You have to edit the unit ID files too (Los Angeles Mod v1.3/Units/Vehicles/Police/...). Add 22 to "missions value"

Can someone confirm that the Bomb Squad (+robot) works in freeplay? So can the robot disarm bombs in freeplay? I am trying to test this, but I never get a bomb alert in freeplay, even after playing more than 1 hour.

Hehehe, yes it was necessary because one mission was unplayable/bugged. Otherwise, I wouldn't release a fixed version.

Ok I just released a fixed version, because there were so many bugs. The mod is still v1.3. I made a small FAQ: How can I reconize the fixed version? On the "f" in the package file name: Los_Angeles_Mod_v1-3f_by_Hoppah.zip. How can I install the fixed version? Like all previous versions. Delete any older versions, install the fixed version then. V1.3 has been released! Version 1.3 contains: - Three new missions. - New vehicles: USAR Truck, LAPD Slick-top car & Bomb Squad Suv. - New units: USAR Task Force & Bomb Squad Unit. - Bomb robot added. - Directional lights added to all Ford Crown Victoria vehicles, all fire engines and some other vehicles. - Three new missions added. - Patrol script enhanced; Vehicles can follow more paths through the city. - Patrol script added to multiplayer. - SWAT Units can halt and redirect traffic now. - Units equipped with a MP5, M4a1 or ballistic shield can enter vehicles now. - All Ford Crown Victoria's can transport up to two detainees now. - Small changes to freeplay. - Fixed a major bug which caused a crash in freeplay. - Lots of other small additions and bug fixes * DOWNLOAD * In case the download page is down, wait a few hours or download the mod tomorrow. V1.3 is going to be released today or tomorrow. I am still testing the mod a bit (I found and fixed two small bugs again), but everything looks good by now. I am already preparing and changing things (website, forum etc...) for v1.3. Hoppah

I am not going to change the fire station again, because it's too much work. But calling 1 fireman instead of all firemen is a good idea, but I'm not going to add that to v1.3. Sorry for being rude, but I need to say this too. I am really getting tired of all those suggestions. There are people who want... - a second fire station on the freeplay map. - the fire station, hospital and police station on the multiplayer and/or deluxe map. - federal units, like fbi and US marshals. - a different fire station setup (positions of vehicles in garage). - a "disable traffic lights" command. - realistic automatic weapons (mine aren't, because of game restrictions). - lots of car accident missions. - more and new freeplay events. - more and improved sirens. - a German version of the mod. - improved lights on every vehicle. - shotguns for police officers. - fire fighter -> hazmat "change clothes command" - "hold", "target" and "go" commands for snipers. - LAPD supervisors. - Parking lots at the hospital. - .......................... The idea's are good and always welcome, but when I say "no" or "not yet", stop giving arguments that I really have to add that. Responding to those posts makes my tired and that will only reduce my motivation. The most important thing is that the next version is bug-free. Besides that, a lot of people want to create a new mod and they are requesting my help too. Hoppah

I hope so, people still have to test that.

Language files are included in the mod, so when you load my mod, the game will load my language files. Doesn't matter if you have the English, German or French version of Emergency 4 (or 911 First Responders), they game will load those files. When you load a mod, NOTHING will be changed to the original files.

I'll explain about those directional lights for one more time: Each vehicle has lights and there are different lights types. The flashing lights have the "bluelight" type. Those can be turned off using the flashing lights command. That command turns the "bluelight" lights off. The is also a "headlight" type. Those lights will turn on when it's dark. And there is a "speciallight" type. Those lights can be turned on using a specific command. The directional lights and the floodlights are "speciallights". The command enables ALL "speciallights" so that means the directional lights and the floodlights will turn on if a car has those lights. So, I can't add both commands since there is only one "speciallight" type. @ chevyrulzs2010: I can't make every car (civilian cars included) invulnerable, because of game restrictions. It's just a part of the game. It looks like every car has a bomb in the trunk. Hoppah

In v1.3 all patrol cars and the fire engine's have directional lights instead of the floodlights which weren't very usefull, because my mod doesn't have night missions. The directional lights are very handy. In freeplay, you can still use the engineer and the floodlight during night.

Hi everyone, Mission 3 is finished, Bomb Squad is doing their job. Ingame screenshot: Notice how the arm of the Bomb Robot is positioned. I have changed the Bomb Squad SUV. The vehicle has a smaller lightbar now. I have added some more objects to the larger trucks in my mod. Thanks to Voodoo_Operator for those objects. The Hazmat Truck, LAPD SWAT Heavy Rescue Truck and the Mass Casualty Unit have more details on the roof. That's also visible in the screenshot (The SWAT truck). Hoppah

New pictures of the robot with the texture: In Zmodeler 2: Zmodeler 2: Arm will move to this position when robot is disarming a bomb. This is not an animation, but a I used a code to open "doors". And the arm is a "door". Bomb robot & Bomb Squad Bomb robot, Bomb Squad & Bomb Squad SUV. The robot is a bit too large and too long, so I might changing that. Oh, the SUV doesn't have a smaller lightbar and white fender flares yet. Hoppah

You're right! When I paste the link into the address bar while I am visiting a normal website (no forum), it works! I like the white van (last picture). I think SWAT uses those vans too.

I will change the bomb squad vehicle, but I'm not going to make more bomb squad vehicles. Two reasons: 1. Creating a whole new model, texture and all other coding takes a lot of time. That's also why I didn't make a Chevrolet Tahoe, I used the Suburban model from the battalion chief instead. 2. Bomb squad isn't very important for Emergency 4. I don't want to spend my time on something unimportant. Besides that, I am very very busy with missions and other stuff, like creating 5 scripts for the robot. Maybe I will add a second bomb squad vehicle in newer versions than 1.3. I just don't want to spend my time on new vehicles & units anymore. btw. I can't view the fortunecity pictures. I think it's because I don't live in America (other IP number). Thanks for tips, Hoppah

Finally, more news about my mod. I already mentioned bomb squad somewhere. So here is more information about the new bomb squad units. I have made a bomb squad suv (photo) and a bomb squad unit. Picture: The bomb squad unit can disarm bombs only, of course. Right now, I am working on a bomb squad robot (photo)! Picture of the model in Zmodeler 2: The robot will be radio controlled, that means that the bomb squad unit can control the robot with a controller. The robot can disarm bombs too. I still need to make those commands, so I am going to be very busy with those things. When the robot has a texture, I will post more pictures of course. Hoppah

LOL, do you want to pay at least $10,- for my mod, when I'm going to spend my money on models for the mod? Besides that, those vehicles have way too many polygons. Emergency 4 doesn't need such models. They will work, but they will slow down your game whatever computer you have. The Emergency 4 graphical engine isn't built for high polygon models.
