Thanks guys, in regards to w00ds map, I havent found any bugs but have had to do some path editing to accommodate some new additions. -
^not sure if thats going to matter. I am not sure traffic can be set by the XML. It may need to be set by editing the spawn points in the editor, but uploading xmls is not against the rules. A little activity wouldnt kill the place. Its been kinda dead all summer. :-/

Replace FS2 BLS Ambulance to ALS Ambulance

I dont even need to look at the script to tell you whats wrong in regards to returning to FS2. By default the ALS Ambulance knows to go to FS1 because its not supposed to go to FS2. Now your telling it, like the ALS Engine, to go to FS1 or FS2, but unless you tell the game that it needs to make a decision on which station to send it to, it only knows to go to FS1. This is going to be tricky, but you need to look at LAtoFirestation and look at how the code tells the game to go to FS1 if closer, or FS2 if it is closer. I suggest you do this instead as an easy work around. Load the editor, load the mod, now hit F1 if needed to get to the prototypes menu. Find the BLS Ambulance, and towards the bottom you will see 3 boxes. In the first one it should link to ambulance01.v3o. , click browse and select ambulance02.v3o instead. Then you need to alter your scripts again so ambulance1 spawns in FS2. This pretty much removes the BLS Ambulance and replaces it with the BLS Ambulance. -
I thought I would shows some screen shots of the next version in my submod series. Note that this is not even in the beta phase yet, so some things may change in the final version. Click the thumbnails for full size images. Here we have a previews of LAX RA 51. The former LAX RA from the mod was out of date. LA no longer has any front line ambulances with the front light bar mounted on the box. No major changes pictured here at FS1. However you can see the Heavy Rescue Crane is parked a bit different. There doesnt seem to be enough room for the HRC to park here 100% correctly so I may need to make some adjustments.There was slight map texture modification done here by me. Same goes for FS2, however notice this is the old FS2 model. As much as I prefer FS2 from LA Mod 2.0 it is to big and would take major renovation to fit it successfully. Again some texture modification was doen to accommodate the EMS charger and Brush. Renovations were done to the platform area of the train station to make room for the additional units. I tried to put them in the parking spots near the Tower truck, but due to tight quarters, they were causing the ladder truck to get stuck. Some more texture modification was done to accommodate parking spots for the police cars. SWAT Units and such will have there own parking lot on the other side of the station. Not everything is final, like I said, and these are not all the changes. Some things are best left a surprise! I hope you enjoy the preview.

As most of you know I have been hard at work with the LA Mod 4x4 submod series. 1 release down, 3 more to go! Each release will have a different map, but the changes wont stop there. I hope to include something unique to each version. The one talent I lack is Modeling/UV-Mapping, eggcarton has been hard at work on some modeling work for the next release. However, I need some one else to assist. For the time being, only one model is needed, but I wont say much about it in the open as of yet, but lets just say its a civilian car sort of. Just want to mention that as the challenges of doing a fire truck, for example is a bit different then that of a civil car as I understand it. If you think your models are up to par, I ask you post screen shots, here in this topic, of atleast 2-5 units you have modeled and UV-Mapped. The winner will be one of a select few who will get early access to the mod. Get your model pics in quick though, as I would like to pick some one in the next 24 hours or sooner depending on how many people are willing to take on the task Let's just say I hope to work with my team to take this release to a level beyond the first submod. Wow you typed all that when theres already a whole tutorial about it? You have more patience then I do lol. As for changing the dds to v3o, I am on Windows 7, so it might be ever so slightly different for Windows XP, but I dont think so. Start->Control Panel->Folder Options->Hide extensions for known file types(or something like that). Make sure the box is unchecked and then hit apply. Now you can change dds to v3o.

Thats ok. Just make sure to search first before you ask questions. If you searched first you would have had the answer right away rather then waiting 2 hours for an answer. Good luck with the reskins.

I dont see why not, but you dont have to be present during the time of the scan. Make sure you do a Complete scan.

That would be illegal, and Im surprised a mod hasnt locked this yet for that. And another rule broken. Prepare for an increase of spam. Never post your email in the open. Why couldnt some one just PM you a copy of the game?

Did you unlock the DDS files? If not search the forums. The answer is out there.

The crash may be a video card driver issue. The most common problem with EM4 is a crash to desktop. The most common solution to the problem is out of date video drivers. The drivers installed by Windows arent usually good enough.

Sorry im lost, one minute you dont have a lag then you do. Sounds to me, but i might be wrong, that its time for an upgraded PC. If you cant play EM4 you got a seriously slow PC. I used to play it on a P4 with Intel Graphics Chip and less then 2 GB of RAM.

First thing i would do is run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, just google it and use the free edition. Make sure you update it before you do the scan. Otherwise, cant really think of what may be the problem.

I noticed on Rescue Me they were using a Pierce Ladder truck. I questioned how real it was and stumbled on a bit of info. http://www.fire-engi.../number6810.asp I cant say for sure how acurate it is, but nice read.Be sure to read the comments to.

I guess I wasnt clear. I mean no offense but i could care less about your country or whatever. None the less, there was not a DDR Submod, so theres not another mod or submod to get confused with. Wow I can see the language barrier is not going to get my point across so this is my final attempt. Perhaps a translator, while rough, will provide a better understanding. First I am not checking Wiki because i could care less. Im not arguing the authenticity of the mod. I am simply trying to point out that the abbreviation is probably not a good idea. Because of the PRL Title of the thread, I thought it was some how related to Project Reality Lights which is abbreviated PRL. http://forum.emergen...reality-lights/ The mod names may be different but the abbreviation is the same and will cause confusion. Given the recent influx of lazy members I can already see members posting here asking about lights, and members asking in the Project Reality Lights thread for info on your mod. I am simpply saying instead of calling it PRL Mod call it People's Republic of Poland or PRP Mod(which makes more since then PRL Mod anyways). I am not saying you have to change it, I am simply trying to offer you guys advice to save your self some trouble. Anyways im done trying to explain this.

Edit your config file and you can zoom out as close or as far as you want. Yes there is, although phrased poorly, he wants to know if the ladder will have animations to extend the stabilizers out or if there just there for looks. I imagine the answer is yes, they will be animated but thats just a guess. If you look at the ladder video, i am sure you may find the answer.

You would have to add a new fire station to the lafirestationstart.script(to staff the trucks at start the game),lafirestation(to be able to respawn staff) and lafirestation to tell the trucks were to go.. Its a hell of alot of work and even I havent managed to script a third station successfully so good luck.

Is it possible to some how set multiple speeds on one path? I assume this would have to be scripted? Is it possible to spawn a Police Car along there path with there flashing lights turned off? I managed to set the patrol car on its path and assign it to a path but it starts patrolling with its lights on.

We need more then one line of the script. The thing is sometimes it may say line 71 but the problem is actually line 73, or 69. Usually its right on but it can be off.

Search the forum for "reskin" with out the quotes. You will find a guide, probably for LA Mod but its the same principal. This is discussed on a weekly basis so sorry I dont explain it in detail. As for the mods, if you like the featuers but dont like having 15 cop cars and fire trucks to choose from, just edit the freeplaybase.xml file for the mod, or dfreeplay.xml if you have EM4 Deluxe. At the start of the line add <!-- and at the end of the line add --> So for example, to disable the water tender in the LA Mod: Find: <vehicle prototype="mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/02 LA Fire Department/water_tender.e4p" count="2" /> Replace with: <!--<vehicle prototype="mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/02 LA Fire Department/water_tender.e4p" count="2" />--> Now if you need to disable multiple vehicles on 3 or 4 lines in a row do this: <!--<vehicle prototype="mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/09 Government/fbi_command.e4p" count="0" /> <vehicle prototype="mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/05 US Army/hmmwv.e4p" count="0" /> <vehicle prototype="mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/05 US Army/blackhawk.e4p" count="0" /> <vehicle prototype="mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/05 US Army/us_army_truck.e4p" count="0" />--> That method would allow you to enjoy mods iwth out having 15 cop cars and you could, in the LA Mod for example, cut it down to the LAPD Crown Vic, LAPD Slick Top and technically you have enough police units for freeplay.
