  1. It worked for me. Have you added the right name for the personnel? Are you trying to add the standard Doctor from the original game or have you made your own? As suggested above, it's probably going to be easier adding the stabilise command to a police officer.
  2. Edit the unit.xml file for the police car and add the Doctor to the personnel section. This allows them to be in the police car when the car is called, but I can't quite remember how you can allow them to enter the car again. I don't think it was as simple as editing the enter car script, but I don't remember what else needed doing.
  3. Open Units in the mod folder, go to vehicles and find the vehicle you want to change. Open the relevant folder, and open the unit.xml file in notepad, and then change the speed of the unit to whatever you want it to be. Make sure you change the freeplay bit, because there are two sections and the freeplay section is the bottom part. Remember to back up your files in case you make a mistake.

  5. It's quite simple really, if you don't like the mod, then don't play it, that's your choice. If you're going to criticise, then at least offer constructive criticism, tell them what you don't like and suggest improvements. I'm sure Dyson and Rafael will respond to this. Although there is no way that they can please everyone, someone will always want things changing. Even if you don't like the mod, you should still respect Dyson and Raf for the time and effort they have put into the mod. They didn't have to, but they did for the community and this is the way you repay them. You should try making a mod the size of this, you'd soon realise how difficult it is when it's just done in free time with just two of you doing it. It's amazing that people are still willing to spend time making mods, when someone is always complaining about something. This has gone a long way from the original NY Submod, and Dyson and Rafael have done a great job. Sure, there might be things that other people would do differently, but they've released a stable mod with great models, some great new scripts, and much more and we should be thanking them for this. Nobody should really be compaining that they've released a working mod that doesn't really have any problems.
  6. Your best bet is to start learning to model yourself, or start reskinning the LA Mod. Seeing as you said you have all the time in the world, finding time to learn to model shouldn't be too difficult. Or you could start reskinning, show you can and you might get people willing to help once you've already made a start. You aren't likely to find too many people at the moment, because most of the people that can model etc. are currently working on mods already.
  7. Open Zmodeler, click 'File' in the top right hand corner. Then click 'Import' and find the file you want to open in the window that pops up.

  10. Have you installed the LA Mod in the right place? After you've installed the mod, you have to load it after starting the game. Open the game, go to the Mods menu and load the LA Mod, then you will be able to play the LA Mod. EDIT: I didn't see your second post. In the video at 0:55 it shows the install location. You might need to click browse at this point and install it to the right folder, if it doesn't automatically find it. And next time, Use the edit button and don't double post. It's against the rules
  11. Yes, Mods are supported on Windows XP. What exactly is the problem? What do you mean by you can't play mods?
  12. If I remember correctly, there is a script like that in the Coastal Rescue mod by dosedmonkey. If you press the normal exit vehicle button, two paramedics exit the vehicle, then there is another command that when pressed means a stretcher team leaves the vehicle.
  13. Welcome to the forum. The best place for you to start would be reskinning the LA Mod models, there is a tutorial explaining how to unlock the files and reskin here. You could also replace vehicles on the fire stations, but that is more difficult as it requires editing scripts. The tutorial for that can be found here if you're interested. If you then want to do more than just reskin models, the best thing to do is learn to model and create skins from scratch. If you're interested in making your own mod, I would also suggest reading this. If you start modelling, then decide you want to start a mod, people on here will be more willing to help than if you can't do anything. If you get stuck with anything, or need more help, there are plenty of help topics around the forum and i'm sure plenty of people will help should you have any problems.
  14. Open em4.cfg with notepad, and find the follwing lines, <var name="r_xres" value="1280" /> <var name="r_yres" value="960" /> Change the 1280 to 1024, and the 960 to 768, save it and close and the game should work.
  15. As far as I can remember, the LAFireStation.script includes the VcmdAlarm Command. You could try editing the LAFireStation script in the same way you edited the LAFireStationstart script.
  16. Play normal freeplay, not deluxe freeplay, and you will see the new map. I don't think the mod has a deluxe freeplay map so the standard one is loaded.
  17. There is a tutorial that explains how to convert sketchup models to .v3o here. Although it is much easier to just create the model in Zmodeler, a tutorial for that can be found here.

  20. They are all from the Czech Republic Mod (see here ) I took some screenshots from the editor, you can see this "mod" is just a reskin of the Czech mod.
  21. Welcome to the forum. The game freezing when the mod is loading is perfectly normal, you just need to be patient and let it load properly. It could take about 10 minutes or even more depending on your computer specs. Different mods take different times to load, for example, the manhattan mod or the winterberg mod will take longer to load than a mod that contains just a few models.
  22. What is the problem exactly? You can't install the mod or you can't load the mod to play it after you have installed it? You mean WinRAR.
  23. Welcome to the forums. The game freezing when the mod is loading is perfectly normal. You need to wait for the game to go back to the main menu, it could take 10 minutes or more depending on how good your computer is. The mods with a green wrench, that don't appear in the mods folder, are mods that have been uninstalled. They should disappear automatically, I can't quite remember how to remove them from the list when they don't.
