  1. Can't wait...I'm ready to play it. Did you upgrade the model of the nypd caprice in version 2? It looked like the back fenders were missing or something but I could be wrong.
  2. That's odd, I haven't ran across it. Must be a minor bug, as long as it doesn't pose a problem I don't think anyone will be fixing it anytime soon.

  4. That, I don't know either. Mine works perfectly fine and shows up the way I want it to.
  5. Replace with what in the editor? I just make a copy of LA Mod 2.0 and paste it in the mod folders and rename it to like Los Angeles Mod 2.0 - Xplorer 4x4 or Los Angeles Mod 2.0 - NY Submod. After doing that, I open up the mod folder, open e4mod.info in notepad and change it to *See Below* for the NY Submod.
  6. You can pick and choose which you want to play. For me, if I played the NY map over and over and over again, it would get old fast so it would be cool to go to a different map with FDNY units on a modified LA Map. Dyson isn't competing, this submod was made for people to have some FDNY / NYPD units on the LA Mod to hold people off until the NY Mod is released. As you can tell, NY mod hasn't been released yet so Dyson wants to take it a bit farther and improved the submod a little more because as you said, it could be 3 more months until NY mod is released compared to Dyson releasing his in a little under a month. No one on these forums is competing who's mod is better etc, some people just think one is better than the other which is fine, let the fans of each mod decide what they want to play instead of causing problems to the other teams on their success. People put in a lot of time and work to make these mods and submods so have some respect. You work small and then work big and that's how Dyson is working. There were other mods in progression such as Chicago and DC but who knows what happened to them and there is a Boston reskin out there. If you want my input on cities, you can PM me because there is reasons why people choose where they are going to make their mod. This topic is not going to be a repeat of the NY Mod and getting locked out because members can't keep the peace. Let's not cause spam on this topic, if you have a problem with me, any other members, you can PM me or them and we can solve it there instead of in this topic. If moderators come on this topic, they are going to be very upset and start warning people including me and that is why we need to work things out in PM's and NOT on the topics. Dyson, your doing a great job and who cares what people think or say but there are some people out there you can't please and they think that they can come in and spam. So keep doing what your doing and there are several of us out there that are interested in you and your team's work. EDIT: Negative statements fixed, was a bit harsh.
  7. It's a long process of scripting but can you tell us what your plans are for the Police and FD because you could just download Xplorer's map and just make your modifications off that.

  9. What version of game are you playing? Try redownloading the LA Mod 2.0 again and installing and tell us if it does the same thing.

  11. I seen other vids that had Dyson's name in it and I was just asking him if those were his that he uploaded. I viewed yours and I liked it but youtube is addicting and makes you watch more and I came over some other NY Submod vids and made me curious.
  12. I like the vids on youtube, is that some of the progress of this submod that will be in next version? Off Topic: In a small town south of me, they use a air raid / tornado siren to alert off duty fire fighters that they need to respond to the station for a emergency call if more units are requested. I don't think it is too smart to do that but whatever floats their boat I say.

  14. Woohoo. I can't wait to play either of them because your v2.0 looks great. Your doing a great job and keep up the great work. Even if their mod comes out, I'll still play other mods because one map and vehicles get boring playing over and over again. You will have different vehicles than them and a different map / missions so its something new to me imo. I asked this in Miami Mod (they had a couple there) but I'll ask here too, what is the NYPD coach for? Is it a command post or to transport units?
  15. I noticed in the NY Submod and the Miami mod there is a coach bus. You have one made for the Fire-Rescue and Police, Is that like a command post or a mass transport unit?
  16. Alright, I fixed it and it now returns to station just like the engines. I made a couple mistakes and I finally found them. Copy my code and paste it over the SECOND USAR code. The first USAR code is fine.

  18. I second that, a huge riot and you need all forces to bring the city to order. I'm sure the president has been to NY several times, has there been anything that happened involving the president that you could script? I was thinking like a hostile crowd forces the president to be evacuated and it is your duty to block off the area with gates and shut down all streets to get him out of there safely? Sounds a bit boring though but its a mission. Is that battalion, engines, ambulances in the first version or second version that you have pictures on the first post?
  19. My LAToFireStation isn't complete yet but it is functional they just don't return to the fire station like the engines do. My units return to station with one of them pulls in from the front and the other pulls in from the back. I tried fixing it with no luck but below you will find out what you need to do to make it functional. Make sure you back up your current script before you do this just in case. This is done int he LAToFireStation script. One mistake here: const char VO_USAR2[] = "fs_usar02" - You need to change VO_USAR2 to VO_USAR02 Find the first USAR code (Just below the Battalion) and replace it with this: Then scroll down to the next USAR code and replace it with this: If you find a error or make it work like the engines, let me know and we will get it fixed.
  20. Thank you for not making a new topic. Yes, you can do that, I did the same thing but with the HES. It was a pain and I am still not finished with my script but I got them to return to station without any errors or problems. You shouldn't have to make a second OBJ_USAR but you do need to make a second virtual object line. Just below the fs_usar line, you need to add this: const char VO_USAR02[] = "fs_usar02";

  22. 1:) Can you lowercase the capital letters please? 2:) So you made a all in one installer of the LA Mod / Additional Units / PRL or is it the LA Mod with the option of PRL / Additonal Units? - I can read perfectly fine but I just want to make sure I did read this right.
  23. Don't think there is a limit. I've bought I don't know how many extra vehicles for the map without any money cheats or any problems. To aerotekh: For more free space, if you mean like parking your vehicles at the police, fire station, etc. you will have to make virtual objects in the editor and do some scripting in the fire station / police stations scripts to make the virtual objects functional for parking.
  24. All the instances are renamed from Ladder to HES and Tiller to Ladder. The fix now is just to fix the Ladder from parking 1/4 way outside of the firehouse.
  25. do you know what the script error said? it could be a simple fix.
