aussie firie replied to Xplorer4x4's topic in Submods [Not released]
would you consider releasing it to the community so it can be worked on by every 1? just an idea, Cheers -
I have the same problem, I have installed the game, and then opened the Resources folder, and copied the contents to the mod folder, but still nothing. I'd post a crash log but it doesn't give any. Cheers

LA Mod 4x4 w00ds Map v1 Submod Preview
aussie firie replied to Xplorer4x4's topic in Submods [Not released]
My only idea is for fire fighters to have a DSU (pass alarm) go off when a firie is down and a radio message when a cop goes down. Thoughts? Cheers -
I am curious, TUT or TIM have you created a script that allows a smoke condition in a structure, so in affect you actually have to search it for both fire and victims or just walk in and put them out and pick them up? Cheers

we know you guys are adding lots of different calls and editing the way they run (venting, using cutters as well as spreaders, different medical system) etc etc. Just wondering if you are changing the way that HAZMATS run. For example using gas detectors, HAZ bins, decon showers, etc etc, instead of just a hazmat tent like current system uses? cheers
-
@Tim awesome thanks for the reply goodluck with the scripts Cheers

Just a question for the mod team We know there is vertical ventilation but will there be horizontal as well? Also will ventilation actually have an effect on the fire or will it be purely cosmetic? Cheers

The Largest Fire Department in the World.
aussie firie replied to Commander Rasseru's topic in [EN] Off Topic
I see your point. The 70,000 inculdes comm's officers, catering, firies, etc. We don't have to many paid people. But all firefighters are volunteers. -

We always used to say we were, with 70,000 volunteers. But we are a state service. This came from their website... There are 2,100 rural fire brigades in NSW made up of just over 70,000 volunteers who provide emergency services to over 95 percent of NSW (2005-2006 Annual Report figures.) (http://www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/dsp_content.cfm?cat_id=1245) i couldn't find the numbers on tokyo though -
Hi guy's i've got alot of questions for american firefighters. In movies they seem to respond ladder trucks to everything. I realise that every county/district but i was curious as a general rule of thumb. I was also curious how often do you vertically ventilate? Or is it just a big put on in the movies? I know over here in australia (or at least in the services i've been involved in) vertical ventilation is quite frowned upon. Espically when there are ram fans!!! But there is no right or wrong just curious. And why is the ambulance/ fire service combined in america. What other countries are they like that in? Downunder they are split into there own seperate stations etc. Also why do your fire trucks and ambos only have red and orange/yellow lights??? I've always wondered that. Final question what other countries have state fire and rescue or even federal run? Just curious sorry for the long post, and sorry for some of the stupid questions Aussie firie
