Emergency 5 Release date and screenshots!
randomperson139 replied to Stan's topic in News & Announcement
Just a heads-up, you put Emergency 4 in the title -
I'm sure .mesh was one of the file types that Zmodeler could import/export, I would have assumed that .mesh there would be the same file type that will be used in the new game.

Need help animating a rolling gate
randomperson139 replied to timmiej93's topic in Modding Related Support
There is a tutorial about animating model files here. Animating isn't something I have experience with, so I can't help you any further but that tutorial would probably be the best place to start. -
Los Angeles Mod Vehicle Set [STOPPED]
randomperson139 replied to itchboy's topic in Mod Development and Concepts
I haven't had any luck finding the model name of the lightbar, it doesn't seem to appear on the Code3 site either. -
Guys, let's keep it on topic. Any discussions that are unrelated can be taken to PM. @RD_Saarland: Welcome to the forum. Do you have any plans to upload your models here as well?

Memphis, Tennessee Modification (ON HOLD)
randomperson139 replied to FIREfighterjr's topic in Mod Development and Concepts
Good start. Just remember to credit the original author(s), and make sure you have permission if you plan to release publicly. -
Dude, give up! There's no need to ask the same question multiple times (3 times on this page, kinda bordering on spamming!), have you thought that bama may have chosen not to answer you. He may have already added it, or it might be that he doesn't want to tell you. You don't need to ask more than once. It just gets annoying, especially for the mod creators. I'll put it really simply for you - Ask again, and I'll warn you.

I believe that was always an issue with the Taser script from when it was first made, so as far as I know that isn't a problem with this mod specifically.

OK, the last actual update to this was way back in January, and Rafael (the original author) hasn't posted since then. I'm going to lock it for now, and if anyone in the original team has any updates, PM one of the staff and we'll reopen it for you.

[Working!] Policestation that functions like a Fire station
randomperson139 replied to Tim Derks's topic in Alteration Help
You know, I forgot about having to add some new VOs! It would allow personalisation as well, the VOs could be placed where ever the user wanted. That would work, but you'd be surprised at how little the majority on here are willing to do when it comes to things like this. -
[Working!] Policestation that functions like a Fire station
randomperson139 replied to Tim Derks's topic in Alteration Help
Sounds good. I wouldn't bother making a tutorial though, I would assume that it would be far too complicated for most people on here. It wouldn't really be worth spending the time writing it. Plus, most on here expect others to do everything for them. I can't imagine too many people would spend the time reading a tutorial and editing the script themselves. IF you were planning on sharing, IMO it would be much quicker and easier for you to just release the edited scripts, but that's up to you really. -
Seeing as there is now a release, moved to Mods Section.

Take a look around the forum, there are a few topics about traffic light timings around here. I can't give you a link right now, but I know there are a few around. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk

Something to remember if some new banners are being made, don't make them too big. The current one is bigger than needed really, have a look in the ToS for the acceptable sizes.

New downloads have to be checked and approved, so they won't appear until that has happened. NFK usually does this, so you'll need to wait for him to approve it before it can be downloaded from this site.

Just putting stars instead of the actual word doesn't make it OK. We all know you mean to swear. You've already been told about your attitude in the past, it's your choice really. Be nicer or face the consequences. Your post doesn't serve any purpose either. You shouldn't be playing moderator and telling him to cut it out, if you have an issue report it and we'll deal with it.

Kent (UK) Mod (Dev Release)
randomperson139 replied to Pottyscotty's topic in Early Access/Alpha Stage Modifications
No worries. Glad to be of help. Out of interest, what do you have by way of modding skills? Are you currently reskinning some units, or you capable of modelling your own? -

At the top of the page, you'll see a little envelope icon to the left of the sign out button and your username. If you click that it will show your inbox, you should also see "view all messages" and a "compose new" button. Clicking "View all Messages" brings up your Personal Messenger. -

Welcome to the forum. It's not a good idea to post your email address, I'd suggest asking people to PM you if they want to help. I've removed it from the post for you, feel free to re add it if you're not bothered about possible spam! Have you made any progress already, or are you literally just starting out? -
We don't need to be sent. Back to the topic, less of the arguing please guys. If you don't like something, report it, don't be starting arguments. However, people are entitled to their own opinion, whether you agree with it or not. Maybe offer constructive criticism? What made you think it's still in the Beta stages, or what could be done to improve it? Generally, people don't mind criticism but don't just say it's bad and leave it at that. As I said, suggest improvements but don't be rude about it, and remember that people are taking the time to try and make something for the community. Now, back to topic please and let's not have any more arguments

Every new mod (private or otherwise) topic has to start in the Development and Concepts section. If you're referring to the private mods already in the Mods section, they can stay where they are. It would take far too much time to go through and sort all the topics in that section of the forum.

Running game fullscreen, editor windowed
randomperson139 replied to Tim Derks's topic in Technical Related Support
When you open the editor, click "Game" in the top left corner and then Video Setup. You can uncheck the "full screen" box, although it reverts back to full screen when you close and reopen the editor so this has to be done every time. I don't know of any other way to make it run in windowed mode. EDIT: I was just looking in the config file (EM4.cfg or similar) and saw this line <var name="r_fullscreen" value="1" /> You could try changing that value, and see if that makes a difference. It may not, but worth a try? Remember to make a back up of the file before making any changes! -
Really? If you think it's dead, don't post. Especially as bumping dead topics is against the forum rules. Topic Closed. To the original author, PM one of the staff if you want it opening again.
