  1. I think I have a foxfury 10, its ok for interior and works GREAT for scene lighting. I use it on night wrecks all the time. Remember less is more, you want to have all the material you need to do your job but you don't need to be the departments newest Rescue truck.
  2. Perhaps someone somewhere should compile a list of DIFFERENT medical calls or at least different names, I'm getting pretty sick of just having stroke, heart attack and food poisoning. What about: Poisoning (Child) Overdose (adult) Generalized Weakness Flu/illness Headache Low blood sugar Abdominal Pain Difficulty Breathing Altered Mental Status Seizure Altered Mental Status with Facial Droop and Slurred Speech (Stroke) Chest Pain Allergic Reaction Unresponsive person Fall from: Ladder, roof, stairs, car (patient is on blood thinners) Alcohol Poisoning Unknown Medical (Could be anything) Now most of these wouldn't require anything different but a name change in the dispatch, remember that neither dispatch or EMTs/Paramedics do diagnosis in the field so they would be dispatched for "chest pain" instead of "possible heart attack".
  3. Could we do something with multiple criminals at once? Like a fight where you have to arrest both the subjects or a 2 or 3 person bank robbery? "Catching them one criminal at a time" may be a cool motto but it seems a little unrealistic after a while.
  4. Helmet light! Most wonderful investment was a foxfuryhelmet light (my department made them standard issue after I already bought my own ) You should also take 5 or so pairs of medical gloves and stash them in one of your pockets, especially if you're department does wrecks or medicals as structure gloves don't provide BSI.
  5. I'm in the market for a new laptop, ideally under $1,000. I need this laptop to be able to handle a fair amount of internet traffic (tumblr), do the usual business oriented kinda stuff (Microsoft Office) and play newer games like Simcity 5 and the newer mods for Emergency 4 and Sins of a Solar Empire. Now here is where I need you guys: I am a simple man, installing a Emergency 4 mod is about the extent of my technical abilities (Sins almost killed me lol) so anything that requires removing the stock laptop components and replacing them on my own is out. If you guys would post suggestions on here I'll check them out and then make a short list to pick from. Thanks
  6. Oh thank you. On a different note: What's next bama? If anything.
  7. The games does NOT like it when you call the ATF, I tried calling the ATF patrol car once and the ATF command post once and it crashed it both times.
  8. Are you using the rapid deploy button?
  9. Any chance of getting emergency lights on the volunteer firefighter POVs? And maybe a command or two for the volunteers before they gear up?
  10. I know this is from a while back but this v is called "relay pumping", everything looks great though and I'm eager for the update!
  11. I really like it, since I like to play realistically and I live in a tiny town (1 cop) it reminds me of home. I did cheat already and called a USCG helicopter for a diver lol, because that totally happens in Rural Montana.
  12. Got it installed, excellent job!!
  13. I'll just wait till bama gets the patch corrected.
  14. Sadly in the US its relatively easy for police departments to get assault vehicles from the government but they can't get any grants to hire additional officers. You want a tank? Sure! You want to increase manpower and routine patrols? lol sorry bro, no money.
  15. Most ambulances don't carry more than 1 or 2 backboards anyway.
  16. True, however I think the reason for it being against the TOS on here is that it keeps hundreds of people from cluttering up each thread with "when will it be released" every 5 posts. What you CAN do is ask something like this: "Hey Bama, what all will this patch fix" And maybe he'll answer and maybe he won't.
  17. I'm Midwest America lol, whole lotta nothing out here. Its even worse out west in some places.
  18. In my area the fire departments run EMR level response in their fire districts, the EMRs get to scene and basically do what's needed to keep the patient alive until the ambulance gets there, they also provide vitals over the radio to the ambulance. We have one ambulance in our county and its not unusual to be on-scene 20-30 minutes before the ambulance arrives. All our ambulances are provided by the private hospital and run with one EMT-B and Paramedic. As you've probably guessed we fly a LOT of people out due to long times to the hospital. Our closest hospital has only 6 ER rooms and does not have a surgeon on call 24/7 so most of the time they take a patient to one of the hospital that are farther away. Since we fly so many people each town has at least one helipad, usually at the fire station.
  19. Now I may be wrong here but wouldn't it make FAR more sense to just fill water cannon vehicles (if NYPD even has any) from a fire hydrant?
  20. Good Personally I HATE scanners and don't like people using them but it will add to the realism here.
  21. Also the rotors on the military blackhawk don't move.
