You can give them MP5s and Snipers using the equipment menu. If you want I will upload some screenshots that show you how to get them. BTW to the forums.

I think you can, I think you would have to add the vehicles manually. Start by reading the adding vehicles tutorial, which can be found here.

Have you looked in the save folder that is in the LA Mod folder?

Do you have Patch 1? I believe this was fixed in the patch.

Yes it would be possible to add the vehicles without replacing anything and it would also be possible to just add 2 vehicles. You would need to edit a few files yourself. Read the adding vehicles tutorial.
