No offense but i could care less about what the mod contains. Im just giving you some advice to make it easy on you,me, and every one else because a PRL Submod exists, so naming your mod PRL isnt exactly the best idea because sooner or later people are going to start getting confused. People will start topics about PRL in the LA Mod forums making us think there discussing Project Reality Lights, when there discussion this mod, and vice versa. Point is I would suggest an ORIGINAL name. I actually came in this topic only because I thought it was about Project Reality Lights.If I knew it was about Poland or whatever, I wouldnt have ever checked the topic just because I dont like foreign mods.

Tony's Lights have not been updated in ages, so thats no surprise. Use Project Reality Lights instead.

My guess, humor, all be it failed miserably atleast by the looks of it and by my standards to.. Anyways, in all that rage you never really bothered to mention if you were running LA Mod 2.0 with patch 2 or 3, i forget what version we are on. This seems to have fixed traffic problems for the majority of people. Even at its worst I have never seen traffic to be so horrible to results to the level you have. I think your over reacted ALOT. Besides that 5 or 6 cars can not possibly cause grid lock. Before you ranted away, did you ever think maybe, just maybe theres something wrong on your end? I have had more unexplanatory crashes with this game then I have since I started using my first PC on Windows 3.1. I am fighting with the damn game atm as it wont load my mod after simply removing a command from a personnel that no longer could use it.

Gees its been less then 24 hours. Can he have some time to get the mod started? Anyways, I'd be glad to help script but i am a bit tied up at the moment. I cant script from scratch but if you want modifications to Hoppahs scripts I can help out.

You might consider a different name since theres already a PRL Submod. Why not just call it Poland Mod?

I would guess this could be part of the problem. Use bootcamp to install Windows 7(no point in sticking with XP any more). By running vmware your shearing your PCs resources(RAM,CPU,GPU) between Windows and Mac, essentially making the computer do twice the work, and vmware is likley holding back the full power of windows on your macbook. Secondly, being a notebook, my guess(as for the biggest problem) is cooling. Your video card sounds like it is over heating. Make sure you laptop had plenty of room to vent at all times, but more importantly during gameing.

Oh good point, try using the code tags next time, might make the code ab it easier to read. As for testing, i wish. Its a tedious problem as you usually need to go in to the game, test, and if you have an error, you can fix the script while the mods running, but for the game to realize you changed something as as small as a ; you have to exit the game and reload the mod. You may be able to get away with just reloading the mod from the main menu but sadly I usually see problems when trying to do it this way. Oh and Moo is right. Grab notepad2. It wont test it for you but can help you spot errors. -

Well in regards to the name As for the lightbar, wouldnt be hard to throw on an already skinned MX7000 lightbar if you guys plan to release an accurate model.

I think he meant exactly which dds file. It was kind of obvious already that your trying to unlock a dds file. Also what version of windows are you on? The dds plug in can cause problems with 64 bit windows, and in regard to Ifranview, i think it needs a plug in for dds support.

What billy is getting at is, thats why you have an ALS Engine at FS2. If some one is seriously injured in station 2s district, you can send the ALS Engine and use one of the medics to treat the person untill your ALS Ambulance arives, or until there healthy enough for BLS Transport depending on how realistic you want to play.

The vics might not use them, but I brought it up because people think the lightbar on the truck is wrong, and to me it looks like an MX7000 or maybe a lower profile version.

Whats the point in reskining the engineer? Have you ever tried to reskin a person? Not easy...not like reskining a vehichle.

No. I find Command Centers to be absolutely pointless in game. Sure in real life they serve a purpose when you have FFs working some huge brush fire over a large stretch where you may be at it for a day or two, but in game where fires are out pretty quick in freeplay we already have a battalion chief or 2 if your playing my submod, I see no reason for them.

Billyfromhill and I recently have had a long discussion regarding apparatus currently and formerly used by the LAFD. One thing that was brought to my attention is the ambulances of the LA Mod. To quote Mikesphotos: The 2 front line apertures still used both use the same paint scheme: However, the newer RAs going on to service differ only in that they use LED Lighting. I am considering removing the white over red style but I myself cant be asked to look at an ambulances unit number to tell if it is BLS or ALS. So I would like some feedback on the possibilities here. Option 1: We can keep the white over red seen HERE and keep the red ambulances as ALS. Option 2: Use the red ambulances for both ALS and BLS while removing the Hi viz striping of the rear like this. This means you will need to see the rear of the ambulance to see if it is BLS or ALS. Options3: Use the new rescue ambulances as ALS. The newer RAs have a substantial different grill then the older rescue ambulances, and also note the all LED lighting package, and different siren speakers. The older rescue ambulances will be demoted to BLS service. This means FS1 would be staffed by 3 of the new RAs while FS2 would be staffed by 1 of the old rescue ambulances that are currently in the mod. If you have any suggestions on the matter feel free to post them.

^wow, and on a side note, thats pretty high quality trait in my book, that you were paying enough attention to start on the way to the scene before you were toned out. You werent sitting around with your head up your ass waiting on dispatch to tone you out. Much respect for that.
