  1. Scripting isn't something I'm too familiar with, but I would be guessing there's likely to be errors in the script somewhere. Have you compared your version of the script with one that is 100% working (e,g the original LA Mod one)? The issue with not picking up the barricade, do the personnel have all the correct commands?
  2. I don't know if you would class them as takedown lights as such. I always associated "takedown lights" with front facing scene lights, which the ones on that ambo aren't. They will flash when 999 mode is activated, but as far as I'm aware those front white lights can't be turned on by themselves, so can't act as steady scene lights. This is the case for LAS anyway. Another thing to note, that ambo is LAS, and LAS have a different lighting setup to others. For example, a similar vehicle in YAS wouldn't have those white lights flashing at all. You will probably need to find SECAmb vehicles to get more accurate light patterns. It may turn out that we've been discussing lights that aren't used anyway! Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about any of the ambulance related stuff
  3. That's not my picture, I found that on google. I think it's from a SCAS HART Iveco Daily IIRC. It is the same system that is found in standard Sprinter Ambulances, and I believe most emergency vehicles now. In LAS, we just have the top panel (slightly different layout), exactly the same system just a few less buttons. I would suggest going with the ones I mentioned earlier, enough for realism in that they're generally the only options used. And still not too many so that it's not going to make everything complicated and too cluttered.
  4. Yep, the white lights you see on the ambo in that vid do come on when 999 mode is activated, and go off if arrival mode gets pressed. For simplicity, I would go with having 999 mode (standard blues), then a rear reds button and then a button for side lights, alley lights or whatever you want to call them. You could also include arrival mode, I suppose, which leaves corner blues on and activates rear reds. Usually we have a panel that looks like this Buttons are fairly self explanatory. Side note, generally it's only the top panel from the picture, the bottom panel is an extra here!
  5. I imagine the links being referred to are the ones in the first post, which state they are called setup.exe.
  6. Without wanting to take this off topic, I would assume EMS in NYC would be just like this country in being incredibly busy? Certainly in the majority of the UK, we don't have time to return to base or standby points. It is simply drop off one pt and then get another job as soon as you press the available button.... I don't know about NY, but the reason you see ambos "sitting" at hospital here, is generally because of delays handing over... I would guess the same applies in NYC.
  7. As I've said before, if there's any updates I'm sure they'll get posted. Although, I wouldn't expect anything anytime soon. Neither I believe mintcake is the only one working on this now and he hasn't been online for a while now. There's not really any point keeping this open, just for a few people to ask about updates repeatedly. Mintcake (or sniped), PM me when you return and I'll reopen the topic for you.
  8. Guys, if you want to discuss your careers, do it via PM please. Actually, seeing as this is on hold I'm gonna lock the topic for now. PM one of us when work resumes.
  9. No, this does not get asked on here. You should be familiar with the ToS given the fact you will have agreed to them when you joined... You've received the standard punishment. And the second thing, your post saying OK was useless. Try and avoid useless posts in future.
  10. Are you actually serious? This will be definitely be a contender for the most pointless topic this year... Closed, if you decide to do this again, PM one of us and we'll reopen the topic. Don't go and start another topic the next time you decide you want to attempt a mod.
  11. If you have an issue with something that has been posted, please report it and we'll deal with it.
  12. If you do have copies let us know which you do have, and we'll try and sort them out.
  13. We do try and check whether or not the files are actually broken. If the files are fine the broken file flags are removed.
  14. Just a word of warning for you. I see this as asking to test the mod, which is against the rules. Something for you to remember in future. See Section 5 ofthe ToS:
  15. It was always private. It's based on Welfordshire, and no one can release submods for that. I think it's safe to assume it's stopped for now. The last post from the author in this topic was back in September. To the original author, I'll close it for now PM one of us if you want it open again.
  16. Have you edited the traits and made it a fire vehicle? As far as I can remember, if the vehicle type is on the default (can't remember the wording) the lights don't show.
  17. SRG is a new Strategic Response Group (I think?). I believe going to be primarily a counter terrorism unit. Someone else may have more info on this. I assume by ETU you mean ESU which is the Emergency Service Unit, a specialist part of the NYPD which respond to a variety of calls, police and otherwise. Plenty of information about the ESU can be found if you google it.
  18. Even in parts of the UK, you can be further than 30 mins from the nearest hospital. Where I used to be, in not particularly rural Yorkshire, one hospital was about 30 mins in one direction and another was 45 mins in the other. And this wasn't even a very rural area.
  19. rcpd100123xx: You've already been warned about advertising your mod in other topics. You've just received another warning since you clearly didn't pay attention last time. Going back to topic: I would suggest reading this. Did you make the rear of that truck?
  20. It's up to the author what is or isn't included. Please avoid demanding certain vehicles, it probably wasn't your intention but it just sounds rude. If you want to be able to choose the contents of the mod, go and work on your own.
  21. There would be no point in adding anything like this (whatever this is, not heard of it?) because it would serve no purpose in the game. It's not worth the time adding something that has no function IMO. There's so many units from around London that could be included. That'll be up to Mintcake to decide. If you're particularly bothered, you could add your own extra units to the mod. There's plenty of tutorials around the site.
  22. Nice use of Google Translate... Mein Deutsch ist nicht mehr sehr gut, aber ja, the models can be edited provided original authors are credited and mentioned when pics are posted. And then also a bit about the model apparently looking better in blue than it does in red... The German bit should say "my German isn't very good anymore, but yes", someone feel free to correct it if it's wrong!
  23. The only time it is acceptable to post more than once in a row is when you are posting updates to the mod. The rest of the time, the edit button or multiquote function should be used. Understand?
  24. You can answer other people, that isn't what I said! What I said was if you're only replying to other people, not to double post. Use the multiquote function, or the edit button.
  25. Ok, I've told you this multiple times now. Double posting isn't allowed. We give you some leeway with mod updates, but none of the last 3 posts are updates, they're all replying to other comments. This is the last time, next time it's not a mod update and you double post you'll be warned. Also, as a side note, 4 posts in a row isn't really necessary. Even if you do have more updates, you can still add them to the previous post. As I said we do give some leeway, but 4 in a row is just excessive.
