When you enable hose connections, some connections will appear on the truck. Equip a fireman with hoses and click on a connection. You need to do that quite precisely.

I'm not going to add more patrol cars, but I like a paddy wagon. Too bad we can't find any pictures of a LAPD (or LASD) paddy wagon.

Yeah, I made the 'red wand' invisible for v1.1, because I don't like. I think I'm going to make that flashlight. I can't simulate the lights on it, but it's better than nothing. A paddy wagon is a good idea. Here is a picture of a LASD bus -> Click. I think it's used to transport prisoners/detained people.

As promised. here is some news about v1.1: - Police Barricade will stop civilians (like officers do with Halt command). - New commands: Paramedics can drop stretcher and 2 paramedics can get the stretcher from an ambulance. - AND flares added. Exactly. No offense, but I said 2 or 3 times that I'm going to make some fire trucks invulerable. I'm going to give warnings if people keep talking about it. News about my mod: v1.1 is close to release. Need to fix one script bug and I can test the mod myself for a few days. I don't want to see posts about release dates and test versions (= warning too). I will post some more information about v1.1 soon.

I don't want to make the game easier by making all vehicle's invulnerable, but the exploding vehicles are very irritating (and it's far from realistic). The fire trucks are necessary to fight fires, so they are close to the fires. That's why some of the fire trucks are invulnerable. Other news: I've created a forum banner for the mod. That's a known error in my mod. For some reason, that command doesn't work always. What you can try is restart Emergency 3, load my mod and start with the mission again.

I wanted to protect most of my vehicles to fire. But this is not possible. There are two choices: 1. The vehicles are invulnerable (You can't destroy them) 2. Same vulnerability as v1.0 (They explode quite fast) So I can't protect them a bit. I was thinking of making some of my fire dept. vehicles completely invulnerable. What do you think?

LOL, There is always a way to make a mod English, just change the text files. But the German modders won't do that, because it's alot of work.

Maybe I should delay the release date for 1 or 2 months. People are way too impatient here. Those people should go to school or apply for a job too.

Why you did that? You unpacked the .zip file first abd then install the .e4mod file with the ModInstaller? You can try this too: Delete all your Temperoray Internet Files and Cookies. That worked for me when I have corrupt packages.

That truck already carries a diver. You can use SHIFT+B to turn off the lights, but I can make a command (with icon) as well. But it's not really important. The 'directional lights' command was quite difficult and complicated to make. I don't know if this will work perfect ingame. Something for v1.2. If the game didn't need a truck like that, there was no (aerial) ladder truck in my mod. But you need that truck for some certain rescue situations. Same thing for Watertender and Mass Casualty Unit. Great idea ofcourse, but it doesn't improve gameplay; it slows down. When you have to get the stretcher every time you want to move a patient it will slow down your game. It's possible to create this, but I don't know if I'm going to add this. I didn't add this to the LA mod in Em3, because of the same reason. It's a great idea, but because I have to edit a lot of files then this won't be in v1.1.

What Hammie says. I already raised the start budget in v1.0. For example: Freeplay SP (fp_params_endless.xml): Em4 v1.2: 75.000 LA mod v1.0: 150.000 So, the money is already doubled and prices of vehicles aren't higher. I was thinking to change the prices to realistic amounts, because a terrorist attack doesn't cost 200.000 or something. Maybe it's more fun to use a MUCH higher amount. Like when you want to buy a fire truck it will cost you 40.000 what is more realistic than 1.500. The money you will earn will rise too, so the gameplay stays the same. It's just cool to see realistic amounts.

That will ruin the gameplay. Some vehicles are even too cheap.

Working on unit information what is a lot of work, but a nice addition to my mod. It adds some detail. All vehicles are done. Will do the units (persons) tomorrow.

I changed the colour of the fire hose to more yellow/khaki colour. Example http://www.pte.state.id.us/iest/esimages/firehose.JPG Edit: I changed something to the siren scripts: In v1.0 the siren ALWAYS stopped when a vehicle stopped moving. What I changed is that the siren will only stop when 'Automatic Siren' is activated. When 'Automatic Siren' is activated ('Automatic Siren' is activated for default) this will happen automaticly: - Siren will start when vehicle starts moving. - Siren will stop when vehicle stops moving. When 'Automatic Siren' is deactivated (Use 'Deactivate automatic sirens' command first) this will happen: - Siren won't start when vehicle starts moving. - Siren won't stop when vehicle stops moving. (this don't work in v1.0) - This means the siren will only start or stop when you use 'Siren on/off' command. Hoppah

Funny... I saw that too. Now search for a good picture of a 'real' (LA County) Coroner's Van, so I can make a correct one. If you can't find a good one, don't act like I'm stupid. Other news: Brush Truck is finished: The 'Equipment door' will open/close when you attach/detach a fire hose. You can attach only 1 hose to this truck. EDIT: I know the English text sucks and that the vehicle is too cheap. Hoppah

The car has both emblems (LA County + Coroner's emblem). About the lightbar: The only picture I have used is this one: click That picture looks old and the small lightbar on top looks horrible. So I created a whelen edge lightbar model using this picture (Coroner's Van from another county). I don't think LA County Coroner is using that lightbar IRL, but it's better than nothing. And the same lightbar is used by other counties, so it's not unrealistic.
