Why did they cancel the mod?

When modelling you usually model one side of the vehicle first. When done, you copy and mirror that part to get a perfectly symmetric vehicle in the end.

When and where did you post these suggestions? I can't remember if I have read them.

Doesn't mean it's not bugged. It's ok to post suggestions, but don't you think restarting the game is something I didn't already try while testing my own changes to the map? Em4fun might confuse this mission with the other mission ("Motorway bridge collapses!") which plays on the same map. The LAFD Boat Transporter works fine on that one. For the LA Mod mission I moved the loading stage point to a different location and something went wrong there. None of the patches for LA Mod v1.9 change something to that map, the boat transporter or its commands. Hoppah

Hi, As some of you know you cannot unload the boat from the LAFD Motorboat Transporter in mission 7 (Police chase ends in tragedy). I've been trying to fix this bug for ages and have not been able to fix it. It's driving me nuts. The one who can fix this might get a test version of the Los Angeles Mod v2.0. I can't promise anything though, but I'll see what I can do. The bug is that the LAFD Motorboat Transporter does not wants to unload its motorboat at the landing stage. It drives to the indicated loading point (also called a 'TFMB landing stage' in the editor) and just sits there. Screenshot: The bug is not related to scripts or the LAFD Motorboat Transporter as it works fine in other missions. It's definately the map file which is causing the problem. I've already made a few changes to the map myself. I tried to move virtual objects, change the terrain height, change the landing stage itself, but nothing seems to work. You can find the map of mission 7 with my changes in the attached .rar file. It might be useful if you want to give it a shot. In case you are not familiar with the TFMB landing stages, you can find the stage under 'Waiting points' in the editor. Hoppah

Never approved what? I didn't say the UN approved torturing or killing innocent civilians. It's funny that you keep hiding behind that convention and ignore the rest of my post.

It's a nice vehicle, but I doubt if it worth to spend days on moddeling it and its trailer. I don't think it would be that useful in the mod anyway.

No, wrong again. It's 9 out of 10 times when the UN approves to solve a conflict in another country by sending a peacekeepers force for example. Bringing arrested terrorists to camps is a direct result of that. Lets try to understand an example about one of the most destabilized countries in the world: http://allafrica.com/stories/200912040756.html Somalia, where a civil war is going on since 1991. Definately caused by rebels and a government who can't control the situation. What would be YOUR solution to the conflict? Sending another UN peacekeepers force? In your opinion they'd only kill innocent victims and torture terrorists. Or do you actually expect that any of the (neighbouring) Muslim countries will try to ever stablize the situation in that country by sending a force (again)? You and your Geneva Convention, it's all theoritical. Maybe you should try to read in in some of the recent conflicts in the world. There is NO country who can obey these treaties in a war. War is total chaos. War is never the best solution, it only costs human lives and alot of money. The Geneva Convention is great in theory, but it never works out like that in reality. That's something you don't seem to understand yet. Yes, it might be true that the US is violating human rights, I do not approve it either. But the situation in countries like Somalia is at least 10 times as worse compared to that. But you don't seem to care about that AT ALL. Your view regarding these subjects is very limited, based on nothing and sometimes even incorrect. Blaming the US is easy, because 'everyone' does that you do it too, but you don't have any knowledge about the impact of (civil) wars at all. Like usmc123 said, open your eyes and look beyond the hate. The world isn't a pretty place.

And again, you ARE ignorant as hell, because Nazi soldiers were not fascist assh*oles. Just like every soldier in the world, they did what they were told and teached by their leaders. And you can't really refuse to execute an order as a soldier. Your knowledge about these subjects is minimal. Even my sister can tell you more about the Nazi propaganda in 1930s and 1940s and basic military hierarchy. Are you familiar with the definition of indoctrination? You keep forgetting that each terrorist in Guantanamo Bay probably or might have commited many crimes against humanity before they were arrested and send to that camp. Why don't you mention that? Oh wait, you are blinded by your hate. I do not approve what might have happened in Guantanamo Bay, but you can't put terrorists next to shoplifters in the common prisons. If people should treat each other with respect then it are the extremists who should start with that. Is it really that hard to look beyond the treaties and try to understand the reasons? Do you approve what terrorists do to achieve their goals? Sacrificing innocent human lifes ON PURPOSE for their 'greater good'? Why are you ONLY able to blame the US for their deeds?

Instead of pressing 'Continue' you should also be able to go back to the main menu and select the second mission from the list.

They are custom equipment and you only need to edit the scripts.

I don't hate the US. I am actually trying to fight off all the others. I just hoped people can actually think a little bit further instead of saying what others told them, what they've seen on tv or read somewhere. Why the taser?

Lets not go that way please. If you look close enough, you can see anything in that. Conspiracy theories are always incomplete, vague and done by wannabe scientists. With modern technology you can make anything look like something else. You just have to convince other people of your theory. I want to stay with the publicated and official facts.

So you are a communist? Did you know that true communism cannot exist? It would require a radical change to the human psych and that is impossible to achieve. From naturally, humans are egoists. People do not work for the common good, but for themselves and that's why communism sounds great in theory but never proved to be successful for real. Concering the wars, the Vietnam War was the only war where the US shouldn't get involved in, in my opinion. It were the French who unstabilized the country after they tried to 'recapture' and claim it shortly after World War II. Then you also had the Korean War in the '50s, where the US assisted South-Korea after the UN requested that. Another big one was the Somali Civil War where conditions got so bad that the UN (yes the United Nations) tried to restore order. The First Gulf War was actually caused by Iraq itself. Because of the importance of oil to the whole world (not only the US!) the US and a huge coalition from 34 countries (including Greece and Norway) started to stop Iraq's aggression. The invasion was authorized by the UN. The invasian in Afghanistan in 2001 was a direct result of 9/11. The invasion of Iraq in 2003 wasn't really expected and wasn't approved by the UN, but if you think further than your hate against the US you will understand it had its reasons too. Saddam Hussein was powerful, used WMD's (Weapons of Mass Destruction) before and could've had them by now if the invasion never happened. It's only guessing ofcourse, but Iraq WAS an actual treat to the world. I do not support that war either, but at least its a concern of the US now. Either way, it's very simple and hypocrite to say that US does things without reasons. You don't just send 10.000s of troops to a country because you like to. Like I said before. At least there is one country willing to do what is necessary. And sometimes, war is inevitable, but it's rarely a solution to solve a conflict. Obama became President when the economical crisis was just started. You can't really expect much in less than a year. Hoppah
