Thanks for the information Mike, THIS is really helpfull! I can't promise to change or add everything you said. Some vehicles are actually required or VERY handy by/for this game, like the Mass Casualty Truck, Motorboat Transporter (motorboat must be transported by road) and the water tender. I can't add good working trailers, so that's why the Motorboat Transport and Aerial Ladder truck don't have trailers. This is what I'm going to do: - Adding silver/diamond rooftops to most FD vehicles. I suppose the HAZMAT squad and the USAR squad have silver/diamond rooftops too? - Changing the Light Equipment Vehicle to the LACoFD Heavy Equipment Squads version. - Changing the Brush Truck. - Adding "Call helicopter/ambulance" to single paramedics. - Rename some of the vehicles. - Adding your changed events.xml file. Did you test the file? I finally have some rooftop pictures now. I didn't know about the silver/diamond rooftops simply because I didn't have the pictures. So thanks for the pictures. What I'm not going to do: - Removing the single paramedic. Most people think they're handy, some people think they should be removed. I want to keep some of the original EM4 gameplay, so I am not going to remove them. They're not irritating nor useless either. - Removing the white over red van. This van was a requested vehicle on this forum. I added it, because it looked cool. If you don't like it, don't use it. I don't use that vehicle neither. - Adding drivers. Too difficult to add and completely unnecessary. It will be very annoying if a vehicle must have a driver when you want to move it. And remember, EM4 is a game, not a (rescue) simulator. But, THANKS again, for the information and the provided photo's. After I have completed the Forest Service vehicles and the new mission I will start with changing the FD vehicles.

Wrong. It's still em4.exe, but you have to use -editor in the startup line of a shortcut to em4.exe. If you check the 'properties' from the Em4 editor file, you'll know what I mean.

You can do this: Edit mod text files -> post them (ONLY the text files) in a .zip or .rar package on this forum. Use the attachement system for that. I will host those text files on my LA mod server for you. I DON'T want you to release the mod as a Polish version. I have more than enough reasons for that.

In editor, change Placement to "Custom" of that vehicle.

Wrong, don't touch that file. Reason: The scripts of bomb squad work with object names. The Bomb Squad units can only disarm objects named "bomb" (freeplay bombs) and "m03_bomb" (that bomb in LA mod mission 3). Bombs in the original missions probably have other names, so bomb squad can't defuse them. That's why they're disabled. But Bomb Squad should be playable in freeplay with the mission patch. You need to edit freeplaybase files in the Specs folder: Open freeplaybase.xml and/or freeplaybase_d.xml (Deluxe) with WordPad or NotePad and add the following line somewhere: <vehicle prototype="mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/03 LA Police/suv_bomb_squad.e4p" count="0" /> This will also be fixed in the next version of the LA mod. It's not a new freeplay map, I just added the fire station, police station and the hospital to the Deluxe freeplaymap, so that is only playable with people who own Em4 Deluxe.

Hi, October is almost over, so I thought to post some interesting information about the traffic usage of our database this month: Top 3 most hits (= downloads): As you can see, Los Angeles Mod v1.3 has been downloaded over 10.000 times this month! Followed by Los Angeles Mod v1.4 which has been downloaded more than 5.000 times in just 5 days! Quite interesting, isn't it? Thanks to Stan for the information, Hoppah

I know it's realistic and do able. But I think it's very irritating when you can't move a car when you need one and there is no squad unit nearby. I am not going to add this as it will ruin some of the gameplay. Besides that, I think most people are against this idea. My cars are smarter than the cars where a driver is needed.

No, you have to wait till all other things are done. The stations on the Deluxe map is also a new feature and that still being tested. I want to add more stuff too, like that forest fire mission.

No, that's not necessary. None of the bugs causes a crash to desktop or big problems.

3 offtopic posts deleted. Create a new topic if you want to talk about girls and vibrating controllers. I made this topic because I want to discuss seriously about Xbox 360 (games). Three weeks left until Assassin's Creed. Can't wait. Want to play it right now. Played the Need for Speed Pro Street demo some days ago. I don't like this game, although I like the scenery and settings (Nevada Highway \o/ ). But that's all. Where are the police pursuits?

You know the game GTA: San Andreas? There is a large mod commity with 100s of pretty good vehicles to download. If you actually want to use one of them in a mod, you will need permission from the original creator. Use www.google.com to find those websites.

More people have a similar problem, but it doesn't have anything to do with the mod file. You can try this: - Delete your cookies and temporary internet files. - Make sure your browser accepts cookies. This will probably fix your problem.

Thanks to SHERIFF05 I've added the commands "Get Extinguisher", "Extinguish", "Cool", "Lift person" and "Unload person" to all police units. Almost all police vehicles have the extinguisher. Picture: The LAFD was too busy with the other forest fires; LAPD units are on their own.

You'll need (to buy) at least the following programs: - Photoshop or any other professional image editor program. You will need this program for editing textures/skins. - Zmodeler 2, to make and export .v3o model files Besides that, you need Notepad and/or Wordpad and the Emergency 3 editor (look in your Start folders to find a shortcut to the editor). And the most important thing: PATIENCE Took me at least 3 months to create my first nice and detailed model, and more than 1 year to understand most scripting stuff.

Hi, First new feature in v1.5: Fire station, police station and hospital added on Deluxe freeplaymap. Took me 1 day to change the deluxe ground texture and copy everything from the original freeplaymap to this map. The patrol commands will work too. Why should it be on PC only? Because first person shooters play better on pc? That's what I thought too, before I ever touched a console. I even hated it. But as soon you're familiar with the console and controller, it doesn't matter. In fact, I like playing on console better than on a pc, just because I play on a bigger screen and on/in a bed. There is a large difference between a controller and mouse/keyboard, but both have their advantages. Although you can do much more with a mouse/keyboard, a controller is much more comfortable. I don't have the older Xbox, but one of my friends has one and the older Xbox controllers are bigger. But the Xbox 360 controllers feel much more comfortable. I also think they're better than the PS3 controllers (another friend has a PS3), but that's just my opinion. I suggest you go to a shop and ask if you may hold a controller, because you have big hands.
