  1. At this stage, we have no plans to have this kind of command in the mod. But it may come with later releases!. However the mod will have 'change clothes' script. Where FF's are able to change into incident commander, BA entry control, sector commander, safety officer, command support, gas tight suits etc....The same will apply to paramedics who will be able to change into hi-vis, HART can change in to B.A etc... Apologies for the lack of updates from myself lately, for those of you who don't know my full time job is with the emergency services, so the shifts take up 5 days of my week! There is plenty going on behind the scenes. Thanks everyone for your continued support!
  2. Hehe they lasted a few months. They were a cancelled order from an airfield in Scotland, so WMFS got them cheap!.They were based at Hay Mills & Dudley stations, and the local kids clocked onto the fact that the water cannon was amazing, so there was a rise in small fires in the area so they could see the water monitor in use :/ They were crewed by 3 FF's. We'll see how the poll goes and go by that! Just spoke to e34p. The retained script is you can call 3 FF's, a Crew Commander & Watch Commander. But there is no limit on how many times you can press the button, so you can call as many FF's as you wish for each call! The fire engines will have room for 6 persons.
  3. You're lucky to have 4 on the run at my local retained station. They're off the run most of the time! Same with most retained stations these days!
  4. We're reviewing the Volvo at the moment, and will possibly change it to a M.A.N style pump. Police officers will hopefuly have Tasers. We hope to use the script from the Queensland mod, which we believe the owner has given permission for anyone to use! We are contemplating (and we'd like some imput from everyone) about putting a water cannon ontop of the water carrier. Its very rare to have UK appliances (outside of an airport) to have a water cannon on the roof. Whilst we are going for realism with our mod, we also have to think about the practicality when playing the mod. So thoughts please? I've started a poll! *edit - yes FF's will be able to take hoses into buildings

Another little update. - Welfordshire F&RS Command Support Unit (can be called off map) - Welfordshire Ambulance Service Rapid Response Vehicle which will be based on the map Also after a discussion with e34p tonight, we've agreed on what ambulance service resources we shall have on the map; - 1 Community Paramedic post, with 1x Rapid Response Vehicle - 2 Community First Responders, one in each town, Welford and Rambleside - Standby points for Ambulances around the map, possibly 1 at each fire station, and at the Community Paramedic station. The Paramedic for the map will be an advanced para, who will be able to discharge patients at scene.
  6. We may include SJA in the mod. But 'SJA retained' wouldnt be realistic at all!. We plan to have a full time ambulance station, with an RRV and maybe 2 DCA's. There will also be a CFR (maybe 2) on the map. We may go for the way things are being done now of having rural community paramedic posts. Where an RRV is always based and crewed by an advanced para. We are looking to use the discharge at scene script so not every patient has to go to hospital!. Should have a few more screens tonight
  7. Not sure yet about the limited water supply. Its defintley something we'd like to do. The fire service will be a decent size. We'll release more info on that soon
  8. We are planning 2 retained stations on the map. The map is based on two rural towns, so we feel that 2 retained stations is quite fitting for this. We plan to also have 1 police station and 1 ambulance station.

  10. Tech's in London can work for HART. Also one of the only HART teams that allow EMT's to use EZ-IO's is LAS.

  14. Welfordshire Mod - By scrivs & e34p. Welfordshire, a fictitious county, is very rural, with many small farming towns, mountainous terrain, and like any large county it has its share of larger towns. This mod will focus upto the emergency services of Welfordshire including, Fire & Rescue, Ambulance, Police and Mountain Rescue. An complete new freeplay map is currently in progress by e34p, who is putting in a wealth of work and experience to put this mod together. A special thanks goes to RedHawk504, for giving us kind permission to use part of one of his models, to create our fire engine. He has kindly donated the rear bodywork of the Scania fire engine (pictured). We are making good progress with skins, scripts and the map. Updates to follow….   16. A BMW driver crashes into a stationary van at traffic lights. The driver of the BMW is trapped. Fire crews remove the roof of the vehicle to aid extrication, as the male is complaning of neck and back tenderness. The driver of the van is also immobilised as he is also complaining of neck pains. (pictures for some reason havent loaded in order)
  17. AMAZING!!! better than I thought it was going to be. Top work!! Just a few minor bugs, paramedic script error for heal, also I had about 15 car accidents all appear at once?! (is that meant to happen ) Other than that its brilliant!!
  18. Download paint.net so you can open the .dds files. Or download a .dds converter.

  21. If you saved it as map2a, you wont be able to play it. It needs to be saved as the type of game you want to play it with. So freeplay, campaign, multuplayer, then missions are m01, m02 etc.... So just open that map2a, and save it as freeplay.
  22. If you're editing a map, and want to use it as a freeplay map, make sure you save the map over the freeplay in the editor. But always make sure you backup the files from the em4 folder on your computer (anything that is freeplay...) If you want to make you're own maps, you'll need something like paintshop to actually create the ground texture. Or start by downloading the map textures from the download section on this site and editing them to your liking.
