Thanks for all the information. It's very interesting as I don't have any experience with things like that. :1046275747_biggthumpup: Before I will considering adding more medical units I want to change some vehicles first. That's more important I think. I need to change most Fire Dept. vehicles and maybe some police vehicles too, to make the mod more realistic. But I haven't finished the new (Forest fire) mission yet, so it will take some time before I can work on new units.

I made the following changes to the script: - Added more behaviour codes like BEHAVIOUR_GANGSTER_ATTACKSQUAD and BEHAVIOUR_GANGSTER_ATTACKSQUAD_SMART - When a person surrenders the police officer will move and arrest the person after a few seconds automaticly. - The gangster will immediatly shoot at the police officer when he doesn't surrender (or flee) and is armed with a gun (using 'primary target' code) and the police officer will start shooting at the gangster. - The Arrest2 command doesn't work on gangsters with a sharpshooter rifle. - Gangsters who don't surrender and don't have a gun will run to the police officer to beat him up. - When a gangster tries to flee, but doesn't have an assigned path he will start to fight the police officer. Woltep, if you like those changes I can send the script to you. It's still your script and I don't want or need any credits for those changes. I just improved it a bit. Hoppah

What's an ALS Fire Engine? Are you talking about the LA Mod?
-
Thanks for the explanation Woltep. edit: If I'm going to add it to my mod is it ok if I make some little changes to the script? For example: I want to change that to a probability of 40% that he will give up and 60% so that he won't give up.

GREAT Pictures! :1046275747_biggthumpup: I will change the paramedics too.

I just finished the California Highway Patrol Dodge Charger! I decided to make a marked version with push bumper and a LED lightbar, because it looks so cool. The car has the same functions as all other patrol cars except the higher speed. It has 3 doors (passenger, driver & trunk lid) and about 2.000 polygons including the 4 wheels and the 3 doors. Export or save it with 3DS Max as .3ds files. Import the file in Zmodeler2. -
[vehicle]Engine 7 Fire Department New York
Hoppah replied to martijntjuh's topic in Modding Related Support
Nice, will it be added to one of the NY mods? -
Yeah, looks nice. I still need to test it before I will add it.
-
Yeah thanks. :1046275747_biggthumpup:

- Border Patrol and Life Guard sound nice, but I think my mod already has enough units. - Shotgun is cool, but I am not going to add it. It's just unnecessary. - Same thing for bullet proof vests, although it doesn't take too much time to add. - I can't make civilians give first aid to injured people. - Substations would be very cool, but it's a lot of work. And a lot of people already have problems with freeplay (crashes, frame rate issues). - I have planned to change the fire dept. vehicles first. Then I will do some changes to police vehicles, like new lightbars. Right now, I am working on a Dodge Charger model. According to this article most CHP Dodge Chargers will be unmarked. No logo's, no visible lightbars. I was thinking of giving it logo's, a LED lightbar and push bumper. I don't have to necessarily stick with each thing. A marked Dodge Charger with a LED lightbar is much cooler, I think. This looks much better than a normal black/gray/green Dodge Charger.

Haha. I haven't made the model yet. I don't know if I'm going to replace it. I can also add it as a new vehicle. I wanted to replace it because I NEVER use the Camaro.

Thanks ranger211. I'll see what I can do. Some more news something else: I found out that more people are playing online than I originally thought. People are often playing with friends or clans with my mod. Winger contacted me some time ago about this. He changed some multiplayer stuff to add more variety to the mod. He added extra events to the map. He also copied some events from singleplayer freeplay to multiplayer. He has send me his changed files and I have added them to mod. This will add alot more fun and variety to multiplayer. Everything is tested and should work perfectly. The changed files will come with the next version of the mod. Thanks to Winger. Hoppah

Nice, but I don't know if it will be useful. It's also quite difficult to add and it will work the EXACT same way as the MP5 and M4a1.

Final version of the CHP officer. Removed the tie shown in previous picture. I've also changed the SWAT unit and soldier. They both have the body of the scout with a new helmet now. The SWAT unit also wears a balaclava (-> ) now.
-
I think I will keep the hat. It isn't completely unrealistic and it actually looks quite nice. It also adds some extra variation between the units.
-
So I should delete them? I used this picture for the hat: click The link MikesPhoto's posted also shows the basic uniform with hats. btw, I just found this: Article: click Something to replace the CHP Camaro?

Great news! I found out how to add polygons to a person model! I spend some time with Bass-ti to figure out how to add new polygons to animated (person) models last week. I always thought it wasn't possible to assign new polygons to an existing animation, but I was wrong! I have modelled a new hat for the CHP officer and assigned the new polygons to the animation set of the head. I did it completely manually, that means using NotepPad to add the polygons of the hat to the person and assign it to an animation set. Picture of the new CHP officer. I am also going to make a new helmet for the SWAT units and soldiers in the LA Mod. It's also possible to add things like backpacks to any person model now. I've made a 'tutorial' about how I added the stretcher wheels to the paramedic model. Adding a hat or backpack works the same way, except that you assign the polygons to an animation set instead of a dummy set (= not animated). If people are interested I can release this. Note: Learning this will be very time-consuming and difficult and I won't provide much support. It's (far) more difficult than learning scripting or moddeling, so it will be for advanced (3d-moddelers) only. Like Bass-ti said: "Scripting is like playing with Lego compared to this" lol. Hoppah

I just finished the ground texture for the forest fire mission. It's going to be a large mission, because the map has the size of the freeplaymap! Creating this map was a lot of work and quite stressful (my pc has troubles with large images), but I managed to create a nice map. Preview (scaled down from original): Size of original: 8192 x 8192 pixels (that's more than 66 million pixels total! lol) You can see the airforce base on the left. There is a lake above it. You can also see where the houses of the village will be positioned. Fire will start somewhere on the bottom. I don't have editor screens yet. I am going start with placing objects tomorrow. Hoppah

Not possible. There are vehicle types and each vehicle type has its own entry point (and/or exit). All patrol cars share the same vehicle type.
-
Yes, it's the F-15E Strike Eagle. The F-22 Raptor is great too. But one airplane is enough. It's just decoration and the airbase won't be that large.
-
Finally some news about my mod. Some of you know that I'm busy with a forest fire mission. I wrote that there will be a powerplant on the new map, which you have to protect from fire. I changed my thoughts. It's going to be a military air force base! That's why I've made a fighter plane. It's based on a real airplane which is still in use by the USAF. Picture: Who knows which airplane this is? Hints: Hoppah

I have planned to change a lot of fire dept. vehicles for the next version (1.5). Thanks to MikesPhotos, I got some new photo's recently. Those vehicles will be much better and accurate.

Well, personally I think it's not like Counterstrike. There are a lot of different gamemodes like - Team Deathmatch - Deathmatch - Domination (capture + hold three flags) - Headquaters (Capture a headquater, hold it for some time, then a new one spawns somewhere else) - Search & Destroy (plant bomb, you can have one death like CS) - Oldschool (weapons are pickups, no HUD, more weapon damage) - Team Tactical (3 vs 3 max, different game modes) I prefer Team Tactical, because I mostly play with a friend. Call of Duty 4 has a GREAT promotion system with experience and a lot of special challanges (to gain extra experience). Weapons can be upgraded. There are perks for special abilities. You can create custom classes. There is sooo much. I just hate grenades. You can have three different perks at the same time. So you can combine the "Grenades x3", "Martyrdom" (drop live grenade when you die) and "Sonic Boom" (explosive damage increase) perks. Grenades have a great advantage when you use that and I think that s*cks. Especially at gamemodes like headquaters and search & destroy where you need to capture points. Nevertheless it's still a great game.
