Not exactly, There are 4 ambulances. The red/white ambulance is BLS The red ambulance is ALS The LAX ambulance is ALS The van ambulance is ALS (renamed to Vintage ambulance in 1.7) More information: Fire station 1 has two ALS ambulances as asual. Fire station 2 has one BLS ambulance. Default crew of fire engine 1 is 2 FF/EMT's and 2 FF/PM's.

More news! I have changed the skin of Mass Casualty Unit. It has the same colors as the Mobile Field Hospital now. Because trailers are too buggy I kept the model I already had, so it's just a reskin to add a bit more realism. Picture: Photo: click The changed EMS (Emergency Medical Service) system: Mikesphotos already revealed there will be a big change in the EMS system in my mod. Here is the full info: The firefighters in the Los Angeles mod have been splitted up into 2 different qualifications. The FF/EMT can stabilize and the FF/PM can heal persons. Both kind of firefighters can use all equipment and both firefighters can use SCBA gear or a stretcher. Besides the two qualifications, I have added an EMS Paramedic Captain. He can heal and call for additional vehicles. Because the FF/EMT's have a basic medical training you will usually find them on fire apparatus like the fire engine's. The FF/PM's can be found on the ambulances or as extra crew on the engine's and trucks. Because the FF/PM's can heal they are part of the EMS group (or Ambulance group = white dots on minimap) and the FF/EMT's are part of the Fire Department group. You can easily recognize the paramedics on the EMS logo in their unit picture. What are the differences compared to previous versions of the Los Angeles Mod? Besides some name changes, the FF/PM's have more similar clothing to the normal firefighters like in the previous versions. They have a helmet and wear a yellow jacket now. All FF/PM's have the ability to use all equipment and they can get the SCBA gear. The FF/EMT's have the abilty to get a stretcher now. Because it is not possible to change person models, the firefighters with stretcher still wear navy blue pants and shirt. The EMT bag which was carried by the paramedic is standard equipment of the FF/PM and can be dropped and get from vehicles now. FF/PM's without the bag can still heal persons, but the EMT bag offers a small bonus to the healing process and is necessary to defibrillate persons. Because there are 4 new person models and name and skin changes I have added a picture which summarizes the above text: EMT = Emergency Medical Technician PM = Paramedic FF = Firefighter The last part of this newpost is a small preview of the manual (for v1.7) I'm working on: Hoppah

Too big and trailers are a problem. I was already thinking of reskinning the MCU to these colours.

Not correct: People would bitch about every little thing that's not working correctly until I stop modding. Not correct: It's not possible to disable that command, so the whole solution doesn't matter anymore. You can do it with a mission script, but it won't work in freeplay, because freeplay doesn't have a script what keeps running during the game (just a script that's executed once (at start)). And commandscripts can't check for arrived vehicles. Not correct: That's not the point, the cab doesn't 'know' there is a trailer. It will never find a good spot to install, because the parts of the ladder are part of the trailer and NOT the cab. The cab doesn't know where the trailer is, for example 30 degrees on the left side. Not correct: Vertices doesn't have anything to do with collision data. Physics do, but your idea is stretching the physics and making the car a 30 ft long block, because physics AND vertices don't bend when the trailer bends. I won't be convinced until I see: 1. A truck + trailer that seems to arrive on the map when send them from the menu. Even in freeplay mode. 2. Fully working physics for cab and trailer. 3. Fully working ladder I am not going to spend my time on something that's almost doomed to fail. Hoppah

No I have planned to do a USCG station, FBI HQ, Army HQ, LASD station, CHP station, 2 LACoFD stations, aircraft carrier base, impoud, jail and an underground parking lot to park 200 emergency vehicles. What about Area 51, the White House, and adding a part of Baghdad to the city? I mean, there were some Germans who thought Baghdad is part of the USA now. Maybe I should make the island on the Deluxe map like Pearl Harbor. What about Guantanamo Bay????!11111lol

I learned it myself, I bet I am not the only one who can. How? By comparing my work to other work alot and trying things out. And, of course, starting with basics, easier things. People who want to immediatly build a script for a fire station will never learn C++ with that state of mind. And having patience is the key to it.

Fire Engine 1 and 2 share 2 bays, because they're basicly the same vehicle with different looks.

The USCG units in the mod are for rescuing purposes , not shooting people. The only reason I added the USCG rescue worker was because of the USCG helicopter and I don't think they have a firearms on a helicopter. There will be 3 or 4 new missions in v1.7. You will if you have good speakers. I have a 5.1 set with a huge 190 watt subwoofer connected to my pc and I will definately feel it. I won't add because the rumbler is even more annoying than normal sirens. Sirens aren't supposed to be cool or something...

Sorry, but the answer is no. I would like to keep the aerial ladder and engine in US mods only. Besides that, the aerial ladder and engine have cabins from Pierce and not E-one, I see quite alot of differences. I wouldn't like to see people taking my models apart. its like comparing a Volvo to a Mercedes, so I hope you agree.

More news finally! Like my previous news post, this is a large news post too. A lot of new things and pictures to view. Here we go... Voodoo_Operator made me a small building. It's a small apartment building in 4 different colors (blue, brown, yellow and green). You will find it on both freeplaymaps. Model and texture by Voodoo_Operator Mikesphotos gave me tips and photo's about the USAR uniform that's been used by USAR in LA. The old uniform in the LA Mod wasn't realistic, so I changed it. And a photo: click Because MikeyPI is missing for more than 1 month now, I had to finish his LASD Prison Van. MikeyPI already finished most of it, but never send me the latest version of his model, so I finished it. Here is the result: Model and texture by MikeyPI I am still working on the second new mission for version 1.7. Most of the mission has been finished, but I ran into a few crashing problems which were caused by unexplainable things on the map (not the script) so I had to redo the whole map file. Like I said before, the mission has some similarities to the 'President mission' in the EM3 version of the LA mod. There is still a convoy you have to protect, but almost everything else is different. A screenshot first then the mission briefing. The SUV's are a copy of the FBI SUV. The limousine is from Emergency 4, I just made it more black and a bit bigger. MikeyPI was working on a new limousine model too, but I never got the model from him. The mission briefing (made by Mikesphotos): There will be only one objective: 'Get the convoy safely to the airfield!' I can already promise this mission will be awesome, there will be multiple hidden surprises Not many people will complete the mission the first time, because there are so many things that will happen. :1046276313_Up_to_something: Other small news: - Day gradient of both freeplaymaps changed to 'desert'. This filter makes the maps look more sunny and colourful. The new mission has the same filter. - Replaced water tender with USAR Squad in fire station 1. - 'Call USAR squad' command added to battalion chief. - 'Call USAR Fire Fighter' command added to fire station control panels. - Both LAFD Engine's do not carry jaws of life anymore. Sigh. IMG tags removed. Don't post huge photo's. Now, you're posting a LASD Hummer H2 again. My mod already has one and I am not going to change it. I would like to keep some diversity between the vehicles and not giving all vehicles an Arjent lightbar because that lightbar is newer. I am also not going to add a LAPD Hummer H2. The online download has been released under the name of 911:First Responders and is (unfortunately) only available for the US and UK. This is the normal EM4 version (not Deluxe) in English and already patched up to v1.3.
