  1. ***SOLVED*** If anyone has this issue, Here's how to fix it, When you re-install the game you need to re-name the installation folder in C: drive e.g I changed the install location folder from 'Wizard Works' to 'Wizard Works1' instead. For some stupid reason this did the trick! I'm not sure of the exact reason I needed to do this, But somehow the game keeps hidden files stored somewhere on your hard drive and doesn't delete them even if you un-install the game.... It remembered everything I did to the maps and no matter how many times I checked and re-checked that all folders/files were deleted from my computer it kept all the changes I made Caused me 2 bloody weeks of frustration lol. I don't know if it has anything to do with my computer spec's as I do have Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit? I know it wouldn't be my performance as I'm packing 8GB DDR3 1600mhz Ram, 2nd Gen i7 .4ghz processor and Radeon 6950 2GB Graphic's card... But anywho, Hope this helps for future reference:)
  2. Which files did you copy and paste? And from which folder?... and where did you paste them? Stupid question I know... I'm having a few issues myself, I'm thinking I might be doing something wrong?
  3. I'm having trouble changing the new freeplay map in LAmod to the original freeplay map... I am using Los Angeles Mod v2.1 (Which I assume is the lastest) and 911 First Responders from which I've read already has patch v1.3 built in... When I first installed LAmod a few weeks ago I chose to play on the 'New' map and that was great, worked perfect... Then I decided to play around with the 'Editior'... Adding new vehicles to the map, changing some objects etc. Just playing around with it and that worked perfect too... But now I want to change to the original map but I can't for some reason and there are a couple issues I'm having aswell........ First I tried the un-install method, Then re-installed LAmod from scratch and made sure NOT to tick the box which said 'Install new map as original map' but that didn't work, It still loads the 'New Map' I've tried using the 'MAP SWITCHER' file located in the WizardWorks/ 911-First Responders/Mods/Los Angeles Mod v2.1 folder and it says 'Type 1,2 or 3' I type in 2 to switch to original map and then I press any button to continue then it says "Access is denied' under every file, "0 file(s) copied". Then I try and 'Run As Administrator' and try again thinking it may be a privilege issue and then it says 'The system cannot find the path specified' 0 files copied. (I have no idea what is going wrong there) And last but not least I have tried the manual method by trying to copy and paste the dfreeplay.dds, dfreeplay.em4, freeplay.dss and freeplay.em4 files from the Original Freeplay Map folder over to the New freeplay map folder... It copies fine, But still loads the 'new map' not the original map... I then tried to copy and paste the same files over the main files located in the Main Maps folder in LAmod thinking it may be one of them but nope... Still Doesn't work??? I have re-installed the whole game 3 times and I have uninstalled and re-installed LAmod 5 times making sure all the files I could see in the directory were deleted... I've tried un-installing the Mod using the '911 First Responders Mod Installer' thinking that just deleting the folder manually is the wrong way to un-install the mod... But that didn't fix anything.... Also, When the map loads... The modifications I made to the map 2 weeks ago are still there.... Even after re-installing the whole game and mod from scratch, Does that mean even though I've un-installed the game and mod... somehow there are hidden files being left behind? I've made sure to delete the whole Wizardworks folder from C: drive but when ever I re-install and go into 'Editior' and load the freeplay map the changes are still there! Added cars, Buildings, everything I did to the map 3 installs ago lol. I think the map change issue may have something to do with this somehow???... Does anyone know where any hidden files may be located??? I don't mean to write a magazine article on this lol. But I'm fresh out of ideas, I've Google searched every method I could find on 'How to change the freeplay map' and still having no luck. The game doesn't crash and it also doesn't give me any error messages or anything, It loads fine.... I would appriciate any help on this as I'm sure someone out there knows how to fix it or what I'm doing wrong Thanks in advance everybody!!!
