  1. emergency-wiki.de had the various types and descriptions about scripting for emergency. I saw this and planned to translate each page and download it. Unfortunately, it is now either under construction or just gone for good. Where can I find a resource to do the scripts? Similar to knowing when programming c# or VB and you KNOW you have variable.tostring() method. Where is the resource to know the various methods and types in order to script? I can make out what some of the scripts are doing and how they work, but I really want to experiment in this area and I'm looking for something to assist me. I know it exist. Just looking for someone who can point me to it since the site I was going to use no longer exist. Thanks!

    I'm trying to experiment with scripting... coding... A tutorial I downloaded included some references such as Action Types ACTION_APPEND, ACTION_NEWLIST, ACTION_ASSIST, etc... However, I know there is more to it because I saw it on a site. emergency-wiki.de but the site is under rescontruction. The link is also in the tutorial document I downloaded. So I'm trying to figure out if anyone else has the information. Maybe you refer to them as class libraries. I'm not sure. The terminology always changes as well as the scope of the meaning. Thanks!

    Since you guys are experienced... where do you get the code references? I saw one emergency-wiki.de or something like that, but it has been under construction now for ever. It included the references such as the various ACTION_TYPES etc... The tutorial touches on this along with GAMEOBJECT but this site had it all documented. I want to look at it to experiement with a few things to see how easy/hard/limited it is to do things. Then I will determine to do a Mod. Oh... and I'd say downtown DC would be nice. You have all kinds of demonstrations you could have. Not to mention the various vehicles with the police, marked secret service, the unmarked secret service, etc... The editor. I read somewhere where you can snapshot from overhead the map by turning certain things on/off to stop it from disappearing. If anyone has the link to that or know how to please let me know.
  4. I noticed this too at first. But since I fixed the illegal demonstrations and even added one I've seen more incidents occur. The suicide is only at the water. The next thing I want to look into is the hostage incident. This might be a simple xml tweak, but it also may require just placing someone else within the event because there never is a hostage involved. Just someone with a gun which of course makes it really easy. I also will look to take out the code that removes the paramedics from the ambulances that park at the hospital AFTER they finish a call. They shouldn't depend on a firestation alarm to get people.
  5. Thanks Norm. I tried what you suggested and it worked fine. I do think the script should have taken this into account so this doesn't happen though. Also, the rappels stay in the air as the helicopter moves away. It would be nice if they automatically drop off when the helicopter moves, but I'll look into the scripting and see what is going on. I've been trying to post but I couldn't login for some reason even after resetting. But I'm finally back in. Unfortunately, a site that was a great resource for the scripting has been under reconstruction for a while now. This defined the various parameters and methods involved in the scripts. Does anyone know where I can get this? I understand the setup of the scripts, but some of the definitions need to be known in order to work some things. I was able to get the illegal demonstrations going in v1.9 . I want to work on some traffic issues that might be... might be... avoidable. I want to work on a slightly different way of calling other units.
  6. Exactly. From another response it appears someone has already done this in another Mod. I want to get to the animation because it would be nice to deploy the Paramedic and have the ONE Paramedic handle the stretcher to the scene. This way you can (attach/hitch) the other paramedic to the stretcher when necessary and pickup the victim. I thought I saw someone do this in a youtube video of another MOD. I'm not sure. I'd also like to have 2 versions to mix and match that via script the game would know which animation to use. ie.... 2 stretcher carriers dressed as paramedics (exist now), 2 stretcher carriers dressed as firefighters, 2 stretcher carriers 1 dressed as paramedics the other dressed as fire fighter. This would eliminate the sudden change in clothes and be a smoother transition, IF... the game permits us to do so. I'm going to look into scripting exiting a vehicle with a patient or prisoner without them. Again, a seperate button would be nice. This may work for police, but not a stretcher crew. But maybe we don't want to do that because who leaves an injuried body on an Ambulance unattended. I like the engineer floodlight being directional. Hopefully, future MOD makers will expand on that. ie... rescue truck, the big ambulance with the flood light, Since the Captain remains in the trucks, why not offer his commands when selecting the vehicle? As long as he is in there it would be nice to be able to call other units from the vehicle rather than removing him. I'd actually like this for every vehicle depending on who is in there. I don't know. I looked on the map and found the vehicle and the path for the vehicle theft in LA Mode 2.1. I just never see it happen and it is enabled. Illegal demonstration happens in 2.1. I haven't checked to see if there is a virtual spot for illegal demonstration in 1.93. So I will double back on that. Rappel Issue... I know this normally wouldn't happen, but when I use this feature to send 4 people down they got stuck on the ground and I couldn't move them. I could command them to do other things, except move. More than likely because I dropped 2 down and didn't move them and then dropped the other 2 in the same space right behind them. I had to wound one of each to unglue the other guy. Don't worry. I didn't kill them. Lol. Anyway... I'm enjoying the MOD. I do miss the dispatch to illegal demonstration, so I will see if that is on the map.
  7. Nice Mod. I love the idea of being able to simulate calling other groups, police, fire, ambulance to a call. I try to play it that way rather than sending everyone all at once. I play freeplayendless. I know how to edit the xml and all. But here are some questions. 1) Illegal Demonstration - Does this mod have it? My settings are the same as before, I made sure, and I have yet to see it and it has been a few weeks now. 2) Car Theft - Does this mod have it? Again, I have yet to see this. I didn't see it in the La Mod 2.1 either. The XML enable="1" so they are enabled in the freeplayendless file. Is there somewhere else where this could be disabled? How do I get to the animations? Or is that available only through the editor? I would like to toss out and idea. This is something I'm working on to tweak some commands. I like what you did with the deploy feature, but I plan to have more than one deploy option. Example: Ambulance. I plan to work in a script that will deploy a stretcher team with the stretcher or as two seperate paramedics. The same with two paramedics. I will be able to deply them as seperate or as a paramedic with a stretcher. Being able to get to the animations and modify them is key for some ideas I have. Any help with the above will be appreciated. Oh... and I think I experienced the same issue as someone else on here with the the rifle. The game crashed on me as well in the same scenario with the hostage near the plaza.
  8. Shane.... Great ideas with this submod and how you configured the parking as well as the paramedics with the ambulance. I'm looking into seeing if I have the time to put into doing a MOD. I'm addicted to this game and ideas are overflowing. Nice to see some one else was thinking along the same lines. I'll have to download this. I'm not sure if anyone has looked into this, but a paramedic with a stretcher is actually two seats, but it takes up one seat. Load up any ambulance, helicopter or mass casualty unit up with multiple paramedic with a stretcher and you get twice the number once deployed and they drop the stretcher.
