Some new eye candy: Screenshots made in the editor in free view. Both fire engine's and the aerial ladder have been changed. All three vehicles have a silver roof and lots of new details. The fire engine's have a deck gun. Textures have also been improved. I'm still trying to add working (animated) supports to the ladder truck. Hoppah

I agree with Mav1701. It's also not possible to add more than four hose connections per vehicle. I can easily change the position of the connections, but I think the way they are positioned now is the best. Mod news: I've almost finished the second fire engine too. After that I will work on the Aerial Ladder and the Water Tender. Both will have some more details and some texture improvements. More pictures soon.

Can you post one of the edited lights here (in an attachment)? Go to .../Mods/Los Angeles v1.4/Prototypes/Vehicles/02 LA Fire Department/ And post fire_truck01.e4p (prototype file of LAFD Fire Engine 1) here. In case I like your lights I can add them to v1.5.

Me means adding the striping on the other two ambulances. The white/red ambulance seemed to be older and only newer ambulances will have it. Those two screenshots were made in the editor. You can press the Pause/Break button to go into free view.

So, Here is the new version of Fire Engine 1: Screenshots taken in the editor. What's changed/new: - Texture improved. - Deck gun added (and doesn't work ingame) - Removed hose rolls on top. - Silver colored roof - More details (traffic cone, control panels) - HiViz painting on back Anyone tips? I think it looks much better than the old version. Thanks to MikesPhotos for providing photo's. Hoppah

Particles are just decoration, they don't effect burning time. Each object has a material. Example: <material name="Wood" combustion="1000.00" maxtemp="150.00" burntime="180.00" chargetime="45.00" cooling="0.00" heatres="0.00" force="1.50" forceradius="1.50" explode="0" /> (Data/Specs/materials.xml) You can set the material of each object in Edit -> Edit Traits

Are you using Vista? There were/are some problems with Emergency 4 running on Vista, right?

Well, you also need to edit a script for the siren command when you've made new prototype files for your vehicles. I've planned to make some tutorials after I have released v1.5 of the LA mod.

I made the deck gun model yesterday: Thanks to Mikesphotos's pictures it looks quite accurate. Hoppah

Nice photo's Mike. I think I have more than enough photo's for now, but it's always nice to see new ones.
-
I don't think it's possible.
-
Yes, they can change gear at almost all fire apparatus.
-
I'm not going to add more futures to v1.5 anymore. I haven't planned anything.
-
I've updated the texture a bit, thats all. I didn't change the flash patterens, because I think they're good enough.

UPDATE The LACoFD Heavy Equipment Squad and Brush Truck have been finished. I've also added the changed paramedics on the pictures: The LACoFD Heavy Equipment Squad replaces the LAFD Light Equipment Truck which didn't exist. Hoppah

Haha, I didn't even know that. I saw those 'dots' on the pictures so I painted them on the texture. About the chevrons/HiViz painting: Only the red ambulance have them now. Should I add them to the other 2 ambulances too? And what colour? yellow on white doesn't look that good. I'm also going to add them to the fire engine's, because MikesPhotos showed us a picture of a fire engine with the chevrons. So, I haven't planned to add them to the other vehicles unless I see some pictures. And I can always add them in later versions of the LA mod. @ Smitty: I haven't planned to do another mod. I'm just too busy with the LA Mod. Although, it will look very cool to change all units to NY some time. But I don't have the time to do that.

Thanks, I was just going to ask you about that.

NO!Quit asking those questions. You don't need to ask for updates... When there are updates I will post them as soon as possible. When there are no updates, I won't post anything. This is so annoying. Btw learn to type my username/nickname correctly. The level is dropping here.... Grow up and come back. Hoppah

Obvious, it was sarcasm.

Great pictures. Thanks, Mike. I appreciate your help. Thanks thanks thanks.

Not yet. :1046276313_Up_to_something:

Edit: Well, I got one small news update about my mod. I just changed the paramedic skins. The light blue shirt is dark now. And it's possible to put paramedics on most fire apparatus.
-
Sorry for my first post, I misunderstood your question. But I don't think it is possible. There might be a texture somewhere of the grid, but I have no idea where to find that. Hoppah

But you never finished it and mine is better detailed.
