You're trying to make me feel sorry?
-
I got the file. This is how the installer is going to look like: As you can see you can only install one of the new maps and not both, because both maps require the same files to be replaced. I still need to make all versions of the maps compatible with the latest version of the Los Angeles Mod, so it will take a while before this is going to be released. I have also contacted w00d. Hopefully, he'll reply soon. Hoppah

Mine said the same thing in Dutch, but it works now. Thanks randomperson139.

It's says the file is temporarily not available. Am I cursed or something?

Thanks, that's an important bug. I should be able to fix that by disabling the body bag script when the victim is inside a house.

You didn't do anything wrong. People just bitch to other people too much.

Submod: New Freeplay Map Second Edition - update
Hoppah replied to w00d's topic in Submods [Not released]
Hoppah, two p's. one o. That was my idea indeed. I want to make it compatible with v2.0 and release it together with w00ds other map as an easy to install executable file. I am going to try to contact w00d about it soon. Hopefully he'll answer, but I'm not sure about the reasons why he disappeared and if he will asnwer back. I don't think he has problems with it as long I don't make drastic changes to the maps. And I have absolutely no intentions to take credit for the maps. Both maps were popular and a re-release which compatible with the newest version of the Los Angeles mod would do good. -
Only the files which aren't hosted on this forum. I think it's the big freeplay texture only (New_Freeplay_Floor_v1.2.zip). Size should be about 25 MB's.

I have the same problem. w00d hasn't posted here for ages here, so I decided to release his maps as an .exe (wrote something about that months ago), but I can't even seem to download the files now. Maybe there is someone who'd like to host the New_Freeplay_Floor_v1.2.zip file somewhere else?

Pray if I ever come back.

Admins get 4 days, but I can't ban myself. I want to know how it feels like so I can tell all the people "I know how you feel. I've been through the same thing. It was horrible, but I survived."

You're welcome and thanks for testing the fix.

Ok, I tried something else. The Los Angeles mod missions are now the last ten missions in the list. That means they're listed 21 to 30 now. I also emptied the files campaign_params.xml and missioninfos.xml. So far, it seems that these changes have fixed the problem! I finished two missions (mission 1 and 21), restarted the game several times and no missions disappeared. The 'Back to Menu' in the mission score window seems to work again as well. Before I release an official patch (which will also contain other fixes) I'd like to share this fix first, to make sure it works for everyone and to confirm the fix. How to install: 1. Download the package fix.zip 2. Unzip the package 3. Move 'Los Angeles Mod v2.0' folder to your \Mods\ folder and overwrite all older files. 4. Done and play Hoppah fix.zip

I like phones like that one for their functionality, they're just usually thick. Even my old Nokia is probably smaller. That's why I chose for a touchscreen-only phone.

But a whole new map wouldn't make it that better. Easiest way would be replacing buildings one by one on the new map. That would do the trick too, because almost nobody would recognize a real area anyway. More buildings based on Los Angeles style would really improve the map. I just don't have a lot of time anymore.
-
I wouldn't do it. Even if I had millions of time and got paid I still wouldn't do it. It serves no purpose, because most people don't even know how Los Angeles looks like in reality. The topic starter doesn't even recognize some of the buildings put in the mod. The LA River, brige, the bank building, the donut shop, the stripmall, the building of the second fire station, the hospital, the pawn shops, the small apartments are all based on existing buildings in Los Angeles. Then we also have the Wall-Mart, Mc Donalds and Burger King buildings which are also based on a real existing building in the US. 99% of the new map was made by myself and I feel kinda offended by this topic, because it feels like my map is not proper. You have no idea how much time I have already put into this new map. Making a map which really looks like a real area in Los Angeles would take YEARS to make by just one person. Making thousends of real existing objects (like massive buildings) is very very time-consuming compared to creating fictional buildings for a fictional map. Creating a team to realize that has not been proved effective. So f*ck that. At least I took the time to actually create a new map and that's why I feel offended.

True, how would you spice it to flavour it a bit?

I don't know how to cook my phone. Seriously, is that hard to do? I am kinda satisfied with my phone, I just wish the default media player had a better functionality. The huge album covers are useles and the three buttons next to them are ridiculously small.
