch 3 as an .e4mod file (instead of an .exe) to see if that's working for these people.

The creator of that submod needs to add a few things to his map to make the trailer of the tiller spawn.

Good thing is, that computers usually can't 'die' of a virus. In the worst case, you are going to need to reinstall Windows. When something like that happens again, backupping files is your priority. Safe mode usually works fine when your pc is infected with a virus. What really sucks is a HDD crash.

The bug with the green car was already fixed in one of the patches.

Depends on the position of the objects on the map, so it has to do with both. Most of the objects are still from the original game, but I added them to the new map.

Clean your temporary internet files and redownload the submod. If that does not help, clean your cookies also. v1.0 does not have new features, just some bug fixes compared to v0.1b
