Yeah we do have mcdonalds. A trade union is what i mean, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trade_union . Anyone can join the GMB Union ( http://www.gmb.org.uk/ ) so an employee ofmcdonalds could be a member of the GMB, and if they were spoken to like that then the Union would support the employee with advice, support and various other ways. Very strong ally in the workplace.

Being a doorman (bouncer) i deal with incidents like that nightly. As its mcdonalds i think you should contact a solicitor/lawyer and ask them to request the tapes are kept and/or reviewed as from the sounds of it the manager wont listen to you if you yourself ask him as he would have viewed the cctv and seen what happened straight away else, you were right (in my opinion) in what you did with the redneck, i have tolerated less. If things went as you say then you shouldnt have a problem at all. Are you part of any union? i dont know how it works in the US but over here in blighty, if a manager spoke to someone like that who was part of a Union they would be at a tribunal of some sorts in no time as it was out of order. From the managers point of view it is easier to take verbal from customer and give them what they want and then give you grief and vent their frustration on you rather than to stand up to the customer as you will likely stand there and take it whereas police would likely have to be called to deal with the customer and management dont want that. I offer that advice as something i would probably do to start with, im no lawyer.

Thanks for the reply. What i have been doing is retexturing personel and vehicles to my liking, for personal use i might add, i have no intention of 'stealing' anyones work. I altered LA Mods FBI w/tac vest to be more like a UK police constable, altered LA Motorcylcle officer to be more like public order officers and Territorial Support Group officers, also edited the vans in the england mod to be more to my taste. Public order officers asemble before attending a protest, area officers provide vehicle redirection Public order officers in line formation at protest with vans TSG officers surverying scene, vans and Public Order Incident Support Unit vans on scene. Have window grill on front of van but is just on texture, zmodeler being funny but will add grill as mesh when i can. References As hoppahs swat officers are able to use shields i guess its possible to equip officers with Public Order shields too.

Did anyone have a solution to the crashing? I am trying a new model+skin for something else. Edit: It had something to do with the model path this time. In the editor, it showed up as a box. So i went into edit and set the proper path to the model, and now the model is in but is white (blank). Am now lost again. 2nd edit: i rolled back to when i could see it in th editor, so skin etc is fine now, cant see what i did wrong but all i can guess is that it was something to do with renaming the guy in the numerous txt files. Still crashes when i click on the vehicle to deploy it from the vehicle tutorial ( http://www.emergency-planet.com/index.php?...0&Itemid=35 that was probably the problem for the textures, i didnt think to check they were still associated

ive wanted to make that sorta game for ages now but dont know enough to start. can do 3d stuff but suck at coding till i make time to learn it.

in answer to the original question, in my opinion if there are for instance 10 officers with guns drawn and one suspect with a gun, the suspect raises the gun and each of the 10 officers feel threatened and fire one shot each, that would be a hail of gunfire. It doesnt just mean someone empties their mag. In some cases officers would shoot until the threat is over, resulting in multiple shots per individual maybe. thats my opinion. not an expert.

i tried that and it took the zombie a while to make a kill, but it worked. For those experienced in the modding side, is it possible to mod police so they open fire automatically, like overwatch? So maybe you setup a barricade and if a zombie approached it, they opened fire? Been a while since i fiddled with the editor and dont remember much that i learnt, which wasnt alot to start with lol.

i have been inadvertantly hit with the UK police sprays whilst restraining violent offenders and it isn't pleasant, i think (i dont know) that the US spray is more potent?

thats awesome , that the k-9 unit

guns are illegal in the uk without a licence (which is really difficult to get and are not common), but the wrong people still get the guns whenever they want them. making it illegal wont help much at all, itll just stop lawabiding people from defending themselves against those who have the guns, as has happened in uk.

thanks for the replies, ill do the ss when i get back from work. just to be clear, i havnt really done anything except added 3 gold stripes to the officers arm and renamed him to a supervisor, so this is still the basic lapd officer from the mod. I doubt this would be a submod, due to the fact that its purpose would only be for the sake of having a police supervisor, i dont think it really adds anything to the game other than asthetic and possibly part-realism. i believe i have already copied the prototype so i dont see thatll help, but i also think i may start again as i have learnt, obviously, since i started meddling! the only thing i can really make it stand out from the other units is to have it be able to call more of a choice of other emergency vehicles (like the fire chief and i believe ems supervisor does although i havnt tried the ems one). i was wondering if you could make it so you had to use the supervisor to be able to call the FBI, which would make sense to me for him to do but i dont know if thatd work ingame yet.

Hi guys, I put this here as i think it is nto specifically about the la mod, although it is what i am using, i believe its applicable to non la modding too. I wanted to play around and do something with the editor so i decided on making a seperate LAPD officer as a Supervisor. I followed the vehicle tutorial that is posted up here and obviously changed a little in order to fit with a person as opposed to vehicle. And from what i can see i have followed it appropriately. I can get as far as calling the unit in the SUV out and exiting him from the vehicle but when i click on him the game crashes. everytime. I believe it may be something to do with the physics. As you can see in the pics below, the normal officer had red boxes around him and Bodies listed below whereas my modded guy doesnt. Can anyone tell me how to fix this (if this is the problem) as i have drawn a blank. As a sidenote, this is just a messaround personal modification for myself.

I found these just now when looking around youtube. They are scale models of vehicles with lights and sirens. I found it interesting to look through, maybe some of you will too. http://www.youtube.com/user/jaimeanaya

even i think hesounds odd in places, and im uk! Sometimes he sounds australian. i think the voice actor was not british, possibly american which could explain the occasional slip of accent.

I know what your saying and its a valid opinion, but modding takes more than just model making. So, in my view, if someone wants to make a mod but has no 3d skills then this will help them take a step towards realising their mod. Models made by this method will normally need some sort of tweaking anyway, as its a program with no real artistic intelligence or sense of wether the final result is correct or not, its just forming a model from data. It cant stop anyone from making a mod so therefore all youll get is more people who will make more mods, which is always good i think. Those that take the time to make the models themselves will always make better models than a program like this can do (if they are competent with 3d programs) and they will get recognised and praised for it. Some scripters, mappers and people with mod ideas either cant get to grips with 3d applications or they dont have any, so therefore this would help them in that respect. But thats my opinion, hope it makes sense

-i dont think an outdoor pic would be problematic mate, as long as you cut it out from the back ground(like in the vid) so it is the only thing there and as long as its not obstructed. for example this is probably ok but this wont be -it saves the models to .3ds so you can open it with max and export as whatever it is you need for zmodeller (i read what to do somewhere on here but cant recall, im sure you know) and the result is obviously editable in your desired program so can be tweaked if tehre was mistakes, but the bulk of the model would be done. However, the program needs several different angles of the subject, so getting those shots will, as you say, be awkward at best. But it was a suggestion for you guys of a way to do it.

1 - I presume you mean can you use Strata photo 3d on windows, the answer is yes it is also for windows, the video shows it on a mac, but that was just for sake of me posting a video to show what i meant and what the program did. 2 - i think your referring to the photoshop plugin, you dont need to use the plugin, the program i used was older though, and you were able to save to a folder. so you can use cs2 but i dont know if the plugin would work. not really sure mate. 3 - Yeah i agree its a problem unless you get a toy model replica fire engine? but getting the specific one you need is awkward and would mean spending money. Also that is why i mentioned mikesphotos, i cant seem to get on the site right now, comes up with page error so i havnt seen it, but from what i read on the forum he has quite a collection. 4 - It doesnt need to be stagelit or anything, just a decent clear set of photos. The video shows them cut the figure they wanted out of the original picture and have a white background so i guess thats the easiest way to give it a white background. As long as the pictures clear (daytime, few shadows, focused etc) should be easy enough for the program to distinguish angles and edges etc. Does that help? Also, by the way, the new version of this is nearly $500 so as said in previous posts, software like this is expensive.

Hi guys, i thought i could contribute here (sorry for using an old thread!) There is a program that can help for this way of modelling called > Strata Foto 3D < Example Theoretically, if you guys had suffiecient photos of an object (vehicle in this case) then this program would really help e4 modellers with new vehicles. I guess MikesPhotos could help with that, i dont know. Hope this was useful to someone.
