  1. No need to be mysterious. That's basic stuff, just calculate a new position, based on the actual one. Check if it's blocked, if it's free, let the vehicle go there and put it back on its path after X seconds. If the position is blocked, try another one. Someone on the german forum did that one or two years ago, and I rewrote the whole thing from scratch, working in a different way, a couple of months ago, civil cars that pull over is nothing special anymore.
  2. Never noticed that at all. Maybe they have. We already fixed that. But we do not see any reason to update the pictures at the moment. There is more important work. But to let you know, this aspect is already fixed.
  3. Then you should write posts that make sense. can mean all and nothing. How should anybody get what you mean by reading this post? All the information that is public is on the first page. It does not help you to know if we work on model A or B, on script X or Y or whatever. We already show everything we want to show, there is absolutely no need to ask for any update.

  5. That's correct, we base our gameplay on a mission. Information on how this works can be found in our old topic. No, we keep our lists and everything else intern, as the information given in all that documents would be heavily misinterpreted by most of the people, because most of them do not know which task takes the most time and how important it is for the mod. So to save us trouble, we do not publish this information.
  6. Advanced? No way This is simple linear equation stuff, nothing advanced there, basic things everybody learns at school.
  7. At the moment horizontal ventilation is not implemented. I am testing some concepts, but until now, none of them made me really happy. I keep on working on that, and I will try to include horizontal ventilation as well It does have an effect. It increases the effectiveness of fire fighting, compared to a non ventilated building.

I saw that video yesterday, and was thinking of the same idea We will have some eastereggs for sure, who knows what will be there Trust me, all the "little scripts" run on a base of a huge mission script, which is freaking much work. Why long time effort? That's simplest math stuff, everybody can do this, it's just some creativity to do this.

  10. Give us some time, we will fix that I can tell you, I'm not satisfied with the original stretcher system. You can expect something new.
  11. The system won't be as detailed as the RTS one. How should it work? You fight fires, have numerous victims, and everyone needs to be treated like in the RTS mod?! No way, no one can manage that.
  12. Of course this is not a nice way to state any critics, but honestly guys, how shall they improve their work, if everyone's saying "great work!" "awesome" "looks great!" if it is not? I really do not want to bash anyone, but most of the models just aren't "awesome". The proportions do not fit. The driver's cab is way too long 2. The virtual model is way too "curved" 3. The headlights are way too big, they go all the way down... Concerning the other models: -The station's skin is just one brown shade, the gates are copied from a real photo. That does not work, it's hard to mix hand-painted skin with photorealistic ones, but do not paint the whole building brown, and put a very tiny part of photos on it. -Most of your unit's skins are mirror-inverted -The models are too "boxy", they need some details I do not expect perfect work, it's just a matter of training, but give them a chance to improve! If you always say "whoa, perfect!" they'll never improve, 'cause they think there's no need for it. Tell them what's wrong, what could be improved, constructive critic is the best thing you can get as a modder!

  15. The events are hardcoded and cannot be changend in another way than changing the "open" parameters.

  17. I'm working on the car tuning system right now. But I'm not at home the next week, so there will be some videos on the 6.3.2010, I think, but I can not promise that!
  18. Some time ago I worked on a Zombie-mod. Something like "28 days later". But unfortunately I never finished my work on this, and now there are more important projects. But who knows, maybe some day this mod will be released
  19. Concerning the units, I don't really care if they are US, British, French, Spanish, German or whatever. It takes 5 minutes to change the models, if you don't like them, change them Yep Although I'm not sure which weapons will be included. You should get used to it edit: Oh, and by the way, I'll release this mod before everything is included. So I'll change my strategy compared to the NY mod. Once the first district is done, and the most important features are included, I will release a "0.x" version.

  22. You will control everything with the usual EM4 Interface. There will be some new interfaces of course, but you will get the hang of it easily. There will be different tasks, and you should find out on yourself how to accomplish them
  23. That's something I did not decide on,yet. It can be changed in 5 minutes, as it is regardless which visual models are used. I can use the standard EM4 units, or use something else. If someone wants to recommend models, feel free to do that. The thieves tale was my inspiration for that. Nevertheless, I won't use it in any way, I want to create something completely new.

Who is Dave Black, and what is this all about? Dave Black is the main character of this mod. And YOU are Dave Black. Dave is a nameless criminal, and he wants to reach the top of his league. So, get into Dave's everyday-life and do whatever it takes to become a rich and famous person. What? You do not save people, you are a criminal? Yes, this mod is not the same as the original Emergency. Of course you still have contact to police, ambulance and fire departments, but now you are on the other side! What features does this mod offer? Many. A little impression: Steal cars break ins Numerous districts, all connected to each other, and playable without restarting the game use a taxi to get around buy a plane ticket and relax in the sun use your mobile phone to call the police, ambulance, fire department, pizza, your friends or your family Steve: He's Dave's brother. Call him if you think you need help. He can take care of the cops, while you grab some nice TV sets out of the shelf buy cars (put them into your garage to save them ) SAVE YOUR GAME! a new way to save data makes it possible to save your progress! car tuning (give it some nitro, or plant a bomb in it) and many more Play in a dynamic environment! If you break into a shop, and the alarm goes off, be sure to get away before the cops arrive. If they see you, they'll hunt you. And they can call additional units. And you don't want that to happen... Grab some food in a fast food restaurant, or at a snack bar. It will increase your health... No snack bar in sight? Call an ambulance. Grab your mobile phone and dial 911. They always help you. Any fire in sight? Call the fire department, they'll respond to your call at any time. Being under pressure of some other criminal groups?
